Quite simply, Ravi saved the day for me. Not only did I look and feel immaculate after some rather extensive alterations to a suit, under a Very critical time crunch ~ All because of my very own procrastination, mind ~ but had also been incredibly helpful and pleasant through the whole ordeal. In time enough to attend my brother’s wedding, Ravi had me looking my best ~ what’s more, it didn’t cost me all of the things! ha This was an incredible experience, I was Very happy with the service, and I will be sure to visit these fine gentlemen any time I have such a need.

Won’t find a better tailor and gentleman than Ravi. The man does amazing work, treats you with respect and goes above and beyond to fix anything you might not be 100% satisfied with. Go get your suit on!

I just picked up my blazer from Seymour’s.
Ravi is very soft spoken, and I felt he was professional, knowledgeable, and kind. He helped me choose between a regular and petite jacket (both bought off the rack elsewhere) and told me the petite fit me better and would need fewer alterations. I appreciate his honesty, as it would have been incredibly simple for him to convince me to buy the regular and pay for the many alterations it would need.
The alterations took one week precisely, and he called to let me know when they were done (so I didn’t need to keep checking, which other tailors have generally made me do). The work is well done and the suit fits well. I appreciate that he remembered my name and even why I needed the blazer (interviews) and when they were. He even told me how to care for the fabric and how to put my blazer in my suit carrier (because I wasn’t sure). Plus, the price was very reasonable.
I’d definitely recommend.

I am extremely satisfied with Seymour’s. I purchased 2 high end suits in 2004, which quickly became out of style and basically unwearable for a man in his 30s, due to their boxy structure. I have asked many tailors over the years if anything could be done to turn them into modern slim-​fit suits and was always told if the shoulders were too wide, no tailor could fix them. I stumbled upon Seymour’s and asked them to work on one of the suits for starters. The jacket: take in sides, reduce shoulders, narrow sleeves, and shorten length. The pants: take in seat crotch, take in legs, and narrow bottoms. They are perfectionists, and after multiple fittings the suit was essentially completely redesigned and is now very modern looking and fits perfectly. I was shocked with what they were able to do. I knew it was a gamble, but for a very reasonable price I am now able to wear a very expensive suit I would have had to give away. I just took my second suit to them for similar tailoring. My impression is they are a family business who take great pride in their work. They are also suit makers, so I’m guessing this provides extra expertise with suit tailoring and separates them from standard tailors.

Seymour is the man! Extremely friendly and professional staff. I needed pants altered in a day and they got it done and didn’t even charge me a rush fee. His tailors got it done perfectly the first time and the pants now fit great. Then he gave me a free garment bag when I picked everything up. Extremely reasonable pricing and great and convenient location in fidi. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Best value for suits in the city. Custom made and less expensive than knock off suits in Neiman’s or Sacks. Ravi and George are very professional, accommodating and reasonably priced.

LAZY WORK — POOR ATTITUDE — DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH
Ravi’s attitude and rude demeanor overall is quite off-​putting and unwarranted. He speaks with such an air of snobbery and elitism that is VERY hard to get past. He has a chip on his shoulder (couldn’t tell you why) but definitely makes it a point to make himself feel superior through the tone of his voice.
These guys greet you at the door in fine-​tailored three piece suits with buffed and polished shoes; all they’re missing are top hats, monocles and canes. They give an illusion of fine dapper gent-​ware and fool you with their head-​bobbling compassion. This is all leading up to getting as much of your $$$ as possible. Thereafter, your clothing is passed along to unskilled handmaidens, easily equated to migrant workers, who produce shoddy work. If indeed Ravi and/​or his father step of their thrones to do some stitching and alterations, you’ll be left with what «they» think is best and a frustrated headache.
With all the competition in this city, you would think that some gratitude would keep repeat business. Sadly, that is not the case. Ravi frequently mentions his «other clients» when you call, avoids your concerns in lieu of dealing with challenges, and goes on the offensive first without even knowing who you are, what your business is, or how to solve issues politely and respectfully.
BOTTOM LINE: A neighborhood laundromat can do what these guys do. Save your time and money, and go somewhere else.

Gavi and Georgi did an amazing job making my husband custom made wedding suit at last minute. We visited this place two weeks before our wedding which is very tight time line. Despite of the short period, they tailored the suit exactly how my husband wanted. The color was perfect and the design of the suit fitted perfectly to my husband body. We highly recommend these guys if you want the special custom made suit for the special day.

I’ve been using Seymour’s Fashion for a few months now and I’m extremely satisfied. My first order was small and I needed a suit and shirt made in a few weeks. They understood the rush order and explained the order typically takes 4 – 6 weeks but had it for me in perfect condition in less than 4 weeks. Since late last year they have made me over 15 shirts and 3 suits so far with no issues. Great father/​son duo that really know their stuff. I read a few of the reviews and noticed a common issue about rude service but I should tell you that they are not rude. The way they speak shouldn’t be taken in the tone it is heard. Culturally, this is a common tone used and you’ll probably only understand or agree if you know people from their part of the world.
My first visit was what sold me on these guys… I sat at the small table while someone else was picking up an order and naturally the guy picking up the order started chatting. He mentioned he’s been using them for suits for over 10 years and has spent over $ 40k with them. He swore by their work and material and if I wasn’t satisfied he would buy my suit from me. This guy went as far as giving me his card! I’ve torn the card since then and see these guys almost one a month for a few shirts.
If you appreciate quality and great work I highly recommend checking out this place.

