Pump It Up

My daughter celebrated her birthday here yesterday… I talked to Jenny days before her birthday and said that i need to pay $ 15 per tray of food from the outside, but when i arrived yesterday they charged me $ 15 for the first food tray and $ 25 for next tray. Well i hope that they told me earlier about that… Well it will be much more entertaining if they will hire energetic party host that will make every party extra special. The party yesterday was boring because the host is so silent and she barely smile too. My daughters party is not yet over but they already remove her gifts in her gift box… We know that our party is only 2 hours but i hope not to rush the party even they know we still have plenty of time. my daughter enjoyed even lots of disappointments, she even wants to come back soon, maybe the only problem here is their staffs.

False advertisement on their face book no pop n play sessions on Thursday from 5:30 –7:00 pm.

We have what’s called a «Bounce U» where we’re from and so when we discovered that San Francisco had a Pump It Up we couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. However, they’re just not the same experience.
I don’t think that Pump It Up is in the right location. I mean, it’s easy to get to, but because it’s hidden, I assume, that’s why nobody is ever there. It’s either that, or their Open Bounce times aren’t convenient for other parents. Any time we’ve ever gone we’re always the first there and maybe one or two other families will show up, but it’s never really busy. It’s nice having the bounce equipment all to yourself, but I take the kiddies there so they can play with other children in addition to me.
I like the price for Open Bounce. Totally affordable. The rooms are rather small though, and there aren’t too many different bounce houses to enjoy. Both rooms only have 3 bounce houses each, but the second one includes two extra play areas. One is for pretend play and the other is aimed more towards soccer and getting the balls into the goal holes.
Bounce U was, overall, a far better experience every time we went than Pump It Up is now.

Children love to play here. We’ve been many times for birthday parties and also the 1.5 hours of jump time during non-​birthday parties. They have fun and always want to go back again soon after we leave.

The first time I was here was for my nieces 5^th birthday a few years ago. My daughter was two then and she had fun!
I just threw my daughters 5^th birthday here, this Saturday! She absolutely loved it. The older folks in my family loved it too! I had my uncles and aunties in the jump houses having almost more fun then there kids! There are water fountains in each room, which is great so you’ll be able to have a drink of water in case you forget to bring you own or because the eating and drink part isn’t till the end. There’s three rooms. Two jumper rooms and one where you eat! The two jumper rooms were great, the kids and adults were able to put all their shoes and belongings in a cart that the staff moved around for you! So you never have to worry about it till you’re about to go eat! But let’s start from the beginning. First off, when I booked the party I asked them if I could pay in full (because of personal reasons) and even though it against policy they still were able to accommodated me. Secondly, they ask you to ask all of your guest to be there 15 mins early. So they can sign waivers and watch a safety video. We got there earlier then you hat because we had stuff to bring in. We walked in, they gave us a cart to bring outside so we can make fewer in and outs! After that they LITERALLY took care of everything after that. My daughter had a glow party so when we went into the jump rooms they were all dark covered with back lights. They also give out glow necklaces for the kids! I asked them, to please let me in the food room so I could fit it the way I wanted when it was clear. And they were totally okay with that. Mid way through or second room they came to get me and as I walked in, all I see was this great set up. It was perfect. They set up the cupcake holders and everything. It’s like they read my mind! After it all, they CLEANED IT ALL UP AND HAD IT PACKED IN THE CART! It was like a dream. My daughter loved it. And I got so many compliments from the guest I invited saying it was a great party.
I know everything they did was their job, but costumer services really lacks now and days. But the workers here I very wonderful. I wish I had there names to put on here. But they know who worked for my daughter Saturday. I just wanted to thank you all!
++Another note, they have a basket that has your kids name on it for gifts! So you and your guest literally don’t have to worry about anything!

