We ordered take-out here, and my young son made the mistake of standing in the wrong spot after using the bathroom. For this we were ordered by the obviously angered waiter to stand outside. We never returned. It’s a small place, kids stand in the wrong place: I get it. But no need to be nasty about it. You’re in a family neighborhood — across from an elementary school, no less. You can take your hipster attitude to the Mission.

Oh god, this pizza is amazing. I’m surprised it’s taken me 5 years of living in the neighborhood to finally eat here. We ordered take out because, it was Sunday, a holy day for game of thrones, and it was not to be missed. Ordered two pies and paid a cheerful staff at the register. The atmosphere is super casual but classy at the same time. The pizzas took about the standard time it takes to bake, 30 – 40 min and it was just delicious. Simple, flavorful, balanced and light. Don’t skip 5 years like I did.

Very nice. Never been here before and have been around it for so long! We were coming with six, and had to wait not that long, knowing that it was dinner time. The waiter was really kind and nice and offered to move two tables to accommodate for our seating. Started off with 2 drinks, which came bottled. The Mexican Coke and a Root Beer. Not bad, but a bit steep for the price; but also affordable. Ordered 4 pizzas and the daily special salad. The salad came at 10 and the pizzas came all together at the 30 minute mark. The wait time was slightly lengthy, but makes sense because they gotta bake it at the time. The pizzas were AMAZING!!! The crust was crispy and crunchy. The toppings were really flavorful. And you could tell that it was all fresh. Appropriate sauce: cheese ratio, which is important for pizza. The dough was a little thin, but I think that it was their style. Everything was light and flavorful and perfect! Everything came down to the bill. All together, the price was… ~drumroll~ $ 83!(Before tax and tips) So about 14 dollars per person, which is not too bad! It’s really gourmet and really«American»(if you can call it that [^+^’]) Service 5⁄5 Food 5⁄5 Price 5⁄5 Would most definitely come here again!!!

Cute little place hidden in the neighborhood. I might have driven by numerous times or walk right past by it without even realizing it was there. My sister told me to check out this place if it’s comparable to Firehouse Pizza. Firehouse Pizza is a block from here and we love that place! You won’t find your usual pepperoni and cheese pizzas here, but farm eggs, wild arugula and margaritas as pizza toppings. The flavor is there, the choices are unique, and the ingredients are fresh. All the pizzas we ordered were delicious. However, the price is pretty hefty for a personalized sized pizza, especially for a thin crust. With 4 pies, my boys were still hungry for more. We went home, digging through the pantry for more food.

This place was absolutely amazing. Food was delicious and the sparkling wine was great! We ended our night with the flour less chocolate cake and panna cotta and it was yummo! Oliver was our waiter and he was very friendly and very welcoming. In my eyes he should get a raise! We need more waiters like Oliver. If he is your waiter tip him good. We’ll be coming back and hopefully Oliver will be our waiter!

I live so close to this place and I just tried it not too long ago! I can’t believe how fresh and tasty these pizzas are! I love how it’s seasonal and ingredients change on the menu often! Cheese salad: 5⁄5: it was a pretty large salad with a great mix of cheese, olives and bread! I liked how everything worked well together, sometimes with salads it feels like it’s lacking in something and this one was delicious! Well, if you like cheese that is! Farm egg pizza: 5⁄5: absolutely blown away, we finally tried the farm egg pizza that everyone raves about and it was delicious! The pizza had potato, bacon, lots of mozzarella cheese. It was the perfect balance. Didn’t think potato would go well with it, but it was thinly sliced and tasted so good with the egg and cheese. Curry pea pizza: 5⁄5: so good! It had a nice green curry sauce on the bottom, had some greens, peas and delicious mozzarella cheese on top! It was different but it was also delicious! Definitely will be back here in the future to try more pizzas! One of my top choices for nearby pizza! Total for 2: $ 50

