Peixotto Playground & Tennis Courts

These are the courts closest to my house, so I play there all the time. There are two courts side-​by-​side, tucked into the hillside, on the other side of the hill from the Randall Museum. The nets are both in very good shape and at the right height. The surface is in decent shape, though the lines could use some touch-​up. Foggy mornings – and there are many of these in Corona Heights – are not good times to play here because the trees will drip condensation onto the back half of both courts and make it very slippery. They’re fine when dry, but these make VERY slippery courts when damp. Don’t bother trying to play here on weekends between 9am and 1pm unless you want to try to join the pick-​up games played by the group of advanced GLTF’ers that congregate there. They take over the courts.