I can’t count how many times I’ve been here to this location of Pump It Up since a lot of my godkids love to run around like chicken with their heads cut off going up and down those inflatable rubber contraptions. Usually as the token adult, I just sit in the bench area and watch the hijinks and craziness from a distance. They’ve had the same equipment over the past few years or so but recently they have upgraded one of the rooms with new stuff. They now have a foam building blocks area where they can build stuff together or what I saw that day… they hit each other with them for fun.
I would have thought that if they got new equipment, then that the old rubber smell from before would be gone. But that smell was still there and maybe it’s the carpet that was emitting that odor?
The staff are relatively nice in terms of helping parents deal with the logistics of moving and herding the kids to the party rooms after a certain amount of time. They also have carts for you to wheel to your car after the party for all of those gift bags and gifts.

i have done business with this location before and the first time it was wonderful!!! this time i didnt even have a chance for my children’s party to come up before having issues… i called today (02−06−15) to cancel the party and had issues because the girl on the phone (jenny) didnt know the cancellation policy, she tried to tell me something totally different from what was in clear black and white. She tried to tell me the reservation fee was non-​refundable… NO WHERE IN MY CONTRACT DOES IT SAY THAT IT IS NON-​REFUNDABLE… After i told her that she was wrong, She then told me that she needed to contact her manager to get clear information about the cancellation policy and when she called me back she said that he/​she (shahab or whatever his/​her name is) told her, he/​she would make en exception this time. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM, Jenny clearly doesnt know the cancellation policy (she tried to read it to me) and Shahab is trying to get over or something because he/​she isnt following the policy… smh… if i could give this place no stars i would… THEY BOTH NEED TO BE RETRAINED ABOUT THE INFORMATION FOR THIS PLACE!!!

I booked a party here for my daughter’s fourth birthday. She requested some sort of inflatable/​bouncy house, and after last year’s experience of a cold, DIY bouncy house party in Golden Gate park, I thought an indoor party was the way to go.
My daughter and her friends had a great time. I can’t knock off any stars for that — it’s a fun, kid-​friendly place and an easy place to have a party, since entertainment and food is combined into one. However, as a parent and the party planner, I didn’t have the best experience, and here is why:
1) I totally understand their policy on outside food and drink (a flat $ 100 fee, or $ 25 per «tray» if you’re only bringing a few items; packaged snacks, water and cake are excluded from the fee). However, there is NOTHING about this fee in their party FAQs, or in any part of the party booking process. I read everything at length before booking, and finished the process thinking I could bring in my own food. It wasn’t until a week later, when I called to ask why I never received an event confirmation, that I asked about outside food and was told I couldn’t do it without the fee. Their selection of food is fine — and again, I get why they charge for anything else — but why not make this 100% clear during booking?
2) The staff, with the exception of one person, seemed totally disinterested in both my business and our happiness. When I called about the above situation, the person on the phone didn’t seem to care that the policy is not obvious on their website. She suggested I send an email through the website, which I did — twice — with no response. On the day of the party, the front desk staff and staff in our play rooms seemed bored and disinterested. The one exception to this was our party attendant, Jesse, who was both personable and hardworking. I ensured the gratuity I left that day went directly to him.
All in all, my daughter and her friends were happy, and it was easier than schlepping our own bouncy house to a park. But for the price you pay for a party here, I expected much better service.

I reached out to the general manager of this location to tell him about my experience and suggest a change in the outside food policy and training of staff. He was very reasonable and considerate and was able to resolve my issues in a timely manner.
Because of the professional way that he handled my complaint, I would host another party at Pump it Up in the future (if I can bring reasonable outside food like veggies/​fruit).

Came here for bday party and have been here before without incident. This time, my daughter fell backwards at the top of the stairs (only 2 – 3 feet) to the basketball jumpy house. No one saw her fall but everyone heard her head crack. Rushed her to the ER, CT scan, 5 hours later… major concussion but no major bleeding/​fracture thank god. I went over to see why here head would have «cracked» at an inside place with a rug… and figured out that the floor is CEMENT with a thin rug. Really?! Kids are flying out of those things all of the time… you would think they would have the decency to put rubber flooring or at the very least a little padding outside of each of the entrances. Shame.

