Teo is always open late, till 4am but it just really didn’t cut it. There is so much better Korean food in the area that its just not worth coming here. small portions and alot of people who jest left the clubs come here to feed their late nite hunger. Teo is closed now and I don’t think it will be missed much.

When you have to eat This place will do It’s the worse when you get to that point of not wanting to wait, but you are just so dam hungry and there isn’t really another place to go because it’s too late. My friends recommended going to Lucky Chances next time in Colma, now you and I know. Don’t sucked into gambling though. It’s an Asian establishment so don’t expect the best service. They were understaffed and if you have a large group you better get here early and be willing to wait. There were no complaint about the food. The noodles were really good. Open late, understaffed, food was good, and the result is a 2.5

I’m definitely past this age of post-club dining. Small portions. Decent food. Not as good as other local Korean restaurants open DURINGTHEDAY. But this place caters to a certain clientele and I would think at 2AM when your ears are ringing and you’re a little intoxicated and your biggest dilemma in the world is who your ex was with at the club and how you want to beat him/her up, you can’t really compare or complain about how your food is presented. The above is not me, but people at other tables.

The prices are way too expensive for low quality food. Why would the kimchi soup be around 12.99? I’ll tell you why. Because this the the only Korean restaurant open late night(till 4am). My friends drag me here everytime we stay out late and I have refuse to eat it after the initial few times. I rather sit there and wait for them to finish eating before I engulf in food this pathetic. The meat is dry and the soup is tasteless. Only reason you should step foot in here is because it is late at night and there is no other option… oh wait. jack in the box is open 24 hours a couple of blocks down. I rather have greasy, unhealthy food then eat here.

HORRID. Please save your money and time on a place that’s a little more delightful, delicate, and tasty. The only reason why this place is still in business is because they open till 4 a.m. We ordered the tofu w/beef stew, jap chae noodles, and peach soju. The beef tofu stew had no beef, noodles had pieces of beef that seemed like it was taken from left over bulgogi, the side dishes were extremely salty, and the soju tasted like it was ¾ peach concentrate and ¼ cheap soju. Our bill came out to be $ 37.00. The prices are way overpriced since their food tasted like barf. Advice: STAYAWAY.

DONOTEATHERE I had one of the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant here. If it’s late at night and you are stuck in this area and this is the only place open: STARVE!!! seriously do not eat here. So here is my terrible experience: They recently changed their prices on their menu, but they were so cheap they literally glued little white papers over their old prices and wrote in new ones. I ordered the kimchi soup(sorry if my spelling is off) and from the messy handwritten price on the menu it looked like the price was $ 6.88, turns out it was actually $ 12.88. That’s way overpriced considering it’s basically just a cabbage soup and the portion is very small. When they brought the soup out we tried it and it was disgusting. We immediately told the server«We don’t like it, we’re not going to eat it» He responded with«you ordered the kim chi soup right?» and I said«yes but we don’t like it and we’re not going to eat it» He just walked away, didn’t take the soup away or offer any remorse. He could have offered that we order something else, or been somewhat polite about it. His attitude was«you ordered it so it’s your problem» Why anyone would want to eat at a restaurant where they treat their customers this way is beyond me. We also ordered a «beef fried rice» dish. There was barely any beef! You know when they decorate your food with a couple parsley leaves? That’s how much beef was on our dish, looked like they just put a tiny bit to decorate the dish with. They even had a picture of it in the menu, and the picture and what we got looked nothing alike. At the end of the meal, I was still very hungry, and all I had to eat was a small bit of steamed white rice that I was able to pick out of my food, and my bill? $ 30! $ 30 for a cup of steamed white rice is RIDICULOUS. I was very upset, and instead of trying to reason with me, they were RUDE to me. They did not care. This is close to the worst, if not the worst service I’ve ever gotten in a restaurant! If you are not Korean, and do not speak their language, you have been warned, they will treat you worse than the bug I saw on the wall if you come in here.

