History

Established in 2012.

SFC San Francycle was established in 2012 by designer Tommy Pham. As an avid cyclist himself he saw a niche for casual clothing for the everyday cyclist commuter. We started off selling to local boutiques and on Oct. 3rd 2014 opened our first Flagship. We also have an online store www​.wear​esfc​.com.

Business Owner

Tommy Pham graduated from the Academy of Art in 2003. He moved to NYC to work for American Eagle where he was mentored by Charlotte Rawkowski who later became the creator of Converse by Varvatos. His next step was getting recruited by Ecko Unlimited to help launch the G-​Unit line of streetwear for rapper 50 Cent. After getting his feet wet in a large corporation and experiencing a start up he went to work for Express as the Head Denim designer.

At Express he was instrumental to catapulting Express Jeans as a brand. Under his direction Express jeans became a nationwide success.

In 2009 Tommy moved back to San Francisco to pursue his dream of owning his own clothing brand. Tommy launched Grp. E jeans which saw a very short stint due to the recession and a few missteps.

In 2012 Tommy launched SFC San Francycle. A casual clothing brand which encompasses his aesthetics and lifestyle as a city cyclist.

SFC lured me in because every time I passed by on my way to the COVA hotel across the street, the place was closed. How can a place be closed with this much cool gear on display in the windows? Truth be told, I would pass by SFC during a morning run or late at night, after some serious debauchery, so I planned to stop in before we flew out of San Fran.
I’m glad my wife and I had a chance to stop in. Tommy is a really charismatic owner and he had no issue with us lugging in our luggage while we shopped for some last minute items. We purchased some t shirts and Tommy provided us with the the 10% neighborhood discount… I mean we were staying at the COVA across the street!
I recommend taking a look at the SFC website to get an idea of the themes of his clothing line, but there is MUCH, MUCH more of a selection at Tommy’s actual store, so definitely stop in.
If Tommy ever reads these reviews, I am still in need of a fitted grey heather hat with the bear riding the bike. You didn’t have any in stock that fit my huge head (I wear a 7 5⁄8), but said you would have them online. I haven’t seen them online and I really want one!!!

Great experience here this afternoon. I’m always weary of the new shops in the TL but this owner clearly takes a lot of pride in what he makes and it shows!

I bought a cool tank top and scoped out some potential gifts for the cyclists in my life. Really cool t-​shirts and sweatshirts here. I wish there were more selections for women… some of the best designs only come in men’s sizes.
There is a local photographer on display right now with awesome photos of bikers in the area so come by and support!
Great addition to the neighborhood so glad to support :)

Support small businesses based in SF! Wandered into this lovely shop on the way home from work. They have really good quality shirts that are made and printed in the City. Mention that you are a local and get 20% off. Shirts are in the mid 20s and they also have pile of $ 10 misprints.

My friends and I checked out Tommy’s store a couple of weeks ago. The clothes are top notch quality and are priced affordably. I bought a t-​shirt and the cotton is super soft and of great quality. Tommy is a super cool guy too!

Came to check out this shop that I been hearing about and it was awesome! Not only did I pick up a few t shirts, a hat and a shirt for a friend of mine, but I also got to hear about the owner, Tommy, talk about the fashion industry and what goes on in the scene. I went with my two friends and one is really into fashion and learning so Tommy took time to share his knowledge a bit with us about his experience in working for Express, G-​Unit (50 cent) in NYC and teaching. It was overall a very cool experience and I learned something!
Oh and the shirts are very high quality and very soft. Not the usual 100% cotton, they are actually 50% cotton, 25% rayon and 25% polyester which makes it super super soft. The styles are nice and he’s always coming up with new stuff!

I like to support local businesses. Tommy Pham has some great designs! I’m not a 24⁄7 cyclist, but I do ride on occasion. His designs stick to SF roots and are catchy. Printed on soft and warm material so it’s worth the money. The folks who work in the store are really friendly and helpful too!

Love this place! it’s got some of the coolest t-​shirts around especially if you are into riding bikes! The owner designs all the shirts himself and prints them as well. It’s a lost art and well worth the money to get your hands on such unique shirts. I can’t say enough about the quality and design of the shirts everyone from the Bay Area should own some!

Stopped in to check out the store not sure what to expect. Left with a sick new tee. Tommy is a pretty chill guy and he runs a great store with lots of quality products. Would definitely visit again.