Pizzetta 211, home to some of the best pizza in San Francisco, thankfully hidden away from the hype and crowds in a corner of the Outer Richmond. I’ve wanted to try Pizzetta for years and finally made it here this weekend after my boyfriend moved within 2.5 blocks(best aspect of his new place). We walked over for a late dinner at 8:35 p.m. or so and were seated right away outside under a deliciously warm heating lamp. They close at 9 p.m. but as long as you’re seated or even on the wait list before at by 9 p.m., you’ll be served. We tried the field green salad to start — basic, but great dressing. Next up: those damn pizzettas. Our server told us that half of the six pizzettas listed rotate, and the others are ones they’ve served for something like 17 years. We tried two of the rotating ones, though I wish we had dabbled in the OG ‘zas. There’s aways next time. HIGHLY recommend the prosciutto cotto with gruyère, chives, whole grain mustard(trust them, it’s incredible) topped with two luscious fried farm eggs. The other one we tried — housemade pork sausage, roasted tomato sauce, baby kale, shaved parmesan — was equally delicious. Great flavor combinations, fresh ingredients, thin crust, could have eaten a thousand slices. I’m salivating just thinking about it. Pizzetta means«little pizza» so each is smaller than a typical pizza(Our waiter described the size as enough for«one very hungry adult.») Great for sharing and trying multiple pizzas. Can’t wait for my next Pizzetta experience.

A hole in the wall home-style pizza joint. Wait times are long since they have very limited seating. Pizza menu changes every week. Creations are very original, delicious, and worth the wait. The desserts, when available are worth the wait as well. They serve good beer as well.

My favorite neighborhood pizza place and one of my favorite pizza places in SF. Pizzas here are thin crust, almost like a flatbread/cracker. The menu is small but it changes so you get to try new pizzas the next time you come back. Ingredients are fresh every time! Only bad thing is that there’s often a wait Bc the place is small, so just allow your mind and body to be prepared(dress warmly) for a wait!

I’ve grown up in the neighborhood so I frequently pass this place and all I have to say is… I regret not trying this place sooner. I got the Farm Egg, Fingerling Potato, Bacon, White Cheddar, Crème Fraiche, Chives Pizza & it is definitely one of the best quality pizzas I’ve ever had. The flavors complement each other incredibly well & i like that the crust is fairly thin. It’s not the cheapest place for a pizza, priced at $ 17.50, but you’re definitely getting what you pay for & it is absolutely worth it. Seating here is scarce & I’ve seen it get incredibly crowded, luckily I live in the neighborhood so I ordered for take out & they were ready in 10 minutes!

Great small place to eat at. Came here this past sunday around 2 pm and were seated at the bar within 20 minutes. Food: Started with the daily appetizer $ 9.50 which was toast with avocado and a sardine on top. This paired very well with a small arugula salad tossed in some sort of vinaigrette. Ordered the farm egg pizza $ 17.50 that had some fingerling potatoes and prosciutto. The crust was thin and crunchy. The pizza overall was very well made and would probably order it again. However the prices were up there and overall the price for a daily appetizer + pizza + tip came out to around $ 34 that still left me hungry.

5 years since my last review here, and the place is as good as ever. I came here tonight with my wife and sat at the bar — the staff, customers, and food were all a perfect blend. Kept it simple with the cheese salad(Humboldt Fog and a Sheep Milk tonight) a margharita, and the mascarpone with arugula pies and it was the perfect choice. Olive Oil Cake with fresh whipped cream and strawberries could not be any better. It had been way to long since my last visit, and this was a quick reminder that it’s worth making the time for. Thanks guys!

What’s in a name? Pizzetta 211 tells you what’s on the menu, and the number on 23rd street that you can find the restaurant. Clever eh? The pizzetta’s are good — as well as the wine. I had the white anchovy — which is a high grade anchovy cured in a vinegar. Sofie had a rosemary pizzetta. Both were good. I had a glass of the Italian red — $ 10 for a small pour. Tip: Buy the bottle for $ 30 if you want wine because you can get 10 of their $ 10 pours for that price. This is a neighborhood«hole in the wall» place. Rather charming — but rather costly. The lunch was about $ 40 for us.

