my new favorite brunch spot! they have brunch on sat and sun so that helps if you can’t do a sunday funday. great dishes, large outdoor patio in front so you’re not on top of another table. another outdoor patio in the back with umbrellas and heaters. service and kitchen is on the ball. oooops i meant to post this review for the west hollywood location! lol

One of the best Mexican places in FiDi, on par with Taqueria Maya. Also one of the few places that you can get a California burrito, with freshly-fried fries.

As someone who does not cook I rely on our local restaurants quite a bit. Generally, in San Francisco we get the best. However with this Mexican restaurant — and I am someone who comes for the central valley who’s tasted a lot of Mexican food — I can’t give this place more than two stars. After three orders I have just scratched them off the list. The ingredients are decent but too much sour cream and salsa slopped all over the meal makes it almost inedible.

Estrella is a Mexican stand in the International Food Court off of Kearny. For $ 8.50 I got a super burrito with al pastor. The burrito was decent, nothing to write home about. Portion sizes were large, definitely too much for one sitting(I saved a bit for lunch the next day). Service was friendly, but a bit slow. I had no complaints, and at the price this is a pretty standard Mexican joint. Estrella isn’t a bad choice if you’re in the food court and hankering for a burrito.

I just got done writing up a review for El Faro around the corner so I was eager to review this place to compare. I say the ½ star more that I’m giving Estrella vs the current rating for El Faro is about accurate. The food here is still pretty bland, though it does look better on the hot table than that at El Faro, but ultimately this food is not that special. If I order carnitas(one of my go to measures of a taqueria) I want to get crispy porkly bits, anything else and it just tastes like a greasy pork roast. Will continue to be on the look out for the best taqueria in the Fi-Di…

Had a decent breakfast burrito here with mushrooms, rice, black beans, and, of course, scrambled eggs. A freshly made burrito is not bad for just over five bucks.

Friendly service that will customize your order with grace! Great options! Don’t let the venue turn you off. And you can order party platters!

The price is inexpensive and the quality worse. I’ve been here a few times and each experience was a letdown worse the the one before it. First time around I had the regular chicken burrito. The meat was good but overall it was lacking flavor and just not something I’d ever crave again. It wasn’t bad but was missing flavor, texture and just life. My second visit, having not learned from my first, I had the same but super and it wasn’t any better. Sure, it had what may be referred to as sour cream and really watered down green stuff that I must assume was once known as avocado but was no more. The last and final visit was for the super quesadilla. Everything was there, except flavor. It was so messy it could have come in a bowl with a spoon. Too bad really because everything is fresh. I don’t know about you but when I eat out I look for more flavor than I can easily make myself. If I want inexpensive food with no flavor I’ll just go to subway. Next. There is a 10% chance I’ll return.

This place stinks. I got super veggie Naxos and the guacamole was brown. Then they threw the nachos in a bag so they sopped up the bag and gross nacho juice leaked everywhere. Give me a break

Dibs: — A good variety on Mexican food — A good Taqueria place if you want that fix — Okay taste to their salsa selections — Quick to get your orders out — Better than getting your burrito at Chipotle — Reasonably priced — They offer fajitas, moles and other platters No major complaints.

This place is a gem in a sea of Americanized Mexican places! They have real guacamole, real fried taco shells, horchata and are just overall delicious! They are also super friendly and even gave us a free drink and chips! A+ food, A+ prices and A+ authenticity!

I just found this place near where I work downtown. It is authentic Mexican food, which is rare for this area of the city. All the other Mexican food places are a joke, like Chipotle and Panella. They even have Chicken Mole! Yummy! They have a huge menu to choose from and everything I tried so far has been excellent. One thing to be aware of, if you order spicy you will get furnace mega hot spicy, so be aware they don’t wussy down thier heat level. The prices are very reasonable too, and the burritos are huge. They even have refried beans(try to get that at Chipotle). If you are in the downtown area, and need a good mex fix, you should try this place, you won’t be dissapointed.
