SF Green Cab

Punctual. Warm, friendly and professional. Helpful with my tons of baggage. And love that it’s driver owned and operated. And green!
I’ve used SF Green Cab twice. Both times were for my small business service, to get my equipment to my customer’s location.
What can I say? The driver was on time, and friendly. Helped me carry my equipment– I didn’t even have to ask. Maybe it’s the pride of working for a driver owned and operated company.
A great business investment, to get me to my first day on-​the-​job, unstressed.
I’m calling them for my third ride, for this coming month. For business again. This time, across the bay, which my customer’s paying for. Hope they’ll go that far!
Loove that it’s Carbon neutral, too.

My cab driver was very nice and he drove great, usually when I go to the city and take taxis they all way drove slow so they can charge me more money for the time being. I went from veness st to the cal train station for under 15 $ great cab business especially the man speaking in the phone. Very useful, highly satisfied.

Left phone in the cab, correspondence with the company was unprofessional, untimely, and he seemed more concerned with treating me condescendingly than following up with my lost item.

Sometimes, the occasional cab might be late. Sometimes, a cab might take a wrong turn or be stuck in traffic and be excessively late. Three tiers above that, there’s SF Green Cab.
I’ve seen these cabs arrive around 10 – 15 minutes late before, so I booked one in advance. That was at 9:30, and I had somewhere to be at 10:10. 30 minutes after my order, no cab was inside. I had checked in with the dispatcher around every 20 minutes, who assured me that I was «at the top of their list». I’m assuming the people at the bottom of the list have been stranded for life and living off the leather on their shoes, because to be this late is simply a work of art. «A cab can often be stuck in rush hour», I heard as I looked out onto the empty streets. Perhaps I should buy a tank of tortoises, paint my phone number on their side, and enjoy my new job as a taxi dispatcher.

Not going to use this company again! First of all it always takes forever for the drivers to arrive. 2^nd — I just had the worst customer service experience ever!
Knowing that it takes forever for the cab to arrive I called at 11:25 for an 11:45 pick up. When I spoke to the dispatcher he said they don’t do advanced pick up times. I tried explaining to him that by the time the cab arrives it will be perfect timing but he told me to call back in 10 minutes.
I called back in 10 minutes.
11:45 rolls around… no cab. I called the dispatcher back to get an ETA and he said 5 — 10 minutes. (grrrr). 10 minutes later, still no cab. I called back and he said again 4 minutes. At that point I merely expressed to him that it was frustrating that when I called the first time he wouldn’t let me place the cab order because if he had the cab would have been on time. He then proceeded to argue with me that they don’t do advanced pick up times and that it’s not frustrating. I said:“Maybe it’s not frustrating for YOU but you should consider your clients. «he said: «I’ve been doing this for 25 years… blah blah blah.»
Buddy — if you’ve been doing this for 25 years you should have the common sense not to argue with your clients. A simply apology for the inconvenience was all I was looking for.
I got off the phone and called Yellow cab right away — they arrived in UNDER 5 minutes.
12:15 — a whole 45 minutes LATER — Green cab showed up. And it will be the last time they ever come to this location. Sheesh!

What can ya say. Cool driver, timely service. Rates equal to everyone else in Frisco. Very happy with em.

Every time I have ordered a cab from SF Green Cab they come in under 10 minutes, are reasonably priced (usually cheaper than Lyft or Über at their peak hours) nice and save driver. There have been times when I have called and the line was busy or no one picked up, but I call again a few minutes later and they pick up.

Not a legitimate cab company. If you try contacting them, you will be ignored or hung up on. Don’t bother contacting them for their non-​existent service.

ok. I’ve never had a dispatcher be this gracious and kind. WOW! Right in the middle of Giants pennant celebrations when cabs are few!

Very ticked off!!! This company stood us up not once, but twice on THE SAME DAY! The first time we waited over 30 minutes down in Cow Hollow before giving up and finally flagging down another company. The second time (WHY DID I EVEN BOTHER?!) we waited over 60 minutes before calling another company. This company made us very late to our dinner reservations!
I thought we would go with them since we did have a good ride with them from the airport, but that’s pretty easy since they are just waiting in line and you take whatever is available. WILL NEVER CALL AGAIN! You shouldn’t either.