Oh. My. Pizza! I’ve had Pizzetta 211 in my bookmarks FOREVER, so I was so excited to give it a try. My friend and I came on a Wednesday night @ 7 p.m. and there was no line, and a table was just opening. Perfect! The server was really nice and attentive, but I kind of felt he was also a teensy tiny bit condescending. Maybe it was just me. Shrug. ANYWHOO, we each had a glass of wine and shared the charcuterie board. I forget what it all came with, but it was three kinds of meat(salami, prosciutto and one more), olives, pickled peppUers(spicy ones!), bread, and I believe honey djion mustard. The mustard was YUM. If they sold it, I’d buy a jar to take home haha I had the San Marzano Tomato Sauce, Mascarpone, Wild Arugula, Olio Verde pizza and it was SOGOOD. I really wish it came with meat, or that there was the option to add meat =/The tomato sauce is heavennnnnnn; it’s ridiculously creamy and really gets you that nice tomato flavor without tasting kind of sour, if you get what I mean. The arugula on top was so fresh, crispy and crunchy. I believe there was also mozzarella on the pizza too. My friend had House Made Pork Sausage, Roasted Tomato Sauce, Red Onion, Caper Oil, Parmesan pizza and that was so good, too! I’d definitely come early and come on a weekday to avoid a wait! Can’t wait to come back and try their other pizzas.

We came here for this first time a couple weeks ago. We were starving, craving pizza, and chose this place based on it’s astronomical Unilocal status. A couple things of note: yes, as mentioned in almost every other review, this place is teeny tiny. We were lucky to get there when we did and snag a table. Still though, the tables are small and you’re so close to the table next to you, it makes getting up awkward. Ok, now the reason for my 3-star rating: they brought our food to the wrong table. Ok, let me explain, normally this wouldn’t upset me so much, but this restaurant is a TINY room with only 4 or 5 tables– how do you mix up the tables? Worse, they gave our order to a couple who came in, sat down, and ordered probably 15 minutes after us. Again, the restaurant is super small, so we were keen on the fact that a table who had come in much later than us was eating before us, which is annoying in it’s own right, and that they were eating what we had ordered. Then the waiter came up to us and said, «Sorry, there’s been a mixup, we brought your food to the wrong table. We’re starting your pizzas now.» Ugh. So we wait another 15 minutes, starving(see above), watching a couple graze the pizzas we ordered. Ok so the pizzas themselves get 5⁄5 stars. Yes, amazing, delicious, mouth watering, unique pizza comparable to those in Italy. They are small though, and I would say, over-priced. Take away: Amazing pizza, though small portioned and over-priced. Sub-standard service. We will probably be back, but not dying to anytime soon. And we definitely wouldn’t come during prime-time dining hours when it’s sure to be busy.

Let me start off by saying, Pizzetta 211 is a small place. Actually, I mean to say a tiny place. Inside only seats 16 people, but really should only seat 14 people. From your seats you can see the chefs and the one server. Two of the tables are in a little nook on each side of the doorway when you walk in. The other two tables seat 4 but should really only seat 3 since they are tight against the place where they store the plates. There is also a counter for 4 people. There is a few outdoor tables too. The pizzas are around $ 15-$ 17, but can really only feed 1 person. We noticed that even a couple of girls next to us were able to finish 2 pizzas, a starter, and even had a dessert. The pizzas were great, but honestly were way too small for the price. Since the menu rotates every two weeks, I am not sure what good I’ll do by making you drool of over what we ordered. I have to say, the crust was outstanding though. The service was lacking terribly though. I am not a needy customer at all, but in a room so small, I can see or even yell to the server. I just felt like we were bothering her and interrupting her socializing. We waited outside for a table to free up. The customers left and then she waited a while to clear the table, not even wipe it. Then another 10 minutes passed. At this point it was starting to rain, so we asked if the table was ready. She looked over at it and said yea, as if we supposed to know. Bringing our menus, bringing drinks and bringing us the check, all seemed to take her a laborious amount of time. Keep in mind, I can almost reach out and touch her from my seat. My gripes were not about her perceptive and attentiveness, but it is about the time it took her to actually act on our requests. Poor chefs were hard and work(right in front of her as well) and she kept talking to them or whomever at the bar. We honestly felt like an inconvenience. Food — 4⁄5 Value −3÷5 Service — 1⁄5

