The Most Interesting Elite Event in the World @ Pedro’s Cantina

Sorry, a little bit late to review my Unilocal Elite Events as usual. These Elite Events have become so hot that you really have to keep a very sharp eye out for those RSVP announcements or else you’re going to miss out and become wait-​listed. So once The Most Interesting Elite Event in the World at Pedro’s Cantina popped up, I immediately jumped on making that RSVP.
The location was across the street from AT&T Park, and since there were no baseball games going on and the fact it was midweek made parking an easy task.
They definitely didn’t skimp on food. I had a generous share of burritos and tacos. The burritos were okay, but they were good enough to satisfy my hunger and fill me up for the night. I was stuffed really. And the pair all that with all you can soak up Jalapeño Margaritas and Dos Equis and we have a winning combo!

It was INDEED «the most interesting elite event in the world»!!! Why? Because our bartender was awesome and had brains! Instead of getting us 6 glasses of margaritas, he got us TWO giant pitchers! Now, that’s my kind of thinking! ;)
It’s always exciting to attend Ruggy’s events, especially at Pedro’s! The staff was awesome! Food was endless! Chips and guac, soft tacos, crispy tacos, burritos, tamales, etc. I had to say «no more!» towards the end. haha I was surrounded by the greatest Unilocalers on earth and I got to talk and meet a few of them! Thanks Ruggy, Pedro’s Unilocal and all the Unilocal staff and servers at Pedro’s for making this event so «interesting»!!!
Unilocal is growing… sideways! haha Sooo many new faces! Welcome! You are all in for a treat this year! Get EXCITED!!!

Now THIS is how you kick off a new year as an Elite. It was nice to see the place not so crowded, as I imagine that’s how it normally is when people stop by before watching a game. Upon entering, my guest and I were informed about the beer and margaritas. My selective hearing shut down momentarily after that, as I didn’t really care about anything else at the time. Scoped the area out, then proceeded to help ourselves to one of the tables with chips, guacamole and salsa. Honestly, I would’ve been fine with just this and the drinks. Once we secured our place for the night, out came the servers with the little bites. The term «little bites» is stretching the truth just a tad. Had myself a tamale, 2 – 3 tacos and a carnitas burrito and I was DONE.
The wandering mustache photo ops were fun too. Unfortunately, the picture I took with my friend didn’t make it to the event gallery. I suppose it was too awesome to post. Eh, it happens!
Thanks again, Ruggy J. for keepin’ it classy. Looking forward to seeing you and more of the Elite at future events.

Half an hour before the party, I was crying. Like, the full on ugly, need ten tissues to wipe the snot and smeared makeup crying. People can hear me outside my apartment crying. I won’t explain why, but believe me, what happened was AWFUL.
I thought about not coming, but my date for the night had already gone home to change and taken the bus back to my apartment. I figured it wouldn’t be healthy to wallow in my tears, so I dabbed on some lipstick and met him in the lobby. I cried to him as we walked to MUNI, telling him about my horrible day. By the time we got to the station, I had composed myself to a decent state and off we went.
Apparently all I need to turn a sh*tty day around are some patron and guacamole. And I guess the temporary tattoos. I tried to get my friend to let me apply the snowflake tattoos all over his arm like a sleeve. He refused and got me another drink.
As for the restaurant, it was much bigger than I expected and I was surprised to see so many televisions. I’ll definitely be back to watch March Madness!
Thanks, Ruggy and team! If it wasn’t for this party, I would have spent the night crying into my pillow. I just did laundry the night before, so what a waste that would’ve been!

Another great event!
I have been to Pedro’s a couple of times to watch sports and for margaritas and knew what to expect. but to get it free is the awesome part :) Great to see Sarah Z. and other familiar Unilocal Elites.
We enjoyed a couple of the jalapeño margaritas and Dos Equis served by the friendly Pedro’s Cantina staff. I had some chips and guac but wasn’t super hungry so I opted against the burritos.

And yet another great Elite Unilocal party, this time hosted at Pedro’s Cantina. It’s great to have a venue like this shutdown for 2 full hours for Elites to get their free eats and drinks. Had the opportunity to sample the menu and have unlimited Dos Equis and jalapeño Patron margaritas.
Pedro’s is a popular spot across the street from the stadium, especially when there are SF Giant games happening. It was always hard to find a seat this past world series season. I was fortunate to be able to attend this event and see this sports bar for what it is and anticipating my next visit back.
1) FOODS — loved it. it was great to see their staff serving mini bites of their menu. although these bites were mini, they were filling. Enjoyed their crunchy tacos, burritos, chicken enchaladas. they had plenty of food for everybody in the venue, i even had to turn away and say ‘no thanks i’m full’
2) DRINKS — tried the complimentary free drinks for the elites. The Jalapeño Patron margarita was tasty, a bit too salty for my palate. Don equis went great with the food. Staying into that mexican themes.
3) VENUE — the venue was very spacious. There’s an upstairs and downstairs and TV’s in all corner and angles. Great place to catch a sports game for sure.
4) ENTERTAINMENT — ooh they had a game called ‘BIG BUCK BANG’ (something like that). we called it THE DUCK HUNT FOR THE REDNECK REPUBLICAN. you have to go there and check it out for yourself. there was table tennis and basketball hoop in the back as well.
It was a well put together party at a great venue that i feel is underrated by the general public. Many thank-​yous go out to the Unilocal staff, especially Ruggy, for hosting this event.

