Wet Seal

I understand the quality of their products aren’t the best but I still shop here when I am looking for a cheap last minute outfit just due to the vast selection. At such low price points I shouldn’t have expected much out of the customer service but this staff was ridiculous.
The whole time I was shopping the staff was in and out of the fitting room trying on clothes for themselves. This included the male and female associates. It was unfortunate because they are too busy laughing and having a good time than working.
There is so much that can be done to make the store better. Rather than being paid to try on clothes they could maybe organize the racks a bit. There were so many clothing items hanging off their hangers or lying on the floor. Something as simple as organizing one rack or shelf can really make a difference in the store appearance and a customer’s shopping experience.

Did not like the customer service. The guy working this morning was not helpful at all. I asked if they had an item in a different size, but he said that whatever they have on the rack is all they have.
Bullshit. And if not, why not just humor me and at least pretend to check for my size. Most often than not, when they say «oh, that’s all we have» it usually means, «oh, I’m tired, and it’s morning, and I don’t feel like checking for 2 minutes to see if we have your size» Other things that bothered me about the workers are what most people already said: unprofessional, rude, unhelpful, uninterested, and just not pleasant to be around.
The only redeeming factor ARE the clothes, not the employees.

Rarely are employees are professional in this store; here’s something that I had to experience:
Once I walked in front of an employee to ask her to help me take a shirt down from a high rack. (Yes, a lot of clothing are hard to reach.) Before I could speak, her friend (who wasn’t an employee) started talking to her. The employee noticed me, but didn’t ask if I needed help; she continued talking with her friend. After three minutes of waiting, I had to ask, «Excuse me?» Did the employee turn around? No. She continued talking with her friend for a minute, then with an annoyed look, asked me, «Yes?» She looked as if I interrupted her conversation. Really now? Is she getting paid to work there?
I experienced similar cases before, unfortunately. There are a few helpful workers, but the number of unprofessional workers outweigh the number of good employees. blech.
The prices are decent (~$ 30-​$ 40 for jackets, $ 15-​$ 25 for tops). The clothes are okay. Wet Seal tries to keep up with trends. (Note that there is only female clothing in the store.) In terms of organization, however, Wet Seal is lacking. It’s impossible to find clothes easily. You have to search through the whole store as if Wet Seal; it’s almost as bad as shopping at Ross.
meh. I’d suggest you take a look at Forever 21 (which is across the street) before going to Wet Seal. Forever 21 has better clothing prices and a wider variety of clothes.

Worst customer service ever. Rude and un-​professional.
I guess you wet seal employees don’t get paid enough. How else could you be so impeccably rude?
But then again, what do I expect from high schoolers working part time at a store that sells cheap ass clothes? Never again. I’m calling corporate on your a**es.

If you’re not ready to make the laundry plunge this week, but are in dire need of underwear and bras — just head to Wet Seal.
Four pairs of underwear for 12 dollars.
Bandeau bras for just five dollars.
And if you’re on the look-​out for some casual lounge wear for all of the movie watching you’ll be doing this rainy weekend — just stock up here. Long tye-​dye ribbed tank-​tops and cotton leggings. Each priced well under ten dollars.

I was on a search for a very last minute Halloween costume.
The good: $ 15 costumes.
The bad: let’s start…
All the costumes where in the wrong size package. I was looking for anything in size small and was happy when I found several of them. However when I got to the fitting room, one of them was a size extra large and another was large. Now why in the world would I get a L and XL if I can even fit a medium? So out the fitting room I go and back to the costume rack to discover they put their costumes back in any package, as long as it’s the same costume. They didn’t care about the size details.
There’s two guys working here. While I was waiting in line for the fitting room, some girl was trying on different Halloween costumes. She came out and started checking herself in the mirror. (For some reason, both guys came back at the same time…) Then she asked them «do I look fat?». In which one of the guy replied with, «no. seriously, I noticed your boobs first.» Interesting.

Can you review a place and say you hate everything they sell?
No?
Hmm. Okay lets nicely word this… I walked in thinking I would find something… anything that would work in a club environment. I’m thinking tiny black skirts, tiny black shirts… if it’s tiny and black… yea, that basically works. And what did I find? Not a thing.
Seriously, not a single thing in this store caught my eye.
It was all very plaid boho, summers at the beach, blonde people playing pool. Not an edgy style in the bunch.
I’m sorry, but I like my cheap, poorly made crap a little less country and a lot more Hot Topic. Preferably being sold to me by long haired incredibly cute goth emo boys.

