I have been going to see Rebecca every week for the past year. It all started with a Groupon that gave me the opportunity to check acupuncture off my bucket list… Little did I know how addictive it can be!
Rebecca’s treatments have, at times, been the only thing keeping me going when things get stressful. Half the benefit of the treatment is the talking portion, in which she allows me to vent and unload a week’s worth of stress before taking my pulses and checking my tongue. But then of course the actual treatment is always heavenly, just exactly the nap I need. Every week I come out feeling deeply rejuvenated and much more rested than I did going in.
The price of treatments can add up but Rebecca offers a sliding scale and student price point. I personally don’t mind the cost because: 1) it’s in her home — so comfy 2) the wonders of acupuncture are simply priceless 3) extras like food suggestions, workshops, explanations of points, etc. 4) non one else can erase stress for me like Rebecca can.
Depression, women’s health issues, physical pain, general exhaustion represent part of the slew of issues I’ve brought to the table. Rebecca helped me through all of them with love and attention. I’m grateful to have her in my life each week. Highly recommend.

This is the story of how my acupuncturist accused me of stealing her iPhone…
Soooo, this was my first acupuncture treatment. I had purchased this groupon earlier this year and bought one for my girlfriend also, because I thought it would be a fun, new experience. Hahaha, definitely an experience.
I thought this treatment couldn’t have come at a better time because I had been battling bronchitis for almost a month! I was exhausted and just ready to feel better. So I made an appointment for me and my girlfriend and we drove up to San Francisco from south bay. My appointment was first, so we did an intake. Rebecca was really nice. In response to one of my answers she even shared that she hates drama and does everything in her power to avoid it, I believed her. We go through the treatment and it’s fine. It’s actually what I would expect. And then it’s finished, awesome, it’s my girls turn.
So we all meet in Rebecca’s living room (she practices out of her home) to touch base and they go into the treatment room and I sit around for a bit petting her pooch before I get bored and leave. Go get some tea and as I’m walking back to our car Rebecca comes out of her apartment and stops me and tells me her cell phone is missing, that it was on the coffee table and that she really needs it back. She suggested maybe I had thought it was mine and taken it. Of course I didn’t! I took inventory of the few items I took in and out of her house. She was very accusatory though, insisting that she really needs her phone and told me she didn’t want to get anyone else involved (was that a threat?!). She asked me to go through my car and my lunch box (items that I did not even have in her house)! And I should have been pissed off! How dare she accuse me?! And isn’t she suppose to be working on my girlfriend right now?!
To make her feel better I cleaned out my car (I wish I wouldn’t have indulged her, I knew the phone had to be somewhere in her house). And she wouldn’t even buzz me back into her apartment. I asked her if she really thought I took it and she said she didn’t know. I was very apologetic and asked her to email me WHEN she found it. She said she would IF she found it, and that she would help me find another acupuncturist. The nerve!
So I walked away, crying! I felt humiliated and wondered why this was happening! I cried until my girl came out and asked if our acupuncturist had just accused us of stealing her iPhone. Yes! She was just laughing about how ridiculous this was. Meanwhile I was taking it to heart! So we drive away and about a minute later rebecca calls me from her phone and tells me she found it. Duh.
When I go somewhere to get something as powerful as energy work done, I expect my practitioner to be somewhat emotionally stable and in balance. I will definitely get acupuncture again. I could never recommend this acupuncturist though.

Excellent clinician. Rebecca is extremely thorough in her initial assessment as well as for each follow up visit. She is very knowledgeable, skilled, and holistic in her approach. I went to Rebecca before a major surgery to get my body prepared as well as after surgery to expedite healing & manage pain. My recovery was much faster than expected, and I believe that the acupuncture, diet, and other recommendations from Rebecca contributed greatly. I’ve also had good results from her treatments for other health issues as well.
Rebecca is very calm, patient, gentle, and compassionate… a true healer all-​around.
(a gentle warning: Rebecca’s approach to acupuncture is very traditional & effective. She does manipulate the needles at times to achieve a greater effect, therefore I initially feel more intense sensation or pain from the needles as compared to other acupuncturists I’ve been to. I think it’s worth it, though.)

I recently entered her office feeling physically exhausted; after acupuncture treatment and moxa, I felt refreshed. I remarked that I could feel immediate results from her work and decided to schedule more appointments. She is wonderful — attentive, caring, respectful and kind.
I also had a massage several months ago from Rebecca during my pregnancy. The massage felt wonderful and I slept so much better afterwards.

I went to Rebecca after suffering from a month of colds and a stomach flu. I was just tired and congested and pretty drained. Her treatment is so relaxing and I could feel the energy moving and my life force returning!
A few days later and my lungs are back to normal. Her knowledge, her gentle yet direct approach, and her listening skills make her a superb acupuncturist.

Rebecca’s work calmed and soothed me when I was experiencing stress and hormonal imbalance. Her patience, depth of Chinese medicine, and deep concern for me helped me feel at ease. She was willing to spend as much time as needed to make sure all my questions were answered. I felt like the best possible care had been given to me!

A friend recommended Rebecca to me when I was having server back pain. I was hesitant at first to see an acupuncturist due to my lack of understanding of the Chinese Medicine but decided that I would try anything to alleviate the pain I was in. After my initial consultation and treatment, I left with no back pain. None. I have also not had any reoccurring pain.
Because my initial consultation was such a success I have continued treatment with Rebecca for chronic health issues that I have not been able to manage alone or with other health care providers. Among this list: chronic digestive issues, anxiety, alleviating PMS/​menstrual craps, physical numbness occurring in my foot, joint pain, restless sleep and brain fog. I always leave feeling re-​energized, calm and pain-​free.
Rebecca is an extremely skilled acupuncturist. I am always amazed by her thorough evaluation and how she is able to get to the root of the cause. In addition, she incorporates manageable nutrition and lifestyle tools/​suggestions that help to assist with optimizing my treatments.
I look forward to every treatment with Rebecca. Like majority of people, I can put my health on hold for work, family, friends etc. but I know for the hour that I am at Rebecca’s office I can refocus my health goals and needs. Most importantly I know that while I am there I am Rebecca’s focus.

Rebecca introduced me to the world of Chinese medicine and made me a believer! I look forward to my weekly treatments with her, not only to make me feel completely relaxed, but to also help keep me healthy and strong. To name a few, Rebecca has helped me with: allergies, weight loss, sleep and digestive issues and regulating my menstrual cycle. She is very knowledgable in how to lead a healthy lifestyle and has many tools besides the actual acupuncture, like moxa, massage and nutrition, to help me achieve my health goals. For anyone hesitant to try Eastern medicine and acupuncture, Rebecca is the practitioner that I recommend.

With such a vast knowledge of Chinese medicine and massage, Rebecca has impressed me time and again with her skills. Not only is she a compassionate listener, she also has an intelligence and curiosity that makes her an exemplary LAc/​CMT. I’ve gone to her for a variety of issues, including insomnia and back pain, and every time I leave her office, I feel calm, pain-​free and well-​cared for.

She has a wonderful and comprehensive approach to Chinese medicine. It’s clear that she’s had done a lot of extra work beyond school, turns out she has when I asked her about it, because she has more tools than most LAc’s. Another plus is she’s takes a long history and give your ways that you can shift things at home to improve your health.