1. Buzzin’s atmosphere: nice tunes, lotsa’ space
2. Ping pong: good friend F.M. and I had fun rallying (I suck at table tennis)…
3. GAMES: mini hoops as well as Wii’s Mario Kart projected on the wall, COOL!
4. Grub-​a-​licious: chips with fresh salsa and guacamole, street style soft tacos (chicken and pork), Cantina burritos (pollo chile rojo, pollo chile verde, machaca beef pork carnitas, pork chile verde)
5. See #4, but multiply by 2 because there was plenty of food to go around
6. Witticism wall was hilarious! (reminiscent of Chuck Norris legends)
7. Big screens everywhere, sports addicts welcomed

Solid event. Super strong patron margaritas — yummy, with a kick of jalapeño. Ubiquitous food — burritos, tacos & tamales!
I only wish I drank one less margarita — a bit of a headache today, oy! ;)

Came with Tim G. as my guest and left knowing Cece C., Sarah Z, Jimmy H, and Sue Y. What a great event! I also popped my tamales’ cherry! O_​O
Spacious and plenty of food to go around. Great event!

The most interesting man in the world believes that «happy hour is the hour after everyone from happy hour has left.» I wouldn’t necessarily agree with him completely because I had a great time at this midweek YEE/​happy hour. Wait a minute… did the real party begin the hour after I left? Darn it.
Pedro’s Cantina is a surprisingly big space. I was expecting a more intimate venue from the outside but instead found a cavernous hall with a long 360 bar. They were great hosts — feeding us with chips & dip, buritos, and tacos, plus keeping us libated with margs and beers. We had the best bartenders so special thanks go well deserved to Amras and Fred for taking such great care of us.
This event felt slightly different — we had tons of space to mingle if you chose to or seats at the bar to relax. It was great to see folks like Jen C. and Ting. All in all, it was quite the perfect escape from work. Thanks Ruggy, Jessica, & everyone at Unilocal,Pedro’s, Patron, and Dos Equis for a great midweek fiesta.

The staff at Pedro’s were awesome! The bartenders quick to make delicious Patron margueritas and the servers circle around to make sure we were able to try all the good stuff! They were generous with the portions and the variety of samples. My favorite has to be the Carnitas tacos.
I will be back soon. for a big plate of nachos!

Sarah C. invited me to this event and it was the first time I have attended a Unilocal event. We came early and met a group of Unilocalers who were great company.
The jalapenos in the margarita are a must have. Try their crunchy carnitas tacos here because they’re the bomb.
Flat screen tv’s are everywhere in this restaurant. If there’s a Giant’s game going on and your place is too small for a large group of friends, come here.

What can I say… another great Unilocal event!
I pretty much say this after every event that I’ve been to at a place I’ve never been before, but in this case I truly mean it when I say this is spot I’ll DEFINITELY come back to!
I really liked the atmosphere at Pedro’s! It’s spacious, clean, and looks to be a great spot to come with a large group of people. Even though I didn’t get a chance to play I’m always a fan of bars that have table tennis, pop-​a-​shot, and/​or hunting arcade games!
As far as things specific to this event… well, I’m always a sucker for a good margarita. When patron is used and it’s a bit spicy that’s an added bonus! I loved all the food I tried, but my favorite (as well as my guest’s favorite) were the crispy tacos! I’m also a big fan of Pedro’s salsa & guac!
Thanks again Ruggy & Jessica for another great event and introducing me to another great place in the city!

The most interesting Unilocal Elite Event in the world indeed. It was nice seeing so many Unilocalers decked out in their suave, sophisticated, and «most interesting» clothes.
This was my first visit to Pedro’s Cantina. Very cool that it’s so close to AT&T Park. It’s a huge venue complete with giant screens, Wii, a ping pong table, and tons of delicious Mexican food, cerveza and tequila!
There was so much food going around. I saw carne asada burritos, tacos, tamales, and tons of stations for chips/​salsa/​guacamole. The food was plentiful. For drinks, Dos Equis and Patron were flowing all night. One highlight for me was the shot of patron I took with super SF CM Ruggy. The CMs work so hard to put these events on, it’s nice to be able to see them just take a moment, have a drink and enjoy it too.
I wish I could have stayed through the end but I had to leave a bit early for a CNY dinner.

