History
Established in 1997.
Tiny Telephone was opened in September of 1997 to provide affordable hi-fi recording to San Francisco’s independent music community. Inside you’ll find a discrete Neve 5316 and a Studer 827, one of the finest 24-track recorders ever made. We also have a Hammond B3 with a Leslie 122, a tube EMT plate, 1904 Steinway grand piano, and tons of microphones. We’re right in the Mission in a gated, private compound with easy parking. The studio is about 1700 sq. ft., with an isolation room, two rock-solid amp lockers, and a Bob Hodas-tuned control room.
