Scott L Hansen is one of the finest plastic surgeon’s on the globe. He actually travels to dozens of countries teaching a synergistic style of surgery that emphasizes on cooperation and team work between orthopedic and plastic surgeons. Our soft tissue and bones work together, so should the two surgeons. It is where many surgeries go wrong, where one hand doesn’t know what the other does. I am shocked there is not a review of him already. He has one of the best bed side manors of any doctor, even some psychologists. I have an lower limb amputation, and out of 24 doctors(yeah uh talk about too many cooks,) I’d take Hansen over every Stanford, John Muir, Kaiser, CPMC, Sutter, and even Chief UCSF doctors. He is the Chief Plastic Surgeon at SF General, and recently appointed as the CDC’s global expert on infections skin diseases. I am not so sure he does nose jobs — he takes the really tough work of traumatic injuries. I am a worker comp patient and he treated me like a heavily privately insured patient. He took months to work with me to get ready for a surgery. He took the time to listen and learn and carefully decide how to proceed. I have had plenty of complications, and a few let downs, but Scott is always there for me, and never waivers.
