Specialties
Three Twins makes inconceivably delicious organic ice cream. By sourcing milk and cream from within 17 miles of our California factory, and carefully mixing and freezing each batch to ensure a smooth texture, we dish up extraordinarily fresh and tasty flavors. Making great ice cream isn’t a costing exercise for us, so we make our recipes based on what will deliver the best flavor — not by trying to arrive at the lowest cost. Our vanilla is richer, our chocolate is bolder and our coffee is more intense than most. We think you’ll love the results!
Our ice cream incorporates fresh, organic ingredients. We start with a simple base of milk, cream, sugar and eggs, sweeten it with evaporated cane juice and stir in other delicious ingredients for a tasty finish. What we don’t put in is just as important and what we do put in. Our ice cream does not include the artificial colorings, flavors and stabilizers common in conventional and some organic brands. No corn syrup or seaweed derivatives here!
History
Established in 2005.
Three Twins founder Neal Gottlieb started the company with the goal of making organic ice cream accessible and affordable to all. Since the first scoop shop opened in 2005 in San Rafael, Ca., the brand has been picked up by approximately 1,000 specialty and conventional grocers, corner markets and restaurants throughout the United States. We now have six S.F. Bay Area scoop shops in San Francisco, Marin, and Napa counties including one at the San Francisco Airport.
Meet the Manager
Troy G.
Manager
Troy’s family has been working in the dairy business since 1949. His father managed a successful restaurant/creamery in the East Bay until retiring in 1979. Troy actually managed that same restaurant/creamery plus another S.F. Bay Area location for that same company before being introduced to Three Twins Ice Cream. «It was love at first scoop. I researched the company and liked their story. Joining the Three Twins family was an easy decision for me and one of the best decisions I have ever made. Helping a young and rapidly growing organic ice cream company is a fun challenge that I enjoy every day.»
