I typically never write a review, but have to leave feedback following my treatment. Devin is wonderful. I tend to steer clear of getting facials due to the sensitivity of my skin, but he did an amazing job. My skin has never felt better, and the products he recommended for me are fabulous. Definitely recommend The Treatment Room.

If you are one of those unlucky sorts who suffer from sebaceous hyperplasia then you’re an in luck unlucky one. Searching high and low all over the Bay for some sort of remedy for such a ghastly affliction led me straight to Devin and his magic wand at The Treatment Room. What is this wand you ask? Well, it’s none other than the Lamprobe and it works a treat. Virtually nothing does work for those nasty little buggars, as you probably well know if you are reading this review, but the Lamprobe helps immensely. After having done much research, I tracked one down to The Treatment Room and found a helpful hand in Devin and had quite a laugh at the same time. He’s a hoot! A right character and a super fun man who can put a positive spin on a not so pleasant experience. Not so pleasant yes, but certainly satisfying indeed as he «vaporizes» the little nasties away and, well, poof! be gone!!! He has a fast and thorough hand and it’s all over before you know it, so it’s really not that bad. Besides, all the other available options have proven much worse and he slathers your face in numbing cream firstly before having at it. So, for anyone who wants a reliable respite from sebaceous hyperplasia then head on over to Devin at The Treatment Room, a cool little spa, easily accessible, with the added bonus of parking out front and a super pleasant receptionist who will feed the meter for you if need be. I traverse the bridge just for this treatment but soon might indulge in some added services as he is such a great guy. They do eventually come back, those ugly suckers, as those who are prone to them are always prone to them, but less and less so. It is a maintenance thing for sure, but I’ve noticed that the time increases between treatments as the time goes on. I feel lucky to have found Devin and his Lamprobe.

Dear Manly Men you live in San Francisco so whether you’re gay or straight know this… you don’t live on Game of Thrones; Winter IS NOT coming so groom that fur coat. I’m not inferring that you should go bald but just do what makes you happy.
Devin is amazing. The facts:
— Manscaping is an artform, it takes time to do and shaving is a daily upkeep.
— Devin is a professional and as odd as this sounds he’s an artist.
— He knows how to frame your Mona Lisa for full display and then you don’t have to think about it for six whole weeks!
— Imagine how much time you’ll save before a first date (third if you’re a gentleman).
— It’s safe and you won’t take a dive trying to contort your body in the right position in the slippery shower.
Pain depends on your tolerance but I won’t sugar coat it, it’s not a massage. Take two Advil before you go and 45 minutes of screaming Kelly Clarkson later you’ll look amazing and feel confidant in your own skin for 6 – 8 weeks. If you’re concerned less about the pain and more about getting naked in awkward positions in front of another man then keep in mind, this is that man’s career. Devin is extremely professional and we just talk the entire time about events coming up this weekend in SF, our favorite video games — regular day-​to-​day stuff.
If that still makes you feel uncomfortable keep in mind Devin see’s all kinds of body types all day long like fat, skinny, muscular, awkward, mangled, smelly, dark, light, etc. That thing you’re worried about baring all in front of him — not to worry. Devin is extremely knowledgeable and probably has a cream to help it.
Please Note: Contrary to popular belief Windex is not a secret serum to get rid of that skin rash from the week before.
If you’re still reading this you should also know that I have physical limitations and this business is 100% ADA compliant. Devin is phenomenal working with my body type — I can’t always get into Downward Facing Dog or Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon form so Devin patiently works around my specific needs.
In conclusion, if you’re already doing this to yourself and you’re tired of keeping it up then I strongly recommend the Treatment Room. After my first session, I was so pleased a bought a package deal to continue this. You won’t regret it!

Devin is a true skin expert/​guru, and he has deep understanding of skincare products, ingredients and all the latest treatment techniques. His great results are immediately apparent and improve even more as expected with time. For the best aesthetics care don’t hesitate to book an appointment here!

I had never had a facial before coming here but if this is what facials are like I’ll be back. It was both really relaxing with the large room, nice table with bedding, and soft music. I thought the owner gave good advice on my skin and took his time to make me feel like I was important. He was generally just really friendly as well. I left feeling great about the service I just had but also more knowledgable about my skin and how to take care of it. My entire day was just better after this visit.

Great facial. Devin was very thorough and detailed. My initial impression of him was a bit off, as he seemed like a «know it all» type of aesthetician, but he proved to be indeed very knowledgeable, recognized all the needs for my skin, and the results were amazing.

Had a facial here and I must say that it was great! I had a lot of build on my face and he took care of that very quick. He made the visit pleasant and when coming out of this place I was very pleased with the service. A+

I highly recommend Devin for facials. I was breaking out very badly and was desperate for a facial and came across Devin on Unilocal.I was so happy I was able to book an appointment with him very quickly online. After three appointments with him my face looks amazing and I love the products that he recommended. I have used more products than I can count to make my acne better and was initially sceptical but glad I followed his advice and used the products he recommended. I just wish I had found Devin earlier!

Best Ever Facial!
I’ve had a consult with Devin, a facial wax and today had an amazing facial! I was surprised by the vigorousness of the massage and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was wonderful, relaxing and I’m surprised I didn’t drool — and my face looked great afterwards! Everything that is written about the Treatment Room is true: consummate professionals, on point, wonderful service and treatment. I highly recommend it!

I’ve had two amazing facials here by Nicky. The best facials I’ve ever had. Even days later, my skin still looks great! My dark spots are visibly lighter after just one treatment, and my normally dry skin feels hydrated and smooth. I love the products they use (Rhonda Allison) — super impressed by the quality and their results at a reasonable cost.