I came here like a week ago, I think, to grab a late-night bite with my Hunnie and his buddy. We were seated promptly and the lady was nice and always smiling. We ordered a Beef Bulgogi and a Kimchi Beef Soup. The Beef Bulgogi was too much on the sweet side again, but it was still okay. We were a bit surprised to see how tiny the soup was — the«pot» was like 4 inches in diameter, maybe 4.5 if you count the rim and about 3 inches tall. We asked if we accidentally ordered a small. The lady said that’s their standard size. O_O! Really? I swore it was an inch wider in diameter and half an inch taller the last time I came. .. So we just ordered another one and we really should’ve tried the first one before we ordered the second one. The soup was really thick and chunky(stew-like) BUT that’s not that bad. What’s worse(if not the worst) is that it was EXTREMELYSALTY. I hate wasting food, but I couldn’t even eat it with rice. They should really consider upgrading their«pot» and adding in more water or broth. Their food is way too expensive for it’s quality and quantity. I’d happily walk a block or two further to To Hyang if they were open. I really hope we don’t come here, again.

Went here last Saturday late night… around 3 am. We were absolutely hammered. Place was busy. A week later, I still can’t believe the five of us, with 7 dishes(Ge Jang, Kal bi, Kal bi jeem, 2 bacons, man doo, crab soup) dropped a $ 200 check in that place. Sure. We had TWO pots of «cold tea»… but… WTF? The check came… in Korean. No problem. The only number was the one on the bottom of the check in green Sharpie… I don’t usually trip-out on a bill. I go out. I have a good time. I drop loot. Our meal was not a $ 200 meal. Do the math. Still… We didn’t make a fuss. We paid. We left. We sobered up. We still couldn’t believe it. Yeah… I think we got«got». Would I go back? Prolly’ not.

This place cracks me up. It really does. I can’t believe how bad it was; it was just such an all-around unappetizing meal that it’s almost hilarious when I think about how bad it was. It seriously makes me LOL. So, let’s backtrack. A conversation with Joseph N. about free KFC turned into an actual midnight food run to seek out some good old fried chicken. Alas, KFC on 6th and Geary was closed, so Korean food’s the next best thing. Enter Teo. It’s 12:30am, and the place is deserted. We sit, the menu was pretty extensive, which got me really excited. But then, food-wise, it all went downhill from there. Let me tell you about all the food mistakes that we had to suffer: — The tofu soup wasn’t that great. I made the mistake of forgetting to order it white, and it came back really hot and red. Uh oh. But that was my stupid fault, so no complaints about the spice.(And thank you, Joseph N., for so generously switching and eating my mistake order. Much appreciated.) But anyway, even so, it was not very good. Like Joseph mentions in his review, it wasn’t very hot and didn’t make that characteristic awesome bubbling sound. They didn’t even give you an egg to crack into the soup; that’s always my favorite part too! Boo to that. — The bi bim bap was bland. I think my taste buds generally prefer blander things, but this was even too bland for my weak self. I kept eating more and more of it, thinking that maybe if I ate more, then I would start tasting some flavor. But by the end, it still tasted like nothing. — The fried chicken wings. The night started out with the need to get fried chicken, so it seemed appropriate to order some of those wings. Some people on Unilocal call these the«best chicken wings» and you«must try the chicken wings.» Um, that must be some sort of sick joke, because if you actually order them, get ready for an unpleasant surprise. Why? Well, because these are basically BATTER wings, as my sister would like to call it. You take a bite, and it’s almost all BATTER. I am dead serious. I got really confused when I first ate it. I took a look at the wing, and was thinking, um, did they like pick the meat off the bones and then fry the bones in some batter to serve to the customers? Because that’s probably what they did! It was absolutely ridiculous. I can’t stop laughing thinking about it. But I guess it wasn’t really so funny in the end, because those four(4!) batter wings cost $ 14.88. WTF. For $ 40, that was certainly one of the worst late-night, wait no, one of the worst meals in general that I’ve eaten. But at least it was all really funny. Next time, we’ll get some actual KFC, and if it’s late, some Jack in the Box.

