History
Established in 2001.
Joy and distress are universal aspects of life that are deeply influenced by the unseen relationship we each maintain with our self. Our relationship with our self is so fundamental that it influences our decisions, our capacity for and interest in relationships with others, and even the vitality of our moment-to-moment experience. Meanwhile, the relationship we’ve each developed with our self is so deeply ingrained in the way we experience our life that it can be difficult to observe how it influences our emotional experience. For most of us, this difficulty increases when stress or emotional turmoil increase in our life, making it all the more challenging to work through loss, sadness, anxiety, lack of meaning and other normal life phases on our own.
