Description

Specialties

We specialize in using only California grown, in-season, organic produce to make unique and delicious juice combinations.

Our menu showcases a delicious variety of combinations crafted to appease a discerning palate. We also offer housemade almond cream, seasonal pressed juices and light fare.

Because we make each juice combination fresh to order using the highest quality ingredients, we do not use a «cold press» method of extraction. Our juices are best enjoyed immediately, as with an espresso, but are still delicious if kept cold and consumed within 24 – 48 hours.

History

Established in 2012.

Sow (pronounced «so») as in to plant seed in or on the earth.

Sow Juice was launched as a pop-up juice bar inside a wine bar in San Francisco in May 2012 by friends and Co-Founders Luisa Alberto and Derek Castro who met while building the Bay Area wholesale program for Blue Bottle Coffee in 2008. They translated their passion for impeccable coffee to the world of juice.

In March 2013, Sow Juice Bar made its debut at the renowned Ferry Plaza Farmers Market in front of the San Francisco Ferry Building. Luisa and Derek, along with an amazing part-time crew, have been crafting unique combinations to order — using only organic and in-season ingredients sourced from neighboring market growers — ever since!

UPDATE: We are opening our first permanent kiosk at the San Francisco Ferry Building Fall 2015.
