I ordered a bbq chicken pizza and it was very good. I usually prefer a thicker crust, but I honestly can’t complain. There was a generous amount of chicken on the pizza, which is always a plus in my book. The bbq sauce did not have an overly sweet flavor, instead having a more«smoky» taste. The pizza wasn’t dripping in grease, which is good and bad. Being from the east coast, I’m used to a more«drippy» pizza. That said, this was a pleasant, probably healthier, experience. My only negative comment would be that the basil was a touch heavy. Other than that, the pizza was great and the delivery was timely for midnight on a Friday(about 45 minutes). I haven’t eaten a ton of pizza in this city, but this is the best I have ordered. I’m still hoping to find a spot where I can find a cholesterol raising, greasy pie, but I realize that isn’t what many people want.

I’ve been to pizza pino a couple times because it is open late and close to the wreck room. I had to do some research to find out what this place was actually called because my friends and I usually call it pizza vs. shawarma due to the fact that they serve pizza AND shawarma. It is a heated source of debate whether the pizza is better or the shawarma. Some say pizza, some say shawarma, but after last night I have finally settled on shawarma. Admittedly, neither of them are mind blowing at pizza vs. shawarma, but last night I ordered a veggie pizza and took a major L. They didn’t heat it up and it tasted very average, but as I was hungry, I ate it anyway. Then the next morning, me and my boy who shared some pizza with, both weren’t feeling too hot. It wouldn’t bother me too much if it was just a mild upset stomach, but I was literally rolling around in my bed in the fetal position for 2 hours. Eventually it passed, but I I think I will be sticking with the shawarma. Although, one of my friends got a banana there last night, which I thought was a pretty chill move. Pizza vs shawarma vs banana.

Solid pizza joint. Not glamorous or trendy, but tastey food at super affordable prices. The customer service is warm and friendly, very sweet.

I would give this place more stars if I could! I called initially for a pizza delivery in the afternoon, however I was told they only deliver after 3pm. So I went in to pick up the pizza myself and was so glad it happened that way! I was an hour late to pick up the pizza and the lady behind the counter was so kind and thoughtful. She charged me less than the price we had agreed upon(because it was an incorrect online ad in that she was still honoring, and she had initially told me she would charge me 2 $ more than the deal) only because she felt bad I was not picking up the pizza absolutely fresh!!! She was so passionate about it too, and many times over mentioned she felt bad giving me the pizza that was not straight from the oven… even though I was late to pick it up. Also, while I was there, a neighbor lady came in and we got talking and she happened to mention that the store owners give away leftover food to her to distribute to the homeless. I will always come back to this place for pizza — Delicious pizza served with kindness! and a beautiful lesson in generosity!

Pinos is the most rude and unorganized pizza joint in the city. Dont ever try to hold them accountable for anything. I wouldn’t know what their pizza tastes like because I never got it delivered. Once I tried to order a pizza, they failed to deliver and blamed me for the snafu. Their phone representative was rude and unwilling to accept responsibility.

Cock Roaches!!! Yeah… Thought it tasted ehh for drunk pizza than saw the roaches AFTER I finished. Yes ROACHESASINCOCKROACHES. Please excuse me as I go throw up my meal. Nerve again. Response to your message: I’m a food business owner myself. I know what goes into SF health code and all. I also know a cockroach when I see one. Also, when i became a food safety a manger, being able to identify them in all shapes and sizes was a huge part of pest prevention. I don’t need to come in a see a piece of paper when not only I saw, my fiancé saw it too. If they hadn’t run under I would of got a picture for you. For all I know if you have s close relationship with the terminax people and they give you warning or fix the issue temporarily. Long story, I really don’t care about a piece of paper from a pest company when I saw with my own two eyes. Oh dose it help that your pizza was the only things i ate all afternoon/night and threw up all night? Regardless if I had NOT seen roaches, the pizza was still a 1 star. I didn’t get it from somewhere else. I was right next door at soda pop and I came in with a group of 6 people and the guy at the counter seemed annoyed from the start with the fact that we didn’t know what we wanted. With the crappy pizza and that«excellent» customer service, it’s surprising you’re at 2.5 stars. Unfortunately I didn’t Unilocal where we were headed before hand as I normally do and I wish I did. Because 2.5 stars in a city like SF, sober, buzzed or drunk isn’t worth my business. I’m sure you’ll still get business(not from me) which is good for you but being stubborn and saying its hard to believe that I saw cockroaches when in reality it really isn’t hard to believe based off of the looks of the place to start, old reviews or rats and other things, it’s believable. love this place for their shawarma wraps and good prices! nothing beats family owned and cooked food, and polite staff. Combo shawarma wrap w/avocado is what i recommend,. Their pizza is good as well with several types to choose from. No complaints here, anyone i recommend to always returns.

