W-​K Market had groceries, snacks, all neatly organized, sodas, beers, mostly priced. long aisles, just 2 lanes. narrow store. showed clerk my burrito bag as i entered. asked?: «did i need to check it in?» «no» he responded. i proceeded to peruse the spirits. in and out in minutes. (most times beat the meter).

For what it’s worth, W-​K does generally seem to have the lowest booze prices of any bodega on this stretch of 24th. Several mostly drinkable sub-​$ 5 wine options (better than showing up with a bottle of Chuck), $ 4 André (good for mimosas), and there’s usually some decent liquor special.
