He got my case dismissed! And my license is only suspended for 4 months due to the DMV hearing. No DUI on my record and ONLY 4 months of suspension! This review is long overdue! I was represented by Nors for a DUI I was facing back in 2013. Unlike many DUI cases, mine was not so cut and dry. The evening that I was arrested, I was on my way home to a small place I was renting in the Oakland hills. On my way home from Oakland and a particularly long day of work I decided to stop in the city of Piedmont for a walk in the little park that sits in the middle of their town square. I was going through some things at the time and for some reason I decided that going to sit in this park and have a drink would ease the sentiment of what I was feeling. I parked my car on a residential street, grabbed the booze I had bought on the way there and walked into the park and started to drink. One thing led to another and before I knew it, I was terribly inebriated. It was nearly midnight and the night air had become quite cold. I stumbled my way back to where I had parked and in my drunken state decided that the best course of action would be to get in my car, turn on the heat, and sleep it off. But due to the bad judgement that often comes with being drunk, I didn’t factor in that I shouldn’t be anywhere near my car while it was running, let alone in the driver seat. Regardless, that’s where I found myself when several hours later I was woken by the Piedmont Police department. They gave me some instructions that involved me putting the car into gear to pull it forward which I would later learn were likely in order to have what is known as «volitional movement» or control of the vehicle to hold against me. I tried to explain the circumstances that led me to the predicament I was in and how I was just sleeping and had not been driving, but it fell on deaf ears. So I was arrested and charged with a DUI.
When I found Nors it was a godsend! Immediately he recognized and acknowledged that my particular circumstances might not warrant «Drunk Driving» charge, particularly because I wasn’t driving at the time of arrest. When I first met in person with Nors, he spent an incredible amount of time talking to me about my situation and possible case, and I hadn’t even given him a retainer. My initial impression of him was that he was definitely the lawyer I wanted on my side to help me through this. This case went on for 13 months. He was absolutely 100% there for me every step of the way. Very, very attentive, always friendly and incredibly knowledgable about the most current DUI laws, the ins and outs of the courts and was not only willing, but eager to help me fight this on the ethical basis of the simple fact that I had not been driving while intoxicated. It was a long and exhausting fight with the prosecutor’s office but we stuck to our guns and eventually were able to get a plea of «Drunk in Public». It was my 2^nd DUI and the evidence was strong. I could only dream that I would end the case scot-​free. Outside of having the case dismissed, I knew what the maximum, typical and best case scenarios were for me. And after negotiations with the DA, Nors was able to get me the best possible sentence.

I have never seen a better DUI lawyer. This guy is the GOD of DUI business. He owns the game and knows his stuff. I had gotten accused of the worst DUI possible with 4x the legal limit with many injury enhancements that would leave me in prison! I was also extremely stressed because I was on formal probation in two other counties at the time and facing a potential probation violation. His fees might be a little high compared to other lawyers taking cases for DUI but you get what you pay for!!!
Other lawyers take on many cases from traffic tickets to murder. They will even take your case when they have barely any experience in that field. NORS mainly focus on what he is best at. DUI! He fought for me aggressively and did not give up. His litigation strategies are very unique and other lawyers will never take it thus far to help keep their clients out of custody! In Oct of 2012 I was charged with my 2^nd DUI offense while up in the San Francisco area vacationing for the weekend. Nors has dealt with, and continues to deal with, a few unfortunate matters in my life. He is by far the most attentive lawyer I’ve dealt with and makes sure to keep me apprised of all the intricacies of my case (s).
Recently, on an expungement, Nors had to argue with a DA and a Judge for the better part of 10 minutes, which is a very long time in court time. The judge spent most of this time citing my shortcomings and truly making me feel like a degenerate, which I’m not, though I understood his standpoint. Despite the judges fervent diatribe against my person, Nors went toe to toe with him, citing numerous precedents and extolling my virtues. By the end, we looked at each other, sure that we had lost, but the judge granted the expungement, in no small part due to Nors’ efforts. By the time we left the courtroom you could hear a pin drop and we were both breaking a sweat from the unexpected battle.
In a nutshell, when you fall on hard times, Nors is who you want in your corner. He is not some big-​box law firm who will outsource your case to god knows where, he is a caring person who understands what you are going through. Nors Davidson is a honorable lawyer who sincerely cares for the people he represents. He took my case, a minor traffic violation, even though he mainly deals with more significant traffic violations.
I was making a left turn off of Taraval onto 19^th Ave. when I was pulled over unlawfully by a cop who accused me of failing to yield to him. This was not true because I gave him plenty of time to proceed through the light as I even waited for a pedestrian to cross the street. He looked like he was a lost tourist who was debating on what direction to take so I decided to go ahead and make the turn.
After pulling me over he asked me why I failed to yield to him and I told him what I had described above and he realized he pulled me over for nothing. He then accused me of being on my cell phone, which I wasn’t, and gave me a ticket for an «unlawful left turn.»
I took my case to Nors, and he intervened for me. Unfortunately, the cop showed up to court but instead of ruling guilty for «unlawful left turn,» they ruled guilty of «unlawful lane blocking,» this reduced my fine significantly and I didn’t have to suffer having a point go on my record and endure through traffic school.
Throughout the duration of my case Nors kept me updated on the progress, reminded me of my court dates and most importantly made me feel like he really cared about my case. He was honest and up front with me about my chances of winning or losing my case and was very professional.