Practically closing my eyes as I’m about to inhale my slice of pizza, I open my eyes to find another table staring at me as I’m mid-bite. Uhh excuse me, please allow me to have some alone time with my pizza… but at the same time I wanted to say«yeah you should totally order this pizza, it’s delicious, and I would probably be staring too!» Winter version of the Farm egg pizza ooouu yeah that hit the pizza cravings. «Come to mama» was all I could think when I first laid my eyes on it. The crust is just so crisp and soft in the right areas and the combination of what is put on the pizza just works well together and is not exactly what I’ve had at other pizza places. It makes their menu choices stand out! Glad I came. Cute spot. I liked it :-)

Update #2 — I’ve been here 5x since my last review, and it’s just as excellent as when I first came here. I’m obsessed with their San Marzano pizza, it’s melt in your mouth delish. Since the 5x I’ve been here, I’ve taken as many different friends with me and they too, say it’s excellent. Don’t forget to try the cheese plate salad thingie. It’s just as excellent as their pizza’s. Wow. This is a teeny tiny pizza place but, they can definitely give Delifina a run for its money. Seriously. Blown away with their thin crust pizza. But be prepared to be wind swept away with their homemade desserts. The lovely woman behind the counter is a pastry chef. And she does an absolutely fine job with the desserts. Especially the lemon verbena panna cotta. It was PERFECT. And I’ve had ALOT of desserts from high priced restaurants that doesn’t hold a candle to this. I will def be coming back with a slew of my entourage and then some. This neighborhood is lucky to have Pizzetta 211 here.

Their thin crust savory pizzas were absolutely incredible, but this was the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. From the moment my friend requested a table, the server projected an extremely offensive attitude, making our dining experience difficult and unpleasant.

Pizza was great(4 stars) — seasonal and quality ingredients. But my gosh, I have never encountered such a rude waiter before(service — 2 stars. only redeemed bc the people behind the bar were friendly). This guy was incredibly snarky, and I had to bite my tongue on several occasions bc I wanted to tell him off. my blood is boiling just thinking of it. Unless he’s the owner or something, he should probably be removed from any service job.

This place is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants. This SMALL cozy place is very intimate with an open kitchen. Servers are always accessible and very friendly. There will be a wait, but it is worth it. They have a menu that changes every few weeks. Each list of pizzas has something for everyone. Each pizza that I’ve ordered has been just incredible. Flavors that have not been put together, definitely not on a pizza are presented to you and every time, they give me a new reason to wake up in the morning. Each flavor has its own place and works its way around your mouth in a way I’ve not consistently found. It all starts with the crust which is thin, crunchy, and lightly salted. It is a great vehicle to transport deliciousness into your mouth. If you like food, do yourself a favor and wait in line here to get their pizza.

I ate at Pizzetta 211 with my friend this afternoon after her meticulous Unilocaling! We ordered the farm egg, amatriciana sauce, guanciale, smoked scamorza, and basil pizza($ 17.50) to share and received after around 15 minutes. We were excited for those farm eggs and they did not disappoint! One of the eggs was more cooked than the other. This might be on purpose however, because all of the other pictures of the farm egg pizzas have the two eggs cooked differently. As for the actual pizza, it was very good! The sauce was a little spicy and the guanciale(italian meat/salami from pork cheek) was very flavorful… when we could find it. Unfortunately we felt like we barely got any meat, so that was a pretty big disappointment. I did like the thin and crispy crust though. The place is small so definitely try to come earlier or at least not during peak hours. It can probably only fit around 15 people at most. The price point is higher than your typical pizza, especially for a more personal size(10 inches). My stomach was content after eating half, but I could probably eat my own. I’ve heard good things about the rosemary and pine nuts pizza, maybe next time!

I came by a few weeks ago. The pictures of the pizza here convinced me, especially the farm egg pizza. They change up the menu every few weeks. The pizzas itself were delicious and the focus was more so on the ingredients then just the cheese. If you want a darn good pizza with darn good ingredients this is the place. It’s quite small inside, but fortunately it doesn’t feel warm or stuffy by the ovens. I docked a few stars because our waiter was rude and probably shouldn’t perform a job that involves interacting with people. He said something rude to me and I overheard him say a snark comment to a couple at the table next to us. Anyway, good pizza!