1.5 stars, and I’m only rating it above 1 because it’s open late and the food isn’t so bad that you get sick. I came here with Vivian C. on a Tuesday night at about 12:30 a.m. There was absolutely no one in the restaurant, which is always a bad sign, but hey we figured maybe it’s just because it’s past midnight on a weekday. We ordered tofu stew, dolsot bi bim bap and fried chicken wings. The tofu stew was flavorful, but it wasn’t even that hot(temperature wise) whereas at any normal place it would come out boiling. The bowl was also pretty small, I would usually expect a bigger portion. Dol sot bi bim bap was ok, but fairly bland. The meat in it was not very high quality, vegetables were scarce and there just wasn’t much to say for it. This at least came out sizzling in the hot bowl the way it’s supposed to. But oh save the best for last, the fried chicken wings. First of all, it’s $ 14 for four deep-fried chicken wings. Yes, FOUR. But that’s not the funniest part. The wings look big when you get them, but when you pick one up you notice it’s very light… because… there’s barely any meat. I swear, volume-wise, these wings are at least 65% batter. I wish that were an exaggeration, it’s actually a conservative estimate. It’s as though they take the leftover bones, batter them, deep fry them, serve it up and repeat. And they charge FOURTEENFUCKINGDOLLARS for it. Maybe that’s how they stay open even when there’s no one there. I would take Jack in the Box or even Mel’s any night before I come back here again.

it’s a decent place to go after 2am, seeing how they open til 4am and if youre super drunk and don’t really care about how good the food really is or how expensive it is for what you get or that or if you just wanna dont feel like going home and rather be outside eating very very very mediocre korean food. Probably the best thing is for you alcoholics out there that think alcohol should be sold after 2am. Food was really really meh… i guess you know its kinda low on the standard chart when someone asks if the beef was the chicken or if the chicken was the beef… HOWEVER, they do have raw crap and a goat dish that seems too odd not to go back to try… i’ll take another stab at teo just to try those, or if i drown my sorrows in a teapot filled with soju…

Probably one of the only spots open in the Richmond past 2am. However, prices are quiet steep and the food doesn’t justify it. Panchan was quite fermented, and none were refilled. In fact the older server was rather surly, but that’s expected I guess. My friends had $ 20 galbi and a similarly expensive bulgogi. They didn’t have much to say about the bbq. Originally they wanted dolsot bibimbap but for some odd reason, only the cold version was available. I went with the kimchi chigae, which was surprisingly decent but still pricey at about $ 13. It came with plenty of kimchi and chunks of beef, and some tofu. The broth tasted similar to the one I like at Choi’s in Santa Clara, with a gochujang or daenjang component. So basically if you’re drunk in the Richmond after 2am, either go to Jack in the Box or just go to sleep.

Considering this place is open till like 4am, I can’t hate it. The food is decent and hits the spot but PLEASE! There is WAY better Korean food out there… don’t let this place be your basis for k-food… Their haemul pajun(seafood pancakes) are kinda bland as is most of their dishes and banchan… their dukbokki(spicy rice cakes) is decent… they have egg and tempura in it(but no vermicelli noodles, booo) mm… the kimchi soup is good :) The tea is good :) THEY’REOPENSOLATE … + + + Came here in college ALOT after long group meetings or for some drinks. There’s never really a wait… service is pretty quick and I’ve never had a bad server or service. Def. had some good times here! Again, it’s not the best but for late-night, it def gets the job done. :)

Never in my life have I been so disappointed in the service AND food at a restaurant. NEVER. Not even any fast food place has done me wrong like this place has! I came here one night after a community service event with 15 of my friends. We were around the area, and we stopped by this place just to check it out. EVERY single one of us ordered a dish of some sort, mostly bibimbap(is that how you spell it?). I asked for a coke. (an hour later) I’m still sitting there waiting for my coke. Then they came out and brought 5 dishes. FIVE. So the rest of us are sitting there thinking, «Geez, why is our food taking so long?» We sat and watched the other five eat, and they finished their bowls, and the rest of us were STILL wondering why we didn’t get ours. Then the waiter comes out with a check for our table and puts it down, and we all FLIPPEDOUT because they STILL didn’t bring out the rest of our meals! I know I was so damn hungry that evening. UGH! And to top it off, we looked at our bill, and he charged us for the FULL fifteen meals that we ordered(ANDMYCOKE!) which were never brought to the table! For the food that was brought out that our friends let us pick at, it was okay. Nothing to leave the door smiling about. I cook so much better. I think my 14 year old brother cooks better too. At least he REMEMBERS to bring me a bowl of something I ask for if he’s in the kitchen. Seriously, how do you think you can get off charging a table for fifteen meals when you only bring out FIVE of them. Ummm, we’re college students and graduates, and we’re NOTTHATSTUPID. And HOW do you forget a coke!!! You might as well bring in your OWN food. Seriously. They won’t notice. They totally didn’t seem to give a damn that 66% of our table did NOT have anything to eat. Take care of yourself and your friends and eat somewhere else.

