We try hard to make the traditional taste buds of the Mexican dishes of the states of «Durango and Sinaloa. Our Al Pastor, Carnitas, Chilie Verde and Lengua attract many who grave homestyle dishes.
History
Established in 1997.
Zorro was established in 1997 and was purchased by the present owner (Norman), in 2001. For the past eight years we’ve been striving to bring the traditional Taqueria from the Mission District, to North Beach. The owner is an native San Franciscan, and grew up eating tacos and burritos and knows what people are looking for when it comes to burritos and tacos. Although, it’s not the Mission District., you’ll find just as good and even better Mexican food at Taqueria Zorro. Our customers come from all over the world, from tourist, to locals who work and live in the area, to our local community, surrounding neighborhoods and to the young and restless weekend crowds.

I’ve been restauranteur for over twenty five years in San Francisco. I’ve owned different concepts, from cafes to fine dining to my present place Zorro. While attending Hotel & Restaurant school many years ago, I’ve always tried to surround myself with a hard working dedicated staff, providing great service and good food. I find that some of the reviews on Yelp, help me make adjustments to improve the overall experience of our custiomers. We are always looking and listening to our customers for feedback to make the overall dining experience at Taqueria Zorro enjoyable.