This is my 2^nd time visiting The Treatment Room. Each time I receive amazing service from Devon. He is so professional and dedicate to the work. I have eczema for many years and Devon suggests to me a solution. He put it on for me and the redness had reduced immediately. In addition, the price is reasonable. It won’t kill your wallet. I definitely will come back. Highly recommended

I would rate The Treatment Room 5 out of 5 stars because of the customer service, excellence in skin care and the ambiance of the spa itself.
Small and tucked between a few local businesses on Sutter right off of Polk, sits The Treatment Room. When you walk in you see high ceilings, wooden floors, everything is modern, clean and tidy.
All of the staff has been amazing. You’re greeted with a refreshment as you walk in.
The facials and waxing are above and beyond satisfactory. The staff really wants to get to know what the client is looking to get out of the treatment.
Finally, the owner has created his own skin care line. The products work wonders and the staff are truly skin care experts.

Worst Brazilian wax I’ve ever had. This girl did not know what the hell she was doing. She applied 3 layers of wax over the same spots because she couldn’t figure out how to get it the right temperature to rip off. It took her 45 minutes!!! And she kept asking questions about if I wanted the inner hair removed, the backside. Do you know what a Brazilian is??? And the worst part is, I got home and realized, she’d still left so many spots untouched! Maybe I was her first client, or maybe this place only has good reviews for men and facials. But she was awful, unprofessional, slow, and generally terrible. Worst wax of my life. At least it was a living social deal.

After waking up one morning and realizing that I only have 4 months until I walk down the aisle, I knew I needed help for my acne flare ups. I did a bit of digging on Unilocal and stumbled upon The Treatment Room, I read through the outstanding reviews and felt with this many people finding salvation for their adult acne; then I too should give it a shot. I was able to make an appointment on their website for the following day, which is rare and extremely helpful!
Their store front is rather small but don’t let that fool you, it’s truly spacious in side with a tranquil ambiance. I was welcomed with smiles and offered water, and only waited a few minutes before Devin met with me. Right off the bat I noticed how knowledgeable Devin was in regards to different skin ailments and skin tones. He assured me he would do everything in his power to make my skin glow for the big day. I left with a skin regimen to follow 2x a day along with a follow up appointment for a corrective facial.
So far I’ve been dedicated to the steps it takes to clear my problem skin, and I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. Devin and his team are wonderful and I truly recommend them!

Went here with the assistance of a living social deal for a facial. This place was FANTASTIC. They use great products, the staff are great and even though I went on a discount the regular prices are really average or below average. Scheduling was very easy and they give you a 15% discount if you book your next appointment while you are there. Definitely recommend!

I had an awesome awesome experience (yup, so good I need to say «awesome» twice). I’m so glad I purchased the LivingSocial deal for a Corrective Peel — best facial of my life.
The aesthetician definitely knew what she was doing and was super friendly. She actually taught me some things about my own skin! Who knew Asian skin is more sensitive than most and requires more diluted chemicals? Well, she did! Thank goodness for that because I actually thought my skin was more resilient that most. If she hadn’t known her stuff, I would’ve walked out of there with a chemical burn and not a chemical peel! Also of note was the very relaxing head and neck massage given during the facial… total bliss!
I’m just sad I didn’t find this place sooner to squeeze in a few more facials before moving halfway across the country.

I went to for a 60 minute facial here back in January — I had several pimples and after one treatment they were gone. I loved the service, Devin sits down with you before your facial to go over everything and analysis your skin to see what is needed and customizes the facial for you. My skin was glowing and clear and those pimples never came back and that was only after one treatment.
I went back for facial just 2 weeks ago and the next day my friend noticed my skin and was asking about it so i recommended her to Devin — she immediately made an appt with him and went to him just last week. She also really liked the facial.
I actually drive from the Tri Valley to SF for the facial but its definitely worth it — I love how the facials are customized and I always notice a huge difference in my skin.
Overall I do recommend Devin — he is amazing at what he does and is very knowledgable.

I have problem skin. Psoriasis, dermatitis, rosacea and sensitivity to gluten. I had completely given up on ever being able to wash my face again without stinging, redness and little pimple like hives forming all over. So much for good looking skin. I am such a skeptic and didn’t believe that there were any real options out there for me.
Thank you thank you thank you Nicky Townsend for saving my skin! I received my first ever progressive peel under her skilled hands and went home with some seriously amazing products. I experienced absolutely zero down time and the very same day that I received my chemical peel, people couldn’t stop telling me how great my skin looked.
Rhonda Allison products work, my skin responds very well to them and they smell wonderful. When I cleanse with Rhonda Allison’s cleansing milk my skin not only feels comfortably clean, it actually feels stronger. My mom who also has rosacea has become a Rhonda Allison convert. She loves the rosacea serum, which dramatically changed the visible texture and color of her skin in less than one month.
I highly recommend Nicky and Rhonda Allison products. You will not be disappointed.

The treatment room has left no detail to waste. Its beautifully designed interior and friendly staff prepare you for an absolutely amazing treatment. Devin has got to be one of the most educated, yet approachable estheticians in the sf/​bay area.
Try the peels! Not just for your face, but amazing results for your hands too!
I wouldn’t go anywhere else, worth every penny and then some.

I wanted to come here but after asking a question on a basic service, I got an email answer but couldn’t pin down a more definitive price range. As you can see, the prices aren’t located on the menu on their website but is part of the reservation system so you can’t see the price until you book a service! I was told that the «base» price is 50 dollars for the lam probe and Devin didn’t offer me any more information beyond that baseline price per my request. Wow. Sad customer service.: (
I’m going somewhere else where there is more transparency on prices!
