Amazing soup. We got the seafood and rare steak phở. My husband does not like soup but he loved the phở flavors and his soup. Service is fast too. The shrimp and pork rolls are delicious!

Good price, foods and services. My favorite is Phở(#2) and #28. Place is small and have six rows of table.

Got their small combination phở. This came with tons of noodles and good amount of meat. The price was super cheap. Maybe 7 or 6 bucks. Service is fast. It’s located in the Tenderloin area and if you’re not familiar with San Francisco this is the hood. Their phở was good. have no complaint. I just wish it looked nice inside but I’m giving this a 5 star because soup and price were great.

As an SF native and currently still living here, I already have my staple Vietnamese restaurants in mind. I rarely would go out of my way to try a new place just because I know my favorites won’t ever fail me, but it so happened that my sister and I decided to try out a different place in the TL since we were in the area and craving soup noodle after watching the Warriors game at a nearby bar. We walked in and got seated immediately by the door, with others in Warriors gear slowly trickling in after we did. We got an order of imperial rolls and a large bun rieu. My goodness, their portions here are HUGE! And service was great! I have to say, their imperial rolls are the best I’ve had so far and definitely beat the other Vietnamese places I’ve been to. They come with a little side of rice noodles, cucumber, carrot, lettuce, cilantro and mint. These rolls are fat and come in 8 pieces(two huge rolls cut into fours). Then we got our large sized bun rieu to share and it was the perfect amount for us. LOTS of crab meat(more than I’ve ever seen before in a dish), LOTS of noodles, and a good amount of tomato & the Vietnamese style pork sausage. And the bill turned out to be about $ 16 total! Not bad at all! Only downside about here is that the place is off Larkin and it isn’t the cleanest/friendliest area in the city, but if you’re looking for some quick, cheap hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese food in the Tenderloin and hefty portions, this is a great choice!

This was pretty average. Nothing too special about this place. I had the rare steak phở and it was just ok. Got a rice plate for my daughter, the pork chops and rice with shredded pork, there was a lot of rice, but the pork chop was super small. It looked like a bone with few pieces of meat hanging off it. It tasted good though lol. I don’t think I’ll be coming by here anytime soon, maybe I’ll try that turtle place next door.

I was craving Vietnamese food after an administrative nightmare at Kaiser, so I picked my study bug up at the Main Library and wandered in for some good eats. He «wasn’t hungry» so we ordered an order of Imperial rolls and a large #1 phở. The Imperial rolls came with lots of vegetation and fish sauce and were fried to perfection! I thought I had had them before, but the crispy skin was not the smooth kind on spring rolls I expected. We shared the generous portion of phở; the broth was sweeter than most, but still very tasty. I enjoyed the open kitchen up front and how light and airy the restaurant is. The tea is very strong and tasted even better with a mint sprig from our Imperial roll garnishes. Service was very efficient and it was the first time I had ever had the server wait until we finished our appetizers before bringing the entrée! At about $ 10pp this is definitely a return destination when I’m in the area!

Living in South Bay where access to CHEAP, GIGANTOR, DELICIOUS, FRESH phở in SJ is abundant… I just can’t seem to love this SF spot. I had the small size seafood phở, and since so many Unilocalers were saying that the SMALL was in fact a large in their eyes… I thought cool, alright, I’m going to be extremely stuffed just like they were. Wrong. I keep forgetting that I don’t eat like the typical small asian girl, so I definitely could have benefited from a large. HOWEVER, one gold star to phở 2000 for having different noodle types: thin and thick! I am a noodle savant and I absolutely appreciate that choice, and obviously I always go thin with my phở. Not only was portion size underwhelming, the seafood used was all«faux» from imitation crab to weird rubbery squid and fish cake. At least have some real fish slices or crab balls and what not. Service is super efficient and awesome, shoutout to the two guys serving on an early Thursday evening. Another gold star for the complimentary hot tea upon being seated! I think the phở itself wasn’t tremendously tasty, nor was it the best bowl I’ve had(SJ holds that title down for me). It could be that my taste buds are spoiled by the delicious phở spots in South Bay, but I think that it’s a whole combination of the small portion, lack of seafood in the actual seafood phở, scary-dirty health standards, lack of employee cleanliness courtesy(saw the phở lady cough into the kitchen… gross), and all-around lackluster phở just didn’t fill me up. However, all things considered, I can see why SF people might think this is the best«legit» phở they’ve ever had, but come to the South Bay and we’ll show you a phở-freakin’ good time.

