Can’t go wrong with Barbara. She is sweet, loving, and our pup absolutely loves her time with her. She’s flexible with our schedules and able to board when we need it. I can’t recommend her more strongly.

I’m surprised there aren’t more five star reviews for Barbara and Puppy Pause– she clearly has a number of very happy clients. Let me speak for many of us when I say that Barbara has significantly increased our quality of life. I went through two dog walkers and some very bad experiences before finding her– and I was nearly at the point of not knowing what to do. Those of us with furry loved ones know the effect that worrying about them (or the caretaker who now has keys to your apartment) can have on a day out. I am so grateful for the comfort that I feel having Barbara in our lives. When we’ve run into her and her other dog groups, my dog zig-​zag runs and jumps for joy. And the times that I’ve stayed home during the week I’m almost jealous about the way she waits by the door for Barbara to pick her up. Out on the town I have strangers saying hello to my dog by name, as if she has this active social life while I’m at work. Then she’s exhausted and sometimes doesn’t even want to go out again when I get home. What a wonderful relief! Thank you, Barbara!

I have known Barbara for a very long time. She is amazing with all animals. She has a huge heart and love for critters. My pets are my kids and Barbara is the only person I would let care for them. Our dog Lambchop is a rescue: we’ve had him for about a year now (he’s almost 2), and I honestly don’t know what we’d do without Barbara. Lambchop is quite shy/​scared around new people, but barbara handles him so well. She reinforces the training we get in obedience school, and she is so in tune with his needs that she often knows he’s sick or has other obedience issues before we do.
We’ve boarded Lambchop with Barbara for both weekends and vacations: and I think Barbara is the only person we’d feel comfortable leaving him with.
We’re thinking about moving to a new apartment now, but because we (and Lambchop) love Barbara so much — we are looking at apartments exclusively in her dog-​walking areas.
We can’t say enough great things about Barbara.

Barbara has walked my dog Jack since he was 12 weeks old. He is now almost 13. She does a great job, and Jack loves her. I frequently have to go out of town on business, and Barbra is great about having Jack stay with her at her house with her pets. Barbra has useful advice on vet recommendations, pet foods, and dental care. She is very honest about what works and doesn’t work and has a lot of experience to share.

Our dog Chauncey is very picky when it comes to humans. He LOVES Barbara. Every time he sees her, he runs up and launches himself up for affection. I know, I know jumping up to greet people is not the best behavior for a dog, but Chauncey is only 12 lbs and its great to know he loves Barbara so much. There are only 3 people in the world he greets like that: me, my wife, and Barbara. She is a reliable, friendly, trustworthy walker. She has been in this business much longer than most other walkers. For professionalism and experience she can’t be beat! Plus, dogs love her. I would recommend her service to anyone.

Barbara has been our dog walker since our Boston Terrier was just a puppy. She’s amazing with dogs and kids :) Completely professional, trustworthy, warm and loving. She watches our dog now when we go on vacation back east. It’s like he has his own special doggie B&B. He loves her!

My little dog loves Barbara. Barbara knows a lot about animals (both cats and dogs) and is a wonderful wealth of information for vet recommendations, etc. She detected that my pug had a bladder infection before I was able to detect it. She is very trustworthy and takes special care of the animals if they need different handling because of their age or any medical issues. My dog, for instance, had a neck issue and needed to stay crated when I went away … other dog walkers might have said they couldn’t take her overnight but this wasn’t a problem for Barbara. She came recommended to me by my neighbors who have used her for years and like me are very picky about who they let into their home and take care of their animals.
