Value Electrical Construction

Val was fantastic. My decorator brought him in. He went all through my townhouse and recommended what I should do. He was absolutely right. We made a few modifications but all and all it was just what was needed. I never dreamt I could get a lighting designer in an electrician. The work was excellent and they cleaned up professionally. Yes, Val shows up late but does show up. Like many contractors he must be juggling many jobs. He did call and keep me posted. If you use him, just plan on it. His bids and add ons were priced very fairly.

I recently used Value Electrical to install some track lighting. Val came HIGHLY recommended by a real estate agent who uses him exclusively. Val is very nice, provided me with a reasonable estimate, showed up on time and the lighting looks GREAT! Val is smart, KNOWLEDGEABLE about lighting, easy to work with, and I definitely recommend him!

I had a power outage at my house which was kind of scary. A cable had melted up against my circuit box and sparks were flying every time we tried to move it. We called Val who was out there in a few hours. He diagnosed that we had uneven power coming from the pole to our house — 200v on one and 40 on the other. He advised us to call PG & E ASAP and tell them the problem. Within a few more hours, PG & E had come and repaired the line.
To recap, Val made time in his day, drove to Brisbane, diagnosed the problem, told us how to get it fixed and told us to contact him later about upgrading the electrical panel in our house. He left his card and didn’t charge us for the visit. His card is posted on our refrigerator and he will be the first guy I call next time I need or want electrical work done.

Value Electrical installed a huge lighting fixture on my 20′ ceilings. They had all of the right equipment and brought enough people to get the job done. They were incredibly helpful, polite, and communicative. They were even happy to do a few other jobs around my apartment. They had extremely reasonable prices — much better than other quotes I got. I would absolutely hire them again for a big or small job!

Contacted Val for some work– which I had a hard time explaining what the problem was– he was very patient and took the time to explain what was wrong, what caused the problem and what the repair involved.
He called me to check if he could come early and was 100% professional. I would have to say that he has been the easiest to to work with Electrician that I have dealt with in San Francisco– and we have had to deal with quite a few.
We are going to use him for additional work and in house.

Called me back like 5 days later. By that time another electrical contractor had already done the work.

He made an excellent Job, they are professional, honest and reliable. I do recommend this people

Val has been our go to electrician for the last few years. Over the years he has installed ceiling fans (in our 15 foot ceilings no less), installed new fixtures, converted my plugs to 4 prong, etc. I think he has touched every single fixture in our house. Everytime he works with us, he is on time, responsive to my concerns, and is so calm and collected even when I am a panicked mess (we recently had a really tight timeline and he dealt with it easily). I can’t recommend him enough!

Up one star for actually showing up to our third appointment (albeit an hour late) and up another star for appearing to be a really nice & knowledgable guy when I got to meet him, but down a star again for being a week late (and still waiting) in sending me a quote for the work we discussed and (still) not responding to e-​mail.
I don’t want to be harsh and I really did like his friendly demeanor and willingness to spend time with me going through my project and giving advice on it, but reliability and being able to move forward in a reasonably timely manner is very important too.

I called Val on a Sunday morning (and he answered!!!) and he was very helpful. I explained my problem and he said it was most likely a PG&E issue. He was right! Thanks Val!

We recently bought a new chandelier and it was recommended to get a professional electrician to install it so of course I went to Unilocal to find a good one and I’m glad I went with Val. He was super friendly and while he showed up a bit later than I had expected, he was very efficient in installing our chandelier along with a dimmer (which he suggested) and it turned out great. I would definitely use Val again and recommend him to anyone looking to get some electrical work done.

Val is just great. I am going through remodeling of the condo and had many issues with the contractor… so when I unearthed another issue with my power; i decided to look for help on Unilocal.Val was quick to respond and able to squeeze in a time slot to look at my issue. He was on time, fast, professional according to my husband (since I have to be at work)…and with my husband’s permission, we are giving him a 5 star! — And you should hear what my husband has to say abt the other contractor, so for him to say Val is worth 5 star. you gotta know it’s true — Thanks Val !

