History

Established in 1959.

A Greek and his wife opened Peter D’s as the traditional Greek family does with all family to run it. 55 years later it has become known as a San Francisco Tradition with generations of families returning each year on vacation to have their favorite breakfast item. Today little has changed, now when you come to Peter D’s you will be served by Peter’s long time employee Darlene. We take great honor to be working for family and it shows in how we treat each individual like family as they walk in the door. This is truly a Diner like no other. Please take a day and see it for yourself. Peter is 87 and his wife 70 but they are still here on Sundays to talk with their friends and extended family Our Customers. We are here for you 7 days a week 365 of the year. So make our Family Tradition one of yours and come see us.

Meet the Business Owner

Peter D.

Business Owner

In 1959 Peter &Martha Black opened Peter D’s café and have been there ever since. Through economic hard times to the bid quake in 1989 Peter has been open and running to the best of his abilities. Times are changing the old school Diner’s nearly a memory of childhood yet they are there to serve up Diner grub that is a go to for the one’s that drank too much the nite before. The owners are now 86 & 80 years old doing all they can to stay open. Thanks to all of the regulars they are doing well. Oh FYI. I find it hard to see a Diner with 3 generations working their at one time, so yea it’s all about family .come check it out