I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to get into the event but the Rugster always comes through! There was a lot to eat and drink, from the flowing Patron margaritas and Dos Equis, to the tasty Mexican tapas being passed around. My favorites were the hard-​shelled tacos, tamales, and of course, the guac! I’m so full right now that I can barely stand.
The service was awesome and everybody was so nice. Ruggy did an amazing job and this is why he is the King of all community managers!

Wednesday night, 6:15. After a long day of work (and mostly wasting time and eating cupcakes), I was ready to roll to Pedro’s. I’ve had this bookmarked to try since October, so was thrilled when Unilocal decided to throw their event there!
The venue is open and spacious, though I have a feeling once the Giants season start it will be packed. The bar is huge and there are tables with flat screens all around. I’m liking it already!
Jessica T was lovely as always, even though my name was left off the list. Thanks for trusting me ;) I can still show you my email!
Love the new labels on the swag. Snagged me a sweatband, a mint tin and of course, a brand new Unilocal stick. Keep them coming!
The Pedro’s wait staff and bartenders were awesome. I sat with my +1 at a table by the door, and food just kept coming to us. We never had to wait more than a few at the bar, so the liquor just keeps flowing. The tacos (both soft and crunchy) and the burritos were mighty tasty.
It never got too crowded or rowdy, so the invite list was definitely kept to a good amount.
Good job Ruggy! Can’t wait til the next one: D

…soon! (great timing considering the Giants are getting back into the swing of things with Fan Fest this Saturday and only two months til Opening Day!).

Ruggys Elite Events always RSVP FAST. there usually the Hot E Ticket and this event was no exception. I was wait listed for this event. Then I was jazzed when I got an Email letting me know some folks dropped out and I was in I was Stoked to say the least.
I rolled to the event on Bart a great way to go if you know your going to drink. I arrived at the Montgomery Bart station and Street Hiked to Pedros a short distance away.
I arrived at Pedros and was greeted and name tagged by Bay Area Unilocal CM Queen Bee herself the Lovely and Trendsetting Tiffany. She gave me a great overview of the event. I wandered in and saw Unilocal 3 Lovely Musketeers Cm’s Abby, Jessica and Abby munching on Dinner. Mr Ruggy very stylishly dressed was rolling around the venue doing last minute preparations.
Pedros is a nice open space with a great Open Air feeling with raised beam ceiling and a second floor balcony for additional seating. They have to Projector TVs and numerous LCD TVs for Entertainment or Sporting events.
They also had a Gaming area for amusement.
I rolled up to the Bar and grabbed a Patron Jalapeño Margarita– Delish and a Dos Equips to Chase it with lol. Grabbed a table and Got some Chips and some very delish Guacamole and Salsa and set up shop lol.
Pedros servers then started working the room with tons of Bites like Burritos, Tamales and Tacos. So much food I was turning servers away .
Very tasty offerings. The Liquor was flowing like a waterfall and the Margaritas were nice and strong.
Pedros really rolled out the Red Carpet for the Elites. Great Service.
There were a lot of Interesting and Lovely Women Elites socializing at the event. The Highlight for me was meeting new Elites and hanging with the ones that I knew.
After all Elite Events are Great People, Venues, Food and Drink .
The Mustache Station was a cool feature to goof and around and take photos and we all know Elites like taking pictures.
I would definitely hang at Pedros before, after or during a game.

Usually I can remember the names of new Unilocalers I meet at Unilocal Elite Events, but this event was not one of them, hah! I do recall having a good time and seeing everyone I have not seen for awhile, but that’s about it. I can recall because Pedro’s Cantina bar foods were good and their staff was efficient. Maybe a bit too efficient with the drinks, lol. Truly a most interesting elite event… great event, again, Ruggy, and thanks a bunch Unilocal!

The sports bar is located right across the street from AT&T Park on King Street. The sports bar is a popular hangout for San Francisco Giants’ fan during the baseball season. But on Groundhogs day/​night of 2011, the bar belongs to Unilocal.
We had a bunch of happy hours special (from 6−8pm) with free margaritas, free pints of Dos Equis beer and free shots of Patron Silver Tequila. Tips are optional, if you want great service from the bartenders and staffs.
Food includes Taco, Burritos and Chips and Salsa were also complimentary by the restaurant’s expense.
And with my generous tipping to the deserving bartenders, I received five pints of beer and three hefty shots of tequila. Obviously after all those drinks, I was totally «DRUNK».
I was so drunk that a couple of my favorite Unilocalers kidnapped me and forced me to play table tennis. Being inebriated, I couldn’t hit a lick or focused on the little white ball. Others were complaining about my crappy performance. Okay, I may not be Andy Roddick or a ping-​pong enthusiast like some.
I also played Super Mario Kart on the Nintendo Wii on the projector in front of many Unilocalers as well. I didn’t fair much better on that game either and made a serious fool out of myself.
Despite being wasted, I did have fun from this event. Thanks to Ruggy and surrounding Bay Area Community managers in organizing another fun event.
