We offer: A full fitness gym; a wide range of fitness, wellness, and enrichment classes; a jacuzzi and sauna; personalized fitness training; afterschool and camp programs for children and youth; fitness programming for teens; dance and creative movement classes for all ages; senior events and activities; and much more! Come in to see more about what we offer and take a tour.

All of our programs are made as affordable as possible, and we offer financial assistance for those who can not afford them. All of our programs have at their core our four character values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring.

At the Richmond District YMCA, you and your families’ growth matter to us. Make our YMCA your portal to a healthy body, a calm mind, a strong family, and a supportive community.

History

Established in 1922.

The Richmond District YMCA, one of the branches of the YMCA of San Francisco, was founded in May 1922 in a converted Victorian home at 360 18th Ave. It began by offering a few boys clubs and within two years expanded to include a game room, library, two club rooms, and a small gymnasium. Today, we have over 4,000 members and program participants at 6 sites throughout the Richmond District.

Manager

Community. Advocacy. Youth. These three words capture the foundation and the motivating force behind my life and career. Throughout my YMCA career, I have been successful in developing and strengthening community partnerships and expanding programs within the community to a variety of constituents especially in reaching the invisible populations. I bring exceptional volunteer development skills with expertise in fundraising, and community development. On behalf of the YMCA, I am committed to offering quality, diverse programs to the community. Please feel free to let me know how we can enhance your experience at the YMCA and how we can further benefit the Richmond District. We want to be responsive to your needs.