As long as my kids are having fun then I’m having fun. We come here for occasional bday parties and drop in play time. It’s great! Kids start off in one room bounce and go nuts and before they get bored they’re shuffled off to another room and bounce some more. After the second bounce room the kids have lunch and parties done. Parties generally last a total of 2 hours and it’s over. Quick and simple.
Staff are nice and attentive. The place doesn’t feel icky and no chances the kids are running off getting lost.

came here for my nieces birthday party, it was great, very clean, they offer hand sanitizer, the staff that assist for parties are very helpfull and nice. Pizza was meh, but its worth having a party here, very hassle free.

it’s a great place for children to run around and jump on things. All jump houses get wiped down very frequently and the staff is very friendly. This is a great way for a child to exhaust all their energy. aka, a great way to have the night to relax.

been here a few times once was for my nephews 4^th birthday! its perfect for birthday partys! keeps the kids busy and having lots of fun! i’ll even go down the slides and threw the mazes!
The pizza is OK. the kids like it though

Only $ 5 for GGMG members on the first Fri of the month (pop-​in play time)!
Clean and organized, sweet and helpful staff.
Expensive for birthday parties but they do everything for you (incld food and cake) and the kids love it.

Great place for over-​aggressive kids who need a «safe» place to act out their anger on the younger set. Excellent place for bullies! Lord of the Flies fans, unite!
Beware anyone who has children who pay attention to rules and take turns.
The employees don’t enforce the rules. What’s the point of them being there?

Once upon a Saturday,
we took our little girl to go play
at a kid party at Pump It Up
and to our surprise, it kinda rocked.
At first, I was afraid that’d she’d be too young
to enjoy the jumpers but I was wrong.
Adult can play if they choose
so with that option how could this daddy lose?
My tiny toddler and I went for a ride
down this wicked big jumper slide.
And can you believe that when little one got tired,
Mom still let Dad continuing playing for awhile?
The food was meh, but who really cares?
You know it’s really about the atmosphere.
At the end, we had good fun
as evident by the smiles of both adults and children.

Pump it up– a cool place for kids of all ages!
Enjoy an easy (on you, as a parent) two-​hour fun-​filled birthday party for your child at Pump It Up. and why?
Well, you have up to 40 minutes of fun in 3 different rooms of:
*jumpy, bouncy fun
*rock climbing structure
*small/​big slides
*soccer area
*basketball area
*air hockey
Perks:
*adults can join in on the jumpy fun, too
*they take care of everything, especially the clean up
*customizable package (ie opt to have food, cake, drinks, & party bags included)
*a big «royal» chair is available for the birthday kid
*a big bottle of hand sanitizer is available– a drop-​dead serious must, especially when kids are involved
Tips:
*socks must be worn
*other locations available (ie belmont, fremont, etc.)
*cheaper if parties are held during the weekdays or weekends after 5:30pm
Bottom line: great place to have your kid’s next birthday party!

I celebrated my 30^th birthday at Pump It Up and it was the freaking awesomest night everrrrrr!!!
It was a group of us older folks pretending to be kids again and we squeezed the life out of that hour and a half.
The staff at Pump It Up was really nice and helpful through the reservation process and the price was very reasonable as well. We got a private bouncing room starting at 7pm (nice to know they are open at night), and we bounced and laughed our asses off until we were ready to collapse.
I would HIGHLY recommend this place!!!

This place rocks! I went here for my friend’s kid’s 4^th birthday and had a blast.
The system is truly genius: rent out a warehouse space, paint it brightly, section off rooms with bouncy houses, shuttle parties through conveyor belt style and tada… brilliant business idea.
The kids all seemed to have a blast as did the adults as we were also able to run, bounce and leap around. Great workout too, btw (especially if you’re chasing around a 2 year old).
I do wish that they allow you to bring your own food/treats…but the pizza party they put on was good… yummy cookies & loved the special chair for the birthday kid.