Phew, finally finally tried this little«hidden treasure» for a date night last night(Wednesday). Called beforehand around 7pm to take a chance and see if there was a wait, luckily there wasn’t! But, beware, they seem very serious about not seating people without their full party there. Although understandable, the waiter that night seemed to say it pretty aggressively to everyone that walked through the door. A «hello!» first would have been nice. Cheese salad was yummy — we had one with goat and sheep milk, didn’t like how the olives were served in a bowl on the plate tipped over everything(not sure if this is normal?). Pizzas were great. My margarita was literally out of this world yummy. My date had the one with curry, potatoes etc. and we both thought the margarita was way better. Pretty pricey menu but you get what you pay for, this isn’t Domino’s! One star off because I felt that the server was a bit distant and pretentious. Guy with dark black glasses. He barely knew how to correctly explain the cheese to us, and we felt he had a rude-ish air to him. On top of this, keeping the door open on cold SF nights makes it pretty chilly inside, I would have like a more warm and cozy vibe. Lastly, WINEGLASSES. Why why why whyyyyy do you use water glasses for the wine?! Tacky.

There’s sure to be a wait for a table at this microscopic pizza joint, but order a glass of vino and perch outside on the footpath while you wait for your name to be called. It will be worth the wait I assure you. The menu is simple, seasonal and enticing. Point wildly at a selection of goodies and share amongst your friends. Everything is made with care and beautifully presented, wine served in tumblers and the vibe perfectly relaxed and a little ramshackle. My idea of the perfect pizza venue.

Pizzetta 211 has the best thin crust gourmet pizza. They change their specials every other week. Some of the regulars are the Margherita pizza and the Tomato Sauce with Mascarpone & Wild Arugula pizza which both sound like great go-to’s. Wine and cheese night? They have what you want too! Good selection of wine, beers, and even a cheese board! — — — — — — — — — — — — — - – Specials /What I’ve tried – — Farm egg with prosciutto, dijon mustard, gruyère cheese pizza: The dijon mustard is faint and there were two farm eggs cooked over easy. We popped the yolk over the rest of the pizza slices. — Piadine, tomatoes, bacon pizza: Imagine freshly roasted garlic, spread onto Italian flatbread with a parmesan bacon salad on top. This was my favorite. —(Daily Starter) Salad with avocado, almonds, green goddess dressing: Simple. The dressing and the almonds worked very well together! —(Dessert) Panna Cotta: What seemed to be vanilla bean panna cotta came with raspberry and blueberry compote. Our other options were the semolina cake with roasted peaches and the flourless chocolate cake. — — — — — — — — — — — — — - Either arrive early or late to get a table quickly. But be forewarned, they could run out of dough. On a Monday night at 7:50PM, we got seated outside within five minutes. Sitting outside might sound awful in the Richmond but it wasn’t too bad because there were heaters right above the tables! This is a great spot for a date night, a girl’s night out, or a philosophical dinner with friends(it has that Berkeley vibe).

This place had been on my list for a long time, so I finally decided to check it out. Some of these 4+ star places in the boondocks had underwhelmed so it was time to see if it was legit. And it was. We had two pizzas: the San Marzano Tomato Sauce, Mascarpone, Wild Arugula, Olio Verde and the Quattro Formaggi, Slow Roasted Tomatoes, Prosciutto, Garlic. Both were excellent, the roasted tomatoes were incredible and the mascarpone was just heavenly. Their salads were just so-so. What stopped it short of being epic was the service, both on the phone and in person. Learn how to smile and be a bit more cherry, guys, you’re making pizzas, life is good!

I almost feel guilty writing a review, because I don’t want to tell anybody about this place. I wanted it to be all mine. ;) I’m not sure if I would call it a hidden gem, because obviously a lot of people know about it, but it definitely has the feel of a discrete restaurant that nobody should know about — and it’s awesome. It is located in a neighborhood, doesn’t have any signs that mark where it is, and it is very, very small. I went to here with my family and we ordered two pizzas and a salad. We dined alfresco and really enjoyed our evening with good food on a quiet neighborhood street. Everything we had on the menu was awesome. The pizzas were delicious. We got a plain cheese pizza and the bacon potato pizza. The crust is perfectly done. The entire product was very tasty. A little warning, the pizzas are not very big and it’s relatively expensive, $ 15-$ 20 per pizza. We had to eat again later that night because we were hungry. Another warning is that the seating is very limited and you won’t want to get there with your full party or you cannot be seated. The service was very good. There was one waitress for the entire restaurant and had no problems.

