I had an unpleasant experience after being a customer here for years. On this occasion, I was attempting to break off two or three bananas from a larger bunch when a very short woman behind the register yelled at me to stop and not do that again. This after doing so at this market for years.
Now I no longer stop there to buy my bananas. And as long as I’m walking by on my way to another produce market, I don’t stop in to buy apples, mangoes, grapes, persimmons or oranges either.
Two stars grudgingly given for a wide selection of produce, as I recall, and for staying open later than most other produce markets.

Chicken for $ 2/​LB. Seriously insane deal right there. You can cook a super nice meal for 2, with seconds and thirds, with all the vegetable trimmings, for about $ 6. An almost indefeasible price!

This review is for the dry goods section. I’d peruse the aisles of asian snacks and instant noodles when in the area. The merchandise is not that impressive to me, but the workers/​owners here are just so much fun and totally make my day! The guy danced to Britney Spears while ringing me up.
