History

Established in 1990.

Established in 1990, Temper Insulation Co., Inc. was founded by former Heat and Frost Estimator, Tom Chun. Through his experience as a well rounded and keen estimator, Tom had dreams of one day running his own business in the field. Starting out with just three employees and a small residential two car garage, Tom propelled Temper Insulation Co., Inc. into a successful small business that now currently supports a payroll of thirty and occupies its own 5,000 square foot space in San Francisco’s ever so popular SOMA District.

Following industry trends and advancements, Temper Insulation Co., Inc. has seamlessly expanded into the Fire Stopping industry. Mechanical and Plumbing Insulation and Fire Stopping go hand in hand. By expanding our services, we now offer our clients the convenience of contracting both insulation and fire stopping projects under one umbrella.