OK, so for those of you who know me well, you know that I’m a happy person and don’t lose my temper very quickly. But, this is a combination review for Yellow Cab, DeSoto Cab, and Green Cab. I much prefer to give radiantly-​positive reviews like my last one, but this situation just couldn’t go ignored.
Last week, I called Yellow Cab to get a ride at 10:30pm. At 10:40pm, I received an automated call saying that it’s 1 minute away. Now, this isn’t a problem since I know from past experience that it’s really actually going to be there in 5 minutes, so I waited patiently.
Before I realized it, I started to get really tired, so I looked at the clock and, no wonder! It was already past 11pm. This was not acceptable, so I called to check on the status of my cab. After opting to speak with an agent, the automated system kept kicking me off the call, 5 times, saying «Error Number 86.» CLICK.
Now, I’m getting irritated because I haven’t been able to speak with a live person or get a status update. So, I decide to call DeSoto Cab and see who gets there faster …
BIG MISTAKE.
I really should’ve gotten the operator’s name because he was so unbelievably rude! When I told him what’s going on, he said that DeSoto Cab doesn’t double-​book, so if I haven’t cancelled my other cab, then I’m not allowed to book their services. I completely understand that because I do know that the taxi industry is hurting, but it’s the next action he decided to take that merits my rating for DeSoto Cab. When he explained his concern about both cabs getting there at the same time that I would take Yellow Cab since I called them first, I tried to tell him that I promise I would take DeSoto Cab since I’m fed up with Yellow Cab. And my word is my golden truth. He then interrupted me and said that then they’d be screwing the other company, so NO. CLICK.
What’s up with being hung up on that night? Sheesh! All I wanted was a ride so I could go to sleep finally!
Here came 11:15pm and I’m pissed. So, I called Green Cab as a last resort before I just give up and walk to my destination. That operator was so polite! Instantly, my grumpiness went out the door (It’s proven that nobody can stay angry with someone who’s polite) and, I swear, that cab got there in 2 minutes flat!
It’s now over 1 week later, and Yellow Cab NEVER called me to pick me up.

I was involved in a car accident today because one of their drivers ran a red light at the intersection of Larkin and Bush Street this afternoon. The driver was a black man, approximately 40 – 50 years of age, the cab number was 335. The female passenger was hurt and taken away in an ambulance and he expressed no concern whatsoever. He caused another vehicle to collide with our car.
The driver got out of the cab and was accusing the other car of running a red light and causing the accident. What?! When I asked for his driver’s license, insurance information, and registration he refused and said he wasn’t giving me anything. When I called the cab company, I spoke to Bud and he told me if the driver refused, call SFPD. About 45 minutes passed and a rude trailer trash bitch got out of one of their cabs and was listening to the cab driver’s lies. I stood by waiting for him to finish so I could ask for the 3 times that was denied the first time. So this BITCH tells me to calm down, I was calm. Then she proceeds to tell me he didn’t understand English and that is the reason why he didn’t give me the information I asked for. OMG, was she for real? I proceeded to take my business to San Francisco’s finest and filed the police report with them.
This company is a joke, they are all liars, they have no ethics, I wouldn’t get in one of their cabs if it was the only transportation on the face of earth. I hate slimes and dishonest people. I am told they have cameras in all the cabs now, I hope this driver looses his license and gets criminal charges against him! The passenger in his cab and the driver of the other car were both taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

We just met one of the nicest people ever: Lawrence! Our cab driver was wonderful, engaging and so professional. The cab was clean, and the equipment functioned (TV screen) well. Lawrence kept us safe, driving as though he had his best friend’s well being in his hands. Cab 376, our driver Lawrence were awesome. Thank-​you and we hope to see the next time we visit San Francisco.

Not surprised to see that this cab company doesn’t have such great reviews. I took a cab last night and misplaced my credit card. I just called to ask if there was a lost and found and was put on hold. The dispatcher picked the call up again and asked for my address and told him I was waiting for lost and found. He asked me if I lost an IPhone and I told him it was my credit card. He yelled «Just cancel your credit card!» and then hung up on me. Wow.

A Green Cab tailgated me on my bicycle at Webster and Broadway and blared his horn at me and scaring me when I was on a clearly marked bicycle route and there was plenty of room for him to pass me.

Always reliable.
I have been using Green Cab for about 10 years now in the city. They never have problems finding my house, always show up (unlike Yellow Cab who rarely even answers the phone) and are always on time or early.

The taxi cab driver was rude, took forever to pick us up, and then when he dropped us off I needed change and he could not give me change so had to give him an undeserved tip.

Didn’t show up after an hour after the dispatcher had told us it would take fifteen minutes. When I called back, just apologized and said couldn’t send a cab over. MOST RIDICULOUS service ever, there is a reason why Über and Lyft are both at the forefront in terms of transportation.

I lost my Iphone in the sf green Cab and called to report it and was given a very shady run around. I did not need to be treated so horribly. Even if the guy stole the phone wouldnt he just take my number, and hang up?
He took extra pleasure in repeatedly putting me on hold.
This is a shady cab company and the operators care little about their customers

Last Saturday, I took Green Cab from the Mission to Inner Richmond. The guy that picked me up was awesome, and it was a very enjoyable cab ride. They got to my apartment within 10 minutes and when I got to my friend’s place, the guy even waited to make sure I got into her apartment building safely. Super nice and the whole experience made me a really big fan of Green Cab… until last night (Friday).
Friday night at around 7, I called Green Cab. They said it was the perfect time to call because it was before the Friday night rush and that they would be at my apartment in 5 – 25 minutes. I waited for 40, then I finally called them back. The guy manning the phone sounded surprised that a cab hadn’t shown up yet and refreshed my address on the list, calling for a new cab to come pick me up. He told me it would be there within 7 – 8 minutes. I waited for 15, then I called again. The guy was super apologetic which was great, except for the fact that I had almost been waiting for an hour for a cab, so he called me a new one. After another 10 minutes and still no cab, I ended up calling Arrow Checker. They got there within 5 minutes without any issues.
Long story short, I am never using Green Cab again. I cannot believe that the guy sent three different cabs and none of them ever showed up… That’s ridiculous. No thank you!
