Really disappointed with the initial interaction here! I called to schedule an appointment and review some information. I was quoted 750 for tax prep and meeting plus additional cost for any home office freelance work I might have. I’m happy to pay for quality, that philosophy is carried across all areas of my life, but when paying top dollar I like to know what I’m getting. When I asked her (in a very polite way) to let me know what makes her services better than the average 2 – 300 range she just said «I’m not average» still wanting to possibly go forward I again tried to find common ground asking in what’s ways she could be of service, she just said she’s probably too advanced for what I need (haven even discussed income details or levels of need) and then said Thanks, and ended the call. I’m disappointed with the lack of trust she was able to provide for a serious potential client. Sad.

Nancy Van Horn is not your typical accountant. Her knowledgeable, creative and kind demeanor puts her in a league of her own. Every client I’ve referred to her has thanked me. She’s the one! Call her.

Nancy is awesome. She has a sense of humor and is unflappable. She’s been helping us (myself, my boyfriend) for 8 or so years. She’s helped us through all sorts of different times, from lean to flush and various arrangements of who’s supporting whom.
My taxes were pretty simple until I started a small business. Then I was like, AHHH I NEED HELPS!!!1 and Nancy was there for me with information about registering and paying sales tax. She works a lot with computer geeks as well. As a computer consultant my boyfriend got himself into a bit of a mess by not paying his estimates correctly. Nancy helped him clear it up. She’s also great at answering questions like, «Can we write off the purchase of an XBOX 360?»
