Specialties

Manual therapy consisting of soft /​deep tissue, myofasciial release, accupressure, trigger point work, active release to name a few. I also include joint mobilization’s as needed. Education as to stretching and strengthening is another service I employ.

History

Established in 1990.

Began part time private practice while working in sports medicine physical therapy clinic. Have been fully self employed since 2005.

Therapeutic massage with Steve is the best I have ever experienced. His background as a PTA working in a physical therapy hospital setting, combined with his intuitive sensibilities and extraordinarily talented hands, make him my go-​to person for injury treatment or pain relief. What Steve does seems truly magical… though I know his ability comes from many years of training and experience. He readily senses muscle tension or strain, applies the appropriate amount of pressure or manipulation technique, and leaves me feeling better than new. In addition to being highly competent at his work, Steve is also a genuinely nice person and a pleasure to work with. It is no surprise that his clients stick with him for years!

I hurt my knee playing basketball last year and had an acl graft, meniscus repair and chondroplasty. My surgeon at Saint Francis Dr Prieto was excellent. Physical therapy at Saint Francis however was TERRIBLE. All of the PT sucked. I switched to Ultrahealth which was better (I can only recommend Monika) and finally started to look for massages in addition to physical therapy. Steve is a PTA, worked for a big San Fran hospital for 15 years. His massages have been helping me a lot and I recommend him.