Delicious, cheap bowls of phở! Not in the best part of town unfortunately but the inside of the restaurant feels cozy. Service was quick and attentive. The small size is already very filling and only costs $ 7. I got the special combination rice noodle soup which came with all the different types of beef. My favorite one was the beef balls. The soup was light and flavorful. I didn’t need to add any sauce to it.

Great phở in the Tenderloin! Bowls are quite large. I was really full after eating the small and it’s $ 7.10, which is the cheapest I’ve found in the TL. The Sunset has cheaper places(i.e. Kevin’s Noodle House). Portions are generous — huge bowls, lots of noodles, good amount of meat, and lots of vegetables that you can add. The broth itself was thicker and more flavorful than I usually expect in phở broth(I like it light, not too overpowering) so that was a little suspect to me and made me question if it had MSG. I didn’t get thirsty after which is a good sign. But either way it tasted great, and is obviously well worth the money!

A phở restaurant that has so much more to offer! Classic Little Saigon Hole-in-the-wall restaurant that offers multiple pages of authentic and comforting Vietnamese food. This is my go-to on a rainy day. When I have a small sniffle. When I’m hungry but still want to eat light. And ESPECIALLY when I don’t have to dance that night and can loosen the belt buckle a little bit. Sit down, order a «small» bowl of phở and a few minutes later a bowl that can be mistaken as large is brought out. Top with all your favorite garnishes and herbs and dig in! Although most people here eat the beef phở(Kyle H. claims it’s the best he’s ever had. except maybe my mom’s), I eat the Veggie phở. The broth is very light, but I just love how loaded with veggies it is! Broccoli, carrots, tofu, zucchini, onions, etc. Once I load up my bowl with mint, cilantro, bean sprouts, and jalapenos, I have an overflowing bowl of soupy goodness. When I finish the entire bowl, I am thoroughly stuffed, but not bloated. I feel great! Other vegetarian offerings include: Banh Xeo Chay(Vietnamese Yellow Crêpe)-Really good and oversized! Goi Cuon Chay(Vietnamese Rolls) Cha Gio Chay(Veggie Egg Rolls) Bun Chay(Vermicelli Noodles with Tofu) Various Vegetable & Rice Dishes So even if you’re not in the mood or a fan of phở(these people exist??), there are things you can eat while your friends gorge on oversized bowls of noodles and broth. Oh, and like a true small sized Vietnamese gem, this place is easy on the wallet! Less than $ 10 for most items!

Great PHO spot in the Tenderloin. Staff is clean, quick and friendly. The menu is HUGE and has so many options(meat and vegetarian or seafood)! They also have other great entrees than just PHO. We ordered: — Seafood Phở w/wide noodles(small size portion was BIG for me. I couldn’t finish it). — Imperial Rolls(veggie) — delish but a bit greasy. — Shrimp Chow mein — huge portion a teency weency bit salty. — Vietnamese iced coffee, SUPERSTRONG and delish — Thai iced tea. The ONLY reason I’m giving this restaurant 4 instead of 5 is because it’s CASHONLY. Which was a super bummer since we didn’t realize until we were done with our meal and my husband had to go leave to find an ATM. I just feel with technology these days and living in a big city, you HAVE to HAVE a card option — even square or something! Other than that, I’d definitely come back :)

There are two things in life that makes me very happy: a bomb ass burrito and a piping hot bowl of phở. A great bowl of phở is quite simple: a clear broth, a generous abundance of fresh beef cuts/yummy goodness, and fresh noodles. And guess what? Phở 2000 delivers on this!(Let’s look past the part where the soup was a bit oily, but other than that, it was a very happy experience.) I liked how their«small» bowl of phở was quite generous compared to other phở restaurants in SF and I felt pleasantly full. Minus one star for the restaurant being stuffy upstairs. I was literally sweating bullets when I was eating and thought I was transported back to the time I had phở in Vietnam lol. Other than that, I will definitely will visit Phở 2000 again ^___^

Large #12 please(yes, I can finish it). The thing about phở places is that everyone thinks their phở restaurant is the best one, except this one really is. The pictures on Unilocal should already have you drooling! The phở here is absolutely delicious! The broth is perfectly savory and is accompanied with generous portions of meat, and noodley noms. You won’t be able to stop dipping and slurping until your bowl is empty. This little hole in the wall is worth stopping in when you’re craving a giant bowl of hot phở. Veg friendly, too! Cash only!