I love their pizza! Thin crust, crispy, perfect amount of tomato sauce and cheese. Early this year has been remodeled and since then it is better organized and more consistent. People who work there are polite and reliable. Mozzarella sticks are good as well. The only downfall? Highly frequented by drunk kids of Polk Street

Horrible, horrible delivery service. Likely the worst experience I’ve ever had in the city. It took over an hour and 45 minutes to get a sandwich delivered — and when I called in to get an update, I was strung along and told that the«driver was on the way» more than another 30 minutes before he arrived. I only live about 4 blocks away, so this was just obviously not true. Totally unacceptable. By the time I got the food, it was cold and gross. I will never be trying this place again.

FREAKINDELISH! Just moved here from the East Coast and was not able to find ANY pizza spot that could compare thus far(little biased since New York Pizza is by far the best). Went in last night and was blown away at how cheesy, crunchy and perfect the pizza was! Will definitely be ordering here again! Spoke with the owner and told us he has been in business for 19 years! Keep up the great work!

Okay… yah its a hole in the wall pizza… but honestly… if you live a block away and are drunk and need a slice… they are open… what are you gonna do?! Everybody has their guilty pleasure drunk spot no matter how bad(cuz you’re drunk right!?) … this place delivers when your drunk. Kudos to those guys for putting up with us!!! Thanks for putting up with me for 2 years. I now live far away but when I’m drinking nearby I cant help but wanna go sometimes…

I just got over food poisoning and I’m scared I’ll get it again. I was craving pizza and went to the closest place while I wait for my bf to get off work. This pizza was not only bland but disgustingly undercooked. You’d think it’d be nice and warm after they reheat it, no it was barely even warm. But my dumbass was starving and ate it. Ranch dressing couldn’t save it! Let’s pray to the food gods that I don’t get food poisoning for the second time this weekend.

Mediocre pizza, but they’re dependable. I usually get a cheese and mushroom with bell peppers or a pepperoni, and it’s nothing to call home about, really. Super thin crust, not a lot of toppings… there’s definitely better food in the area.

You’ve gotta be kidding me… I ordered wing from here. They took 50 minutes to deliver them. When the guys came he said the were crispy. Forget burnt a bunch of them were charcoal black. Shady. Go somewhere else there a bunch of better place around the corner.

It’s kind of hard to not like pizza when drunk at 2am, but that’s what happened to me here. Their crust was really thin and pretty hard. I mean it wasn’t the worst pizza ever so I’m still giving them 2 stars, but I wish I had just stuck with the«dirty dogs» outside– those never disappoint. They also took a while with our orders. Not satisfying at all. I gotta remember to Unilocal even in my drunken states.

Took 20 min to realize they lost our order of a veggie pizza. Another 20 to get what we actually had ordered an paid for! Except that they didn’t actually give us what we had ordered on the pizza. So yeah. Avoid. At all times. One should not have to deal with such incompetence.

They have a rat in their restaurant so you shouldn’t trust ordering any food that is fit to eat and not make you sick!!! Where are the health codes? They just laughed when I said something.

We ordered the«Family Combo» which is 2 med. pizzas with 2-toppings each, 10 hot wings and garlic bread for about $ 35! At first we thought it was too expensive! Then after we finished our dinner we realized that its not that bad considering it included delivery and tip too!!!

About 90% of my positivity is based on the staff — what a great bunch of guys. This is my neighborhood place, and they take good care of me every time. Very nice people. The pizza — is alright. I can’t say it’s particularly amazing, but it is also just fine. Maybe a little pricy for what it is, but welcome to Nob Hill — over-paying is the story of life. Nothing that stands out, except it always seems to be open. Don’t bother with the garlic bread. If you need a place late at night around California and Polk, this is pretty much a go-to. Fresh slices are there until the wee hours. If it weren’t half a block from home, I probably wouldn’t go out of my way. But, if you’re in the hood, it’s as good as most of the other options.

Happened to walk by Pizza Pino when I was told to bring some grub to my friend’s place so I thought«why not?» As uninspired as that choice goes, the same can be said about the pizza. So on the upside, there was nothing horribly wrong — the pizza wasn’t undercooked or anything. In fact, I heard later that it’s from the same folks who own Le Petite Marchet so it’s pretty much the same but at least the latter has chicken schwarmas as a lifeboat. The pizza is mediocre though and the folks here, while earnest, aren’t the quickest. It took a while to figure out my bill when all I ordered was 2 pizzas. Props for opening late though — past closing time at bars so it’s there if you need an alcohol mop. But as far as pizza in the neighborhood goes, the next time I’m going to make the effort to walk that little bit more to get better pies at Victor’s.