Thats right, I’ve shopped here and it was recently. Don’t you judge me…
So I came in looking for a short black skirt for my bachelorette party. I came out with just that, and only $ 15!
Everything in between was pretty horrible including the employees at the register and the dirty dressing rooms. Luckily finding the previous mentioned short black skirt took less than 15 mins. Desperate times people!

I’ve never actually purchased anything here, well because the clothes are REALLY small and I’m REALLY not and it feels wrong being a grown woman. I do however think I’d buy random staple pieces if I somehow I got trapped here by an earthquake or natural disaster (don’t ask me how). We came in here because Forever21 was just too far and it was too late to run over there, so we figure — Wet Seat! Same cheap concept, just less selection and a little more ghetto fab. Remember Contempo Casual and how cool Cher thought it was? I always wondered how she could shop there.
ANYWAY, so we came in and we saw some very darling trendy pieces — ones perfect for just a night out or to mix in with other pieces we already owned. The banded skirt is super in right now (a la herve leger) which my girlfriend instantly snagged for her bachelorette party. It was surprisingly well made for a 15 dollar skirt, the pattern even went all the way around the skirt which is usually rare for cheap girl’s clothing. I also liked the inexpensive leggings and t-​shirts. The pleather made me a little itchy though, I may be allergic to cheap.
All in all everything was fine, I adore the skirt my pal got and nobody really offended me too much. There were two people working this evening who looked like they wanted to die, but hey retail sucks. Also, its wet seal, at 7 bucks an hour you’d probably want to die too. So suck it up, find a dressing room yourself, try on the 10 dollar tops and get the hell out of there before anyone sees! If you want great service, go to Neimans where the staff is paid on commission.

Hmm, it seems to me that Wet Seal has grown up. Gone are the graphic tees with lame messages, ripped-​into-​oblivion jeans, and too-​short dresses (well, okay, they still carry some). Instead, they’re starting to carry appropriate dresses, put their jeans and basic tanks on sale for cheap, and supplying us with decent sweaters, jackets, leggings, blouses, shirts, and prices. Oh, and customer service has remarkably improved.

I know someone who works here or used to work here (I have no idea), so I feel a little bad that I am pretty much about to bash this place, but… Seriously, fuck this Wet Seal! It carries the same hoodrat tacky shit as the one in Stonestown, but the customer service is way better over there. The girls are way friendlier and much more helpful. They barely seem to have any employees working at this location, and they generally seem miserable, bored and inept. I know it’s a small store so they probably can’t have more than a handful of people working at the same time, but it’s pretty bad when you have to wait forever to be helped in the dressing room and then you have to wait forever for your shit to be rung up, because no one’s behind the register, and no one bothers to ask you if you’re finding everything ok or have found everything ok. I guess in the end they know that teenagers will shop here no matter what, so there’s no need to be a helpful or productive employee.
They get points for apparently storing all sale information at the top of their head and not pushing the Wet Seal card. The Stonestown location is way better, but they push that card like their childrens’ lives depend on it.

I try avoid going to Wet Seal – not my favorite place to shop. But I had store credit from returning an item after Christmas, so I went and bought some $ 1 fingerless gloves on clearance (which have holes in them already from the security tag stuck to them). The lady who rang me up was emotionless. She had to enter in the code for my store credit at least 5 times before she got it right (why didn’t she just swipe it?).
Basically: cheaply-​made clothing AND priced way too high. Employees seem to hate their jobs and could care less about the customer. No cash back or credit returns if you paid with a debit or credit card – you get store credit, which you can’t use online (even though it looks like a gift card).

If I could give them 0 stars, I would…
They were rude and unprofessional. I did call and complained, but they got me so angry over the phone I actually dropped the f bomb… well… but hear me out:
They accused my wife of stealing
(but they were smart enough not to use the word «stealing» so we could not sue them for slandering) because there was a security tag laying on the floor right outside of my wife’s fitting room. They were also banging on the door while my wife was halfway naked and started interrogating my wife. They should not treat people like that before they figure out what was going on, nor did they apologize when they realized my wife was not doing anything except trying on some clothes. The store manager’s excuse was it was my wife’s fault for walking into a dressing room without «supervision,» and that they were extremely busy so no one was able to help out. Why it was our problem? Is it our fault that the store manager was smart enough to only schedule 2 floor staff the day before new year’s eve?
The manager apologized over the phone for any «inconvenience» they have caused, but still insisted on it was my wife’s fault to cause their suspicion. We had never shopped there, and the first time we walked into Wet Seal we were treated like criminals, and we would encourage everyone not to shop at any Wet Seal retail store.