A cute, tiny pizza shop! When I say tiny, I mean TINY, pizza shop with its tables squished together. The place gives off a chill, relaxing vibe and the servers are friendly. I’ve only been here two times and was lucky enough to not have to wait — both times on a weeknight, early evening(around 6PM — 7PM). There’s some seating inside(around 4 tables), bar stools, and a few tables outside. The restaurant has a small menu, but I believe the pizza choices change seasonally. Pizzas are thin crust, six slices, and fresh! The flavors aren’t heavy or overwhelmed with sauce. I’d say that one pizza would be good enough per person. My boyfriend and I shared two different kinds of pizzas and our stomachs were content afterward. I highly recommend trying the Farm Egg Pizza!

This place and pizza hacker are my fave pizza spots. Sooooo good. Pizzetta has overall better, more inventive flavors. However, the crust is almost cracker thin(whereas pizza hacker has a traditional Neapolitan wood fired crust that’s bubbly, yet thin with a little spring). We had a Brussel sprout pizza that was divine and another pizza that had spicy sausage and a sort of chimichurri sauce. We almost considered getting a third pizza, we loved everything so much. For dessert, we got an olive oil cake with huckleberries and whipped cream. The portions were generous — even the huckleberries(which aren’t cheap at all). The place is super cute, but tiny. I loved the atmosphere. We came late, relatively close to closing time. I was somewhat worried they wouldn’t take us, but they did so gracefully. They were full upon our arrival, but we found a spot at the bar. Lastly, this place is cooperatively owned. The servers all have a stake, so they care about the product and the service. Can’t wait to come back!

We stumbled upon this cozy pizza joint and we have no regrets. I called beforehand and the woman told me that it would’ve been a 30 minute wait. We rushed over and put our name down and we became 4th on the list. The host was really nice and offered us the menu and drink options. I ordered an IPA and it was smooth and bold with a tang. We enjoyed our drinks outside on the seating that was provided around the tree, where we gazed at the tree lighting and waited. We were seated at the bar in less than 30 minutes and had front row seats to see how the pizzas were made. It was amazing that they make the pizzas then and there as you order them. We started with a cauliflower salad, and had the Farm Egg pizza, and Hen of the Woods Mushroom pizza. I enjoyed the texture and nuts from the cauliflower salad but the dressing was thick and strong. The Farm Egg pizza had 2 eggs cracked on top and I thought that was an interesting touch but it was surprisingly bland to me. There wasn’t a «wow» factor. But the Mushroom pizza… WHOA. This one definitely made our eyes wide. There were a perfect amount of mushrooms on top of the thin slice pizza, that every bite just tasted like mushroom heaven. The cheese was a good glue for the combination and I could not have been happier. The atmosphere is small and very romantic, although there weren’t many couples that came by. The service is really friendly and attentive if you wanted their attention. They are a small joint and they work really fast and hard for people to be seated and for people to get their to-go orders tentatively. I was really happy with my experience and will definitely return again.

The roommate isn’t a fan of frou frou pizzas. He’d rather have a good Round Table pie versus an artisan pie from some fancy pizza place. Me? I can get down with a good slice of Round Table, but I do love artisan pizzas as well. Arugula on top? Yes please! Farm egg too? Give it to me! Finally in August 2013, the roommate agreed to try Pizzetta 211. We got take out. *San marzano tomato sauce, mascarpone, wild arugula, olio verde($ 14.95) I love pies with arugula on top so I couldn’t resist ordering this. The crust was nice and thin. The sauce showcased the sweetness of the tomatoes and contrasted the mascarpone well. A great simple pizza! *Farm egg, bacon, early girl tomato, collard green, gruyère($ 15.95) Another thing I can’t resist?! Topping a pizza with egg! The egg added a nice creaminess to the bacon, greens and gruyère cheese. And the slight sweetness and acidity from the tomato cut into the richness well. Yum! I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to order when looking through all the pizzas. I really wanted to order like 3 or 4 different ones, but I restrained myself. Glad Pizzetta 211 is so close to home. I can drop by again to try more pizzas!
