Ready to Rescue

Do NOT use this company to get your certifications. Ryan owes me $ 69 for a course that never happened. And like so many others, he didn’t tell me the class wasn’t going to happen, and I took time off of work to rush across town in the middle of rush hour traffic. I had to hurry and get signed up with another company, since my BLS certification had expired, thanks to not being able to take the class.
Ryan used to be really reliable, but now he is a big flake. I would take him to small claims court, but it would ultimately cost me more than the $ 69 he stole from me. Maybe we should all band together and take him to court as one unit, since he seems to have done this to multiple people.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
I had used them 2 years ago to renew my BLS and had a good experience. It is now time to renew and I contacted Ryan who sent me the schedule. The soonest class was in SF. I signed up and drove from Santa Clara to SF to find the class was not even scheduled at the location stated. There was no phone number to contact anyone.
I was particularly annoyed as I have a newborn and had to make arrangements to have my husband watch the baby and drive to SF. I emailed Ryan about the non existent class and he replied with no explanation and suggested other organizations in San Jose that I could contact for my BLS. He refused to reimburse me for the online course that I paid for that was required for his course as the funds had gone to AHA, although I did not even need this class for the new course I enrolled in.
He did say RTR would reimburse what I paid for the skills portion. I have yet to receive any reimbursement.
Ryan is very unprofessional and irresponsible. There are other reviewers who stated they never received a refund from his as well. DO NOT USE Ryan or his company.

I had to renew my CPR card, I signed up online and then less than 24 hrs before the class, they left me a message saying the class was rescheduled for 3 days later. I had to call them and after many messages left I was able to pick a class that fitted my schedule.
Ryan was not in for some reason, so another instructor came. He was nice and knew the contents, but he was 15 min late to the class and kept checking his text messages. He stood at the corner of the table and placed his phone between the mannequin and him, so he could keep looking. I could hear the thing vibrate every time. He got quite a few text messages.
In addition, we did not have an opportunity to practice on the mannequins. He finished, packed his things up, asked if we had questions, and left. I didn’t say anything, at that point I was so annoyed I just wanted to get out of there, get my money back, etc. Then didn’t do anything. Took my card and ran. I have gotten the training I need in school, though, but I would never attempt to take any courses from them.

I signed up for a class, payed, and then quickly cancelled because I was mistaken about the dates. Ready to Rescue was unable to reschedule me before my PALS certification cancelled. They never reimbursed me for the class, despite several emails regarding the reimbursement. I even spoke to them on the phone. In retrospect, I think that Ryan, the guy communicating with me, was a liar and a fraud. I would never suggest this business to anyone. Not a soul.

The address does not exist and cannot find a location for this company if you need any adminstrative issues.
I needed a CPR card because mine was about to expire and took the class and the contractor indicated that I would get the card within 2 to 3 days. At SFPA and other locations you will get a CPR card issued to you immediately. Not this company, Ryan was on vacation and could not get in touch with anyone from the company even though his auto response indicated so. I missed two days of work and when Ryan indicated I would get my CPR card by Friday I did not get until late Monday.
This company is irresponsible and negligent. Go to an organized location.

I have attended a few classes for CPR. This group of instructors are knowledgeable and keep the class moving without getting boring. No death by power point. Hands on classes and up to date equipment.

I had a kind of weird, but ultimately good experience with RTR. I needed to take a CPR course on short notice, and signed up for one of their courses in San Francisco. From what I can tell, RTR is based in southern CA (Irvine) but organize ad hoc courses in northern CA as well.
The course I originally signed up for was cancelled because of lack of students and I was offered a spot in a course the following week at the same time. I was kind of annoyed, but needed to take the course and Ryan at RTR assured me the course would happen. A day before the course, I was told that the location had moved to San Mateo. Again, I was annoyed, but it worked out so I didn’t make a big deal about it. When I got there, it turned out that I was the only student. I had two instructors, and a very personal CPR training. Because it was just me, it was also quicker than it would have been with a bunch of people. Basically, I watched the American Heart Association video and then practiced on dummies and asked questions. The card was going to take a week or two to get to me, so I emailed Ryan to see if I could get something from him via email to show I was certified. He responded immediately, and within a few hours I had a scan of my card and a certificate of completion.
Ryan’s quick and attentive response turned what would have been mostly an annoying experience to a positive one.
