I was a candidate for a great position here. Although I didn’t end up working at ThoughtMatrix, I was incredibly impressed by everything that I saw and heard through the interview process. I have a good deal of agency experience, and ThoughtMatrix is smart about balancing what clients need vs. what they want to deliver the results they’re looking for.
Everyone I encountered was incredibly intelligent and focused on strategy, instead of just designing something that looks cool. Everyone is senior-​level, so the process seems to be very ironed out. The C+ techies at ThoughtMatrix are adept at running up huge bills while producing marginal results. We could never get the person who worked on our small business computer network to ever produce proper documentation — only pages of hand scribbled notes that were almost illegible, and therefore mostly useless. Nor could we ever get a coherent, workable backup strategy or plan — we always seemed to be just treading water, never really moving forward on anything. It was a very frustrating, expensive experience.
