History
Established in 2012.
While finishing her PhD thesis in Immunology, founder Lori Phillips sought out an ice cream treat to satisfy a late night craving. Disappointed with the options for an ice cream cone made with organic and wholesome ingredients, she put her research skills to work in the kitchen. After several months, she crafted a delicious combination of cone, ice cream, and chocolate dip, in a fun and easy-to-eat taco form. She sought out partners at her local farmers market and within her surrounding community to source ingredients that she trusted. After getting rave reviews from friends, she decided to bring the product to the public. As a dedicated dog owner, she developed a version she could share with her pups and decided to name the business after her «maltichi” — Rocko.