I wanted to like this place, but the sales guy is kinda just a cranky person to be honest. Got pants altered and he just seemed to be pissed off. Asked me if it seemed to tight on sides and I was said, «I think that’s pretty good, but I’d like your opinion, what do you think?», his response, «I HATE when ppl come in here and don’t know what they want! I can’t tell you if it’s right or wrong!!». Whoa chill out, just asked for your opinion, it’s okay to ask a tailor if things look good or not.
As for the pricing… it seems a little shady… I went to the grumpy sales guys’ father who priced out my pant alteration at $ 70 (cash or it’s more he said). At least the father seemed nicer. A bit pricy in my opinion and the main guy is just grumpy, I’d look elsewhere.

Now, this is the right way to buy a suit. You will not find this level of fit or quality with something off the rack. George and Ravi offer uncompromising craftmanship and service at a fair price. I had not bought a new suit in over ten years, and they were very patient and attentive. I have rarely been this pleased with a purchase.

We went here and bought a suit for a wedding.
George and Ravi were a pleasure to work with, we are very happy with the suit, and will be coming back again.
We did 3 fittings, the result was a great fitting suit. The store is not a fancy showroom, instead they invest in the quality of their suits.

I went to Seymour’s for shorten my Thom Browne suit sleeves. When I went to pick up, I found out that the seems on the shoulders were rough, so I went back again. After this time, they fixed the seems on the front, but they didn’t fix it on the back. I am so disappointed that they treated my $ 2000 dollars suit, so I will not go back for they to fix my suit again, I will find somewhere else.

Super nice guys. But to cut to the chase, they messed up a suit jacket, and its frustrates me so I am writing a review, which i almost hate to do because tailoring is an art form and a dying art.
The order was to raise the collar and take in the sides. Somehow they made the shoulders of the jacket have material underneath bunch up under the outer fabric. It looked terrible. Granted, they did try to fix it, but it was never the same and they just couldn’t get it right. ON the second wearing i bit my tongue and left.
They blamed the quality of the suit, but I blame the ladies they have working for them who likely didn’t have the experience needed. It was a made to measure $ 700 suit, so I admit it wasn’t what they are likely used to dealing with. THey have many high quality fabrics and do bespoke. Ultimately took it back to another tailor to salvage it, but it was never the same, and still isn’t.
BTW, the second tailor also claimed I was overcharged by Seymour’s for the work done. That I cant say for certain (as they are all very competitive) but there you go.
BTW they give you a discount for cash and don’t run it through a POS machine. I’ll let you figure out what that means.

I got my alice+olivia skirt altered here and they did an amazing job! The price was pretty high for taking in the sides of a skirt ($ 35) but the craftsmanship definitely shows through. If you have an experience piece of clothing that you need altering… I’d definitely recommend this place.

I have to say, I’m always impressed when a business refuses to take my money.
I brought a custom suit jacket in because I felt it needed to be taken in a bit. After examining the jacket on me, George explained that the fit was actually ideal – that if he took the jacket it at all, the fit would actually be compromised. And so, he refused to alter the jacket, which would have been a rush job on an expensive garment… so he was definitely turning down some good money.
If I ever actually need to have a suit altered, I’ll hit this place up.

Ravi and George are fantastic tailors and very reasonably priced for the quality. I needed two blazers tailored and they got it done well, quickly (one day earlier than promised!), and inexpensively.
I highly recommend this place – they will be the only tailor I use in town from now on.

After looking all over the city to have an old but very expensive European coat tailored to my size, I had nearly lost hope that nobody could do it. I had been turned down by five different places saying it was too hard and/​or too expensive.
Thanks to Seymour’s I was able to get my coat tailored perfectly and in a very professional way. I highly recommend this place!

I’ve been going to Ravi for alterations for over two years now and have always walked away extremely satisfied. I divide my life between SF and NYC and find myself time and again, bringing jeans back to Ravi for alterations. When possible, he’s able to keep the original hem, which I love, since I have a ~29″ inseam and jeans are standard 34″. If you travel a lot Ravi will also ship you your alterations, which I find convenient since I sometimes might go months before being back in SF.

Absolutely fantastic. We needed 2 ties turned into a little boy’s tie and a big & tall tie, as well as a suit alternation in time for our wedding (just under 2 weeks to complete). After being turned down by a number of tailors, saying doing the ties was too hard and the overall job couldn’t get done in time, Seymour promised he could do it.
They called the day they said they’d have it done and did a fantastic job. Wonderful service and we’re very happy with the suit and ties. Highly recommend.
