The Pacific Firm

I worked with the Pacific Firm recently after returning to the US from working overseas and found them very professional. I would recommend them highly.

If you need to hire one person or ten, call The Pacific Firm. They’re focused, fast, and always deliver the highest quality candidates. They have phenomenal instincts about candidates’ cultural fit.
This is a company that has taken traditional recruiting and turned it on its head. They focus on quality of candidates & speed, and they deliver it all at a very fair price. Much better at communication than most recruiting firms.
The head of the firm, Stacie Blair, is communicative, clear, easy to work with, and focused on the end result: getting you a candidate (or three!) you are happy to hire. She and the firm are well-​networked, meaning that great candidates know them and like to work with them, and all their recruiters have extensive experience.

Your average recruiters have a close rate of 2−7%. The Pacific Firm is an average — below average recruiting firm.
Companies like this play a numbers game. ‘Get in as many resumes as they can and do a shotgun approach’.
In fact, it’s so blatant that the Pacific Firm will even ask about friends in your network while ‘working’ with you.
The number one job of a recruiter is to get to know you and understand the person behind the CV — Pacific Firm works off your CV with little questions about the candidate. This means that they are unable to sell you when going up against other recruiting firms.
Although they leave a good first impression, you soon find that they fail in execution. They forget to follow-​up and update you on anything.
I went from a good candidate to be put forward, to someone with irrelevant experience and not a good fit. The worst part is that they strung me out over 2 weeks.
They have serious time management issues. Recruiters become so backed up with work that they ask you to follow-​up with them. They also forget about anything you attempted to discuss in detail.
Don’t waste your time with them because they will waste your time. And all job hunters know that wasting time is the worst thing you can do when seeking new opportunities.

PS — I love the way they send in their people to write a good reviews after I posted this. At least they tried, even though they were a month late! This company is reactive instead of proactive. Also got an email saying ‘thanks’ from a job seeker. Apparently they dumped him and tried to get his contacts.
