This place just reopened March 2014 and is a much needed addition to the neighborhood. There are not many restaurants around and it is usually hard to find a great places to eat. I usually have to drive across town. I am glad to finally have a place that I can go to that is quick, has great service, and great food. It is a little dark inside and there is not much seating, but they more than make up for it with their food. I ordered«turkey chops», which are like pork chops but made from turkey, mac and cheese, and green. The turkey chops were moist, tender and lighted breaded. The greens were surprisingly tender, which is often hard to do. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. They really make you feel like you are apart of the family. The prices are also affordable and Fair. I would highly recommend this place. I look forward to coming back and ordering more delicious food.

I actually like this place because it looks like a mom and pop shop. Service is great and they can make it for you for pick up at a later time. People are nice. But the burger takes forever. But hey I don’t mind. I have all the time in the world on the weekend. So why didn’t I give it a five star. It takes forever… And two the hours of operation suck. They are open way later than what they should be open and i stop by there several times and they are still just getting ready. I love your garlic fries but I don’t love your hours.

It’s nice to have a gourmet burger place in Visitation Valley finally. Their prices are affordable and the burgers are awesome with a very unique African menu. The only issue is they are never open, they don’t stick to a certain schedule hours of operation. I crave V2 on occasion but their business is closed during normal business hours. I know they have a catering truck business but they need to man the restaurant.

This place is clearly still a work in progress. I guess it’s also the spot where the V2 food truck works out of so it has a very working kitchen type of feel to it. And based on the menu in the restaurant itself, they offer way more in the food truck than in the store itself re: the menu is really small. First of all it is in the middle of a narrow suburban street with only a few storefronts. Once you find a spot, and go inside the first thing you notice about this place is that it doesn’t smell like an average burger place. Instead of fries and sizzling meat you get hit with exotic spices from Ethiopia. That I loved, and I was hoping there might be some Ethiopian influenced burgers on the menu. The menu was pretty small though, bigger than In N Out, but not by much. The thing that really stood out on the menu was the African Fries, which is essentially animal style fries but instead of the special sauce they use Berbere mayo. But those I’ll save for another day if i ever go back. I got the V2 Burger combo, a burger, fries and a canned drink. The burger was tasty to be sure, but nothing spectacular. Chances are you don’t have to drive to Visitacion Valley for a burger like this. The fries came out way after the burger, and that was a little annoying, and there are no ketchup or mustard bottles on the table or readily available napkins for that matter. Instead I asked to try the Berbere mayo, which is essentially sweet Berbere seasoning mixed with plain mayo. It wan’t amazing, but it was the only thing that made this place stand out. If they were smart they would offer this on the menu or even make it a separate type of «Ethiopian» burger. Drink selection was also kind of small. Portion size was reasonable for the $ 10 you’ll pay for the combo. Certainly better quality than In N Out, but aside from the Berbere mayo, which they really need to start promoting more, there is really nothing to write home about. Two stars because of the tasty and well seasoned food, and another star for the potential this place clearly has. Ambiance and uniqueness are really lacking though.

New spot in the neighborhood and i had to try it out. This place used to be Two Jacks Seafood, but now it’s V2 Burger. It’s a small place, renovated and new paint job. The menu is just the typical burger stuff nothing fancy. I first came to this place to try their Garlic fries. It was $ 3.50 and it’s a one size only deal. The fries were alright, i have tasted better. They gave an ok amount of garlic with some dried parsley leaves. The portion seems to be small for that price but i wanted to try it out to see how it was. Then today i tried their main item… BURGERS… I order the V2 Combo. It consists of 2(½) lb fresh & natural beef with French fries and a soda. The soda choice is from Diet Coke to Coke and they also have San Pellegrino Limonata or Aranciata. I wanted the Aranciata, but they didn’t have it so i went with the Limonata. The burger was mediocre, nothing special. It seems to be dry and lacks flavor. It was a big burger ½ lb. of beef is a lot and French fries? So full! The place is still renovating, like still putting up their menu etc… Overall, this place is nice to have if i am desperate for food and lazy to go get something farther away. The burgers need some work, more flavor or more different types of burgers or specialty burgers. The place is nice and clean but lacks table /chairs. **cash only*** **parking** Street parking and feed the meter no more free parking 2013! Residential parking!
