Business Owner

Irene has been in the insurance industry for 30+ years and has earned the designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). She is also a Real Estate Broker and Notary Public. Prior to insurance, Irene was a physical education teacher and coach at South San Francisco High School. She maintains her involvement in physical education through teaching aqua fitness, volunteering as a master official for long distance running and track and field, and participating as a competitive master runner on the Impala Racing Team. She is Vice President of the Pacific Associate of Track and Field, a non-​profit organization of over 7,000 members. Irene is passionate about promoting fitness in people of all ages.

Erin Eudy was fantastic. I was at the DMV this AM and was made aware that I need a particular type of car insurance to reinstate my license. Frustrated that I might have to extend an already lengthy process even further (including a 2nd trip to the lovely SF DMV), I quickly called Riskguard (found via google maps) and Erin immediately offered to help. She processed my paperwork over the phone, was able to cut the first quote I received in half, and overall, was an outstanding help. Two thumbs up and thanks!

The business still sucks. Finally switched and am much happier. All that information in the response from the business would have been more useful at the time I actually needed it. The settlement was already settled at the time… here’s what happened with the other company (Yellow Cab’s Lincoln Insurance) – they mailed the check to the wrong person at the wrong address and the person in charge went on vacation for a month. They also transferred my case to someone else. When I told Irene Herman’s company, they still were not helpful in helping me get my claim check.

There must be thousands of insurance and real estate agents and sales staff in the Bay Area, but I can’t imagine any can match Irene’s profile. I’m sure most of the competition are polite, professional and efficient. But if you are the type who savors the opportunity to speak with a one of a kind insurance expert, Irene is the bomb. She has been my family’s first and only agent for over 30 years. Like a legal scholar, Irene has accumulated a brain full of insurance and real estate case studies and precedents. She has dealt with all the major insurance carriers, and she easily navigates the legal jargon of insurance to calculate the policies that apply to each client’s unique situation. Irene can field any question and offer advice on any matter by reciting case studies from her own experience. Such in depth knowledge enables her to understand your needs very quickly and offer suggestions or advice using examples that apply to your case. After all these years, Irene’s passion for insurance and real estate has never wavered; she is a total insurance and real estate geek.

I’ve used the Irene Herman Insurance for a few of my insurance needs! They helped me find health insurance when I was down and out and had pre-​existing conditions (before Obamacare came along), and we worked long and hard to find a policy that would work for me. Also, they helped me find a better deal for my home insurance, and they’re there when I need help to look for better car insurance rates. They’re constantly on the look out for me and let me know if I can ever find better rates with another company, so I know they’re on my side.

Who writes Unilocal reviews about their insurance guy? Apparently people who have incredible insurance agents. I have worked with Geoff Herman for about two years now, and have nothing but good things to say about him. He is prompt, efficient, and a great communicator — fast on email and always explains things in a way that I can understand.
I’m a new business owner — started a sole proprietorship and have now grown to an S-​corp — and he has worked with me on literally all of my insurance needs, educating me on what I need and talking me through the pros and cons. He consistently follows through on my open plans and new requests, filing all the paperwork, etc. and I always know he’s working to get me the best deal on my policies.
I have no idea what these negative Unilocal’ers are talking about… I would refer Geoff in a heartbeat!

Just got some quotes from this agency and was very impressed with how they handled my somewhat complex insurance situation — Auto + Renters + Umbrella + Earthquake. I worked with Kelson and he got me quotes from multiple carriers in a very short period of time without having to come into the office/​sit on the phone.
In the end, they weren’t able to come out on top in terms of price — but that’s not something they can control due to the nature of the insurance biz. However, I will definitely keep them on my preferred agency list when I shop my policies around in the near future due to their professional service.

I discovered Irene Herman Insurance via a website (don’t remember which one) to request quotes for w/​c, general and professional liability insurance for my business. I was contacted right away by Geoff Herman.
Geoff was a huge help in helping us obtain the insurance we needed for a contract with the City of LA at a reasonable price. This was no small feat — we knew of a similar business that was having a hard time getting the E & O insurance. (We recommended them to Geoff and he helped them out, too.) Geoff also helped us with changing our medical and dental insurance for our business.
For our personal insurance needs, Geoff helped us obtain life insurance and Iris Htwe assisted us with renters insurance. They are always available to answer questions and they respond very quickly to my emails.
We’ve relied on Irene Herman Insurance Services for a number of different insurance needs over the past year and it has put my mind at ease to have them on my team.