This place really isn’t that bad. They have lunch specials from 11 – 5(which is a plus since I don’t start my day until 2 or 3 unless I really have to) and they’re $ 6.95 or a sundofu/dolsot bibimbap combo for $ 7.95. Really good sundofu. It tasted like a tomato-soup based broth, which worked because it was hearty and unique.(I’d be pissed if every Korean restaurant started doing that though.) The bibimbap was pretty good too, nice veggies and egg, the only thing that wasn’t great was the beef was a bit tough. Most of the side dishes are good, if a bit salty, and some of them are pretty creative, like eggplant and choy sum. There’s way too much red and neon going on here. If I didn’t know better, I’d think this place was a massage parlor. The miniature chairs tied to the walls are beyond strange, but at least they give this place personality. Also, I think the people who complain about this place being expensive are just people who come here for drunk eats at 3AM(because it’s open) and are used to cheap The Mission taquerias. Korean restaurants in SF are generally overpriced(sigh…I miss LA), but this particular one is probably actually on the cheaper side.

Why is it always the Korean owned establishments that allow indoor smoking and after hours«tea» drinking? Not that I’m complaining or anything… frankly, that is probably the only thing Teo has got going for it. Overall, food is mediocre compared to other Korean eats around and too expensive for drunken late night binging. However, staff is super friendly, but that just might be because I used to come here all the time… Also, despite what other reviews state, they won’t always serve you late night tea if they don’t know you, so don’t come in here late night expecting it – especially if you look like someone who is prone to call the city inspector(i.e. your white…). Otherwise, go in and pretend you know the staff by saying something like, «Long time no see!», nod and smile… and they’ll play game.

Teo is by no mean a neighborhood’s favorite, as there are many better, cheaper, more authentic Korean cuisines just a few blocks away. Yet my enthusiasm of Teo remains unquenched. Why? because it’s often the only place that serves up at least adequate Kimchee soup, BBQ rip eye, Korean little eats at the unholy time of 3:30 am late night. It is located at Gary and 1st, just within the tolerable driving distance from any major club. The crowd here is a turn off at this time, but it is to be expected at this hour after clubbing. I’ve never had a problem with anyone here, and I usually bump into many familiar faces, so I can’t really complain. Teo does serves alcohol well past 2 am, so another big plus for the alcohol warmongering individuals. Like me! The signature dishes in Teo are the Raw Beef, and Sizzling Bacon. The raw beef is a bit too sweet for my taste, but still an interesting dish to have along with a few beers. Make sure you have enough people to share this dish as the taste can be overwhelming after a few tries. The Sizzling Bacon is on and off sometimes, at its height the bacon is cooked to be tender and succulent, with a great kick of grilled onion flavor. Service here is the usual fare of Asian attitude, nothing intrusive and nothing spectacular, and that’s perfectly fine by me with a group of friends. If Dennis, Jack in the Box, aren’t really your thing after about 8 – 10 cocktails, perhaps Teo wouldn’t be so bad after all.

We were hungry and craving Korean food, so we took a chance on this place. Bad idea. You get small portions of mediocre food at a high price. I’m also bitter because they refuse to refill your pan chan more than once. The $ 20 kal bi should have cost $ 13. Seriously. And what the hell did they do to their jap chae? It was like, strange in a not-good way. Maybe I should have gotten recommendations before venturing out hungry on Geary.