It’s true as other people say! Val is really nice and helpful person! We asked for a free estimate for the light in the kitchen. I expected that he wouldn’t do much becuase it was free, but he did a thorough eximination and found it was the light bulb’s problem. He could have just told us it wasn’t an electrical problem and left us with a question we needed to figure out ourselves. Moreover, because our disposer was broken too and we didn’t know the reason, we asked if he could check it too. He agreed and helped us find out it was the machine itself not working, when his parking time had only 1 min left. He helped us to the last minute and risked being fined up to 60 dollars or more, even when he knew the service could gain him nothing more than reputation. If a free service can have such quality, I’m sure the charge services will be as reliable as one can imagine. Thank you Val!

We got off to a rocky start but it ended up being great. We had called Val last week and asked him to come out to put up a fan and switch a couple switches. He stated he could come Thursday and get it all done but after he didn’t show up Thursday morning or at 11 when he said he would be here, we called. He did call us back around 2 and said he had our number down wrong and apologized and said he would be here at 4 30. He did show up around 5 30, so at least he showed but he didn’t come to do the work, so I was a little worried, as we had waited for him all day with nothing to show.
He stated he would be back Friday morning with one of his guys and they would get it all done. He was supposed to come at 8 but didn’t show until 9 but, again, he seemed competent and all of the amazing reviews kept me going.
Once he came in, his guy and him were very pleasant and so professional. They asked all of the questions they needed to and didn’t do work with out my approval. He gave us a quote that he actually stuck to. I am a bit of a neat freak and they put plastic up everywhere and kept the mess to a small area, no dents or paint scratches… You wouldn’t know they were here if they hadn’t left cut holes from the wiring (but we knew these were going to be there, since Val let us know about a guy who could come patch for us)… They did minimal amount of cuts and left no mess on the floor or surrounding furniture.
I will use these guys for work in the future. Val and his guy (I apologize for not knowing his name) were absolutely sweet and so professional. The work looks solid and I am excited that this was done relatively inexpensively but done well.

I needed a ceiling light fixture installed. I went online and requested quotes on
. Val called me within 2 minutes with a quote (cheaper than I expected). Competing electricians took days to get back to me.
Val agreed to come early to work around my schedule. He installed the fixture perfectly, kept to his quote and even cleaned up after mess that I made trying to do it myself.

Look no further than Val! I solicited bids from three top Unilocal rated electricians. Val was the ONLY one I would even consider for several reasons. First, he returned my call within an hour (one of the other electricians returned my call after ten days and several follow up phone calls later). Second, he came to the bid prepared. He had laser measuring devices, took thorough notes, drew pictures and talked through every detail with me to ensure he understood what I wanted (none of the other electricians did this– they simply eyed everything and took minimal notes). Finally, his bid was $ 300 cheaper than the nearest competitor.
The quality of his work was amazing. He did exactly what I asked, he was extremely efficient and did an excellent job of cleaning up after. We’ve already got another project lined up for him! On top of all of this, Val and his assistant are two of the nicest guys I’ve ever met and it felt like having friends over for the day.

Val has been our exclusive «go to guy» for electric (and occasionally plumbing) at my place of employment and he’s tops! Knowledgeable, efficient, timely and affordable. Just met with him today on a quote for one of two apt. buildings I manage. Just the nicest guy!!!

I decided to put my fate in the hands of past Unilocalers and trust that the 5 star rating meant absolute excellence. They were right, Val is fantastic!!! He was prompt, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He installed a new chandelier, 2 circuit breakers, and some other odds and ends. When I got the bill I was shocked by the low price. It was one of those, «did you forget a zero?» moments. I ended up throwing in a tip. Honestly, when was the last time you tipped your electrician because you thought they under-​charged you? I would definitely hire Val again and recommend him to all of my friends and family.

Value Electric (Val) is the BEST! If you are looking for an honest, always-​there-​when-​you-​need-​him, trustworthy, respectful electrician then call Val. Not only have I used him on numerious occassions, friends, family members, and clients have also had the pleasure of working with him. I have been using/​referring Val for the past 4+ years and not one person has ever had anything negative to say about him or his team!
Being a real estate agent, having the best people on my referral list is expected.