The tenderloin is changing. Maybe because it was a rainy night, there were not as many people standing around. Found Pho2000 on Unilocal since my friend suggested phở before the ballet. The place was almost full on Sunday just after 5. It’s a good value. It’s reassuring to see huge pots of soup cooking on the stove in front. We both had phở tai, the rare beef with thin rice noodles in soup. Flavor was ok and the quantity of soup was very generous for a small. We probably should have ordered an appetizer since I got hungry later. If you’re in the neighborhood this is a quick warm meal.

Cheap, GIANT bowls of phở. I like the #3 which has all the different types of meat in it– don’t come in too late though, I came in once at 730(they close at 830) and at 840 sharp they walked by the table with a shout over their shoulder of «You have to leave now, bye!». Hey, customer service isn’t great, but the food is pretty good. Cash only.

I’m not sure what the story behind the name Phở 2000 is, but I would like to hear it! I was in the area with my girlfriend and she was craving phở — well she always is haha. Phở 2000 looks like a small family owned business, so it was definitely something to look forward to. As I was reading the reviews, I saw that the imperial rolls were the one of the most popular items on the menu. We ordered one phở with rare beef and the rolls. The phở broth was flavorful and the noodles were cooked well. The imperial rolls were a bit greasy bit I loved the filling and the crunch! I wish the service was a little faster since I went before the lunch rush and there were only 2 other parties. All in all it was a pleasant experience.

Phở 2000 is like a bowl of phở: you never know what you’re gonna get. Or is that chocolate? Whatever, life’s a gamble. You rarely get what you expect. Located in the tender-nob, it can be a sketchy walk at night but overall it’s harmless. I enjoy coming here when I want phở because the bowls are big, cheap, and oftentimes delicious. Phở isn’t an exact science though, so sometimes when I come it’s too greasy, or too bland, or too meh. I’d say 7.5 times out of 10, phở 2000 does it right. Don’t get the big noodles though. BEWARE of the big noodles, they are not like the ones you eat at your grandma’s house. The big noodles here are mushy and unappetizing. Stick with tiny noodles and you’ll be satisfied with your decision. I had the imperial rolls once and they were yummy. Very crispy and served with a bunch of lettuce, which is quite authentic. I also tried the bun xeo(pancake crêpe thingie) but it was nothing special, I’d pass on that next time. The place has a homey feel and I always see the same staff so I assume it’s family-owned. Don’t expect warm service, but they are super quick. You’ll be in and out in less than 45 minutes.

After a night of fun, phở is always a good go to meal. Our group of 8 came for breakfast and were seated upstairs. We split the imperial rolls, shrimp rolls and I ordered the large portion of phở and was pretty satisfied with my meal. The shrimp rolls were very forgettable and I would not recommend ordering them. The imperial rolls were worth getting albeit a bit pricey. They were super hot fresh out of the oven, so be careful not to burn the roof of your mouth. This place is cash only.

I frequent this place after a heavy night of drinking. Their phở hits the spot! You know it’s legit when you see the huge phở pot right as you walk in. Delicious clear broth, huge bowls, generous meat portions, and always piping hot. The chicken phở is also a great option with a lighter tasting broth. Most recently, I got the bun rieu(tomato seafood/pork noodle soup) which was also delicious. Small hole-in-the-wall, but their food is a great price. Cash only of course, but luckily there’s an ATM located at the Lee’s Sandwich down the street.

3.5 stars PHOTAIBOVIEN. I love them beef ballzzz and rare steak. The broth is fragrant, not too salty(no msg?) and rice noodles cooked just right. I also love their phở ga and cha gio. But what we LOVE most about this place is the value. $ 7.89 for a BIG bowl. When it’s raining outside(and guess what? California DOES get rain!) ain’t nothing better than a bowl of phở.

Resto Vietnamien très sympathique. On mange bien.
