Terrible attitudes and nasty customer service! Idk where these a-​holes learned their skills, but they’re lacking, big time, in the customer satisfaction area. They’re only appliance techs– not gods!
If you like being scoffed at and talked down to, call them up. Personally, I prefer good attitudes with a good bit of wisdom sharing. It’s just humane to be decent to your customers and not hang up on them when they have more than one question! Thumbs WAY, WAY down!

Rude staff. Sometimes being nice would cost you nothing. The worst customer service ive been experiencing so far.

Horrible «Customer Service» this morning. Walked in this morning to ask for a replacement knob for my GE Dryer. The guy at the counter simply said, «I need a model number.» Told him I did not have the model number to the dryer and absolutely no offer to assist me with what appeared to be a perfectly working computer in front of him. I went back to work, Googled GE replacement Timer knob and bingo found it. I’d rather pay the shipping than pay for bad service anytime.

update. still haven’t gotten the UPS label even though they promised to send it twice. on hold with the head office in WA now. gives me plenty of time to knock them down a star.

I’m a professional maintenance man, and here’s my quick review. Two stars for being prompt and helpful on the phone with my part inquiry. Then they quoted me over $ 143 plus shipping and tax for a simple range spark module, part # R0703583. I checked online and bought the same exact part in five minutes for $ 47.37 out the door from Appliance Zone. Over three times as much to order a part is ridiculous and just bad business practice. If they carried it in stock maybe a 25% increase for the convenience, but this is just price gouging. No thanks, I won’t be calling again.

I had an excellent experience as a customer here. Positive, friendly, relaxed staff that won’t «oversell» or pressure you to buy anything, they just help you find the parts you need. I was missing the broiler pan (and insert) for our old-​school Magic Chef stove. Not only did Reliable Parts have the items in the Sacramento warehouse, they were able to get them over to their Howard Street store — in just one day. I think a gentleman named Jim took my order, and he quickly confirmed the parts for our stove model. Prices were reasonable. I’ll definitely shop here again, and will suggest this business to my friends. Nice to have this place in SF.

They have some of the parts you need. I paid $ 27 for a small coupler that an out of stock Lowe’s usually sells for $ 4. When looking for some other types of couplers they didn’t even bother to look and just said they didn’t have it. So much for «The House Of A Million Parts».

Need an appliance part? Look no further! I was in/​out of the store in 2 minutes with exact part I needed and nice guys to help.
NOTE TO THOSE WHO THINK THEY’LL BUY HERE FIRST AND THEN RETURN IT WHEN YOUR CHEAPER ONLINE PURCHASE ARRIVES: Please don’t. I was in the store when a guy did. Think about it: my washer broke. Thought I’d have to buy a new washer but found a YT video to fix it myself in minutes. Called multiple places for parts… they only did repairs. This was the only place in SF to find parts. If this place goes out of business b/​c you want to save $ 5, we’ll all have broken appliances as we wait for parts to arrive or pay $ 250 for repair service that we’ll feel stupid about when the part is $ 35 and the repair takes (a girl) 15 min. These guys have to pay for a storefront, you get the part NOW. I’m the first to save a buck and order Amazon Prime, but you’ll be regretting it the day your appliance breaks and remember the $ 5 you «saved».

Wow, what great service. The water hot and cold was barely running out into tub. Disassembled the washer and found the problem Called to see about getting a replacement part and the salesman identified the part and said we really didn’t need but if we wanted it we could order or we could reassemble the washer without it. I will use them even if I need to buy parts. Fast and courteous !

When a plastic thing on your appliance breaks, Sears /​Home Depot et al don’t have the part in stock and want you to order it online with a $ 10+ expediting Fedex charge. Just come here and pick up the part. It’s faster, cheaper, and gets your appliance running the same day.

Stopped in for a lid switch for a washing machine. Great transaction, better price than online, and the guy at the counter was happy to help me troubleshoot my problem.

They have a great website that lists their available inventory. I walked in and before the guy behind the counter even finished reading the part number I wrote down, he was able to identify the exact item I was looking for. He walked into the stock room and emerged seconds later. The entire transaction took less than five minutes.
I called three different places to see if they sold parts, but they only did repairs. One of them was nice enough to refer me to Reliable Parts. I was looking for a Timer Dial on an old Kenmore washing machine. The dial online went for $ 28, but after factoring in shipping and tax it was a better choice to buy it from Reliable Parts ($ 30).

My experience with these guys was great. My fridge was on the fritz. I’d ordered a new timer online, installed that, but the freezer still wasn’t defrosting. Cut to the chase – went in this morning with a part number for a new thermostat. I’d called ahead to make sure they had one in stock. I wanted a second opinion from my online troubleshooting to make sure I was spending $ 35 on the right part. Counter guy was patient listening to symptoms and what I’d done so far. He even asked another guy to confirm his opinion and Guy #2 offered some unsolicited installation tips.
New thermostat is in, the fridge is humming again! Too soon to know if it’s defrosting properly, but that would be a part, not a service issue. Thanks, Reliable!
BTW: Prices are a couple of bucks more than the major online parts places, but I’ll gladly support a local business for a wee bit more.

These guys quickly helped me identify which parts I needed to fix, though I did much of the troubleshooting. They had what I needed in stock and saved me the trouble and cost of a repairman. My fix was somewhat simple, but it was still reassuring to know that the option to fix it myself was available.

I showed up with some part numbers this AM. One part in stock, the next available tomorrow shipped in at no cost to me, and the whole order was cheaper than ordering on the internet. Friendly dude on the cash register to boot.
Yes, it was a pain to look up the part number because whirlpool seems to go to great lengths to hide even the model number from the customer, and even prints numbers on parts that are in no parts list — seemingly chosen at random. However with the power of google, this was easily resolved before heading to Reliable.
They probably choose not to sell parts without numbers because yes, many parts look alike, and are subtly different. Nobody wants to buy your returned bashed up part because you ordered the wrong thing, then spent several hours grunting and busting it up (own up we have all done that) in a futile effort to fit the proverbial round peg in a square hole.
Be glad this cool store exists and you don’t have to order the wrong part 3x on the internet, but can go to a real store, eyeball the part in person and even compare it to your old one if you so choose.

I will write two reviews for this place. This, being my first review, as well as my first time here was incredible. A tenant who moved out broke a drawer and a guard for the refrigerator. I simply called Reliable Parts, gave them my model number, and told them I needed those replacement parts. They said they had the drawer in stock, but would need to special order the guard. They said it would take three days, which I thought was fairly quick.
Three days pass, and they give me a call. They said that my item had arrived and I could pick it up. I went there shortly after, gave them my name, and took a look at the products I had purchased. They were an exact match, and I was happy.

Denny at Tuggy’s Hardware recommended Reliable Parts when the Oven Bake Element died on my 22 year old Caloric electric stove.
After removing the old element, I brought it to Reliable. They tried to match it up in their microfiche system by manufacturer, but no luck. One of their employees found a barely legible part number on the element and sure enough, they had one in stock! At $ 40, it was cheaper, faster and easier than replacing the whole oven! Friendly service, too.
