I really like the concept of Street Fixe, so a friend and I decided to try out«The Wiches.» It was all sandwiches and overall, we liked everything we ate. This one took place at Heart in the Mission, which is a really cool venue. But we were seated in the very back at a bar against the wall. We literally stared at the wall the whole time, which was awkward and uncomfortable. We were not even close to being the last people to arrive for the first seating, so we were really confused why we were put there. Had we sat at a table, I would have given 5 stars. I will definitely go to the next event, but will request a table.

So here is the deal. Street Fixe is more of an event than it is a restaurant with a physical address. However, it is worthy of being noted and open for review on Unilocal. Street Fixe had it’s second event — and if you aren’t familiar with Street Fixe, it is a collaboration of food cart vendors who get together at one restaurant and serve food especially created for the event. There is a lot of creativity, and it is an impressive event. There are two sittings — one on the earlier side and one a couple of hours later. Each event has a different theme. The event for this evening, July 11th, was called Thai High. And you guessed it — Thai Food! Vendors were: Global Soul Soul Cocina Crème Brulle Cart Sweet Constructions The food was great, and the venue was held at the Stable Café. Great space, great people and great food. And a very creative idea to put on such a unique event. Get a ticket for the next event, that is — if you can!