I use to shop here all the time when I was in high school. They always have the latest teen trends, but the quality isn’t that great. I bought a pair of jeans here, which later ripped in the back pocket. The clothes here are really thin. I also remember having to wait long for a fitting room when they have plenty of fitting rooms available. It’s really cramped here. I would rather go to the Wet Seal at Stonestown, considering they have a bigger store and a wider choice of selections.

My kid just turned 13. She shops here.
That might be enough to say … but some of you probably don’t know any 13-​year-​olds. The pre-​teen/​new-​teen shopping ethic:
* Cheap stuff is best
* If it gets a rise out of Mom: yay!!!
* If it’s backless, bright, black and striped, bright AND black striped, or if you are now 40 and owned a version of it at 15, it’s HOTTT
* Super ultra mega basement low-​rise skinny jeans are the S**T
* Belts. Worn around the forehead, like Pocahontas. YES
* Looked at it? Don’t want it? Drop it on the floor
Add some lazy salespeople, put all of this in a blender, and throw the On switch. THAT, my friend, is Wet Seal.
On the upside, my kid has learned to call it «the Hoochie Store», and she *can* get four shirts for about $ 20 here, so whatevs. Toss the Seal another star.

This Wetseal is sucks. I only came here because I saw this dress I really liked online. The only the probably good about it was that they offered 30% discount for Black Friday so I got this top and this dress here for dirt cheap. The place is messy ass hell. The employee’s aren’t really that nice. I asked the male worker to get me this top that was on those top racks and he was like ‘okay’ then after a minute he forgets to get it so I had to ask this lady and I told her that the male worker didn’t get it for me after he ‘okay-​ed’ me and she said that ‘that’s mean’. The stuff is pretty cheap here, but they do not have any nice things [period] Go to Forever 21.

TSADA: How much is this sweater?
WET SEAL EMPLOYEE: Which one?
T: This one. You know, the itchy acrylic one with the big, thick, purple and black horizontal stripes? The one that is cheaply made by Chinese orphans and smells like a combination of polyurethane, despair, and five-​spice powder?
WSE: Oh, THAT one!
T: You know, I don’t normally like to shop when I have PMS like I do today, as I often make decisions which are not well thought-​out… but I think that sweater is HOT!
WSE: Oh, you’re right! It’s TOTALLY HOT! And it’s on sale! Fifteen dollars!
T: WOW!
WSE: OmigodiKNOW!!! And guess what?
T: WHAT?!
WSE: IT COMES WITH ITS OWN PAIR OF LEGWARMERS!!!
*both hold hands tightly and squeal in unison*
Needless to say, I bought it.
A few days later, I wore it to dinner with a group of Unilocalers.

What happened to you Wet Seal!!!
You use to be the go to spot… but i guess that was many years ago when i was 15… i suppose i have moved on to better things… but i’ll stay true to you for the little things.
All i wanted was some leg warmers… i wasnt about to spend $ 20 on some from Nordies… or $ 15 from Aldo accessories… so i decided to give this place a try… lo n’ behold…$ 8.50!!! This place is worth it if you’re trying to buy something that’ll go out of style next month
Its stocked with way too many clothes… the workers arent attentive because they’re too busy getting hit on by the security guards… but…still worth it

Well it didn’t set much of an ambiance for my first (and last) trip into Wet Seal.
The store is overrun with middle school/​junior high girls. This is generally not a problem, but the store is tiny, it is stuffy, and the music officially sucks.
There are clothes strewn all over, and the employees are standing around talking to each other.
The clothes are cheap, and I mean cheap cheap. As in worse than Forever 21 cheap.
Itchy, ill-​fitting, you name it.
And why can you never find the clothes they put on the mannequins?

Quality = not the greatest
Neatness of the store = NADA (and everything is so jam-​packed together)
Customer Service = mediocre
Pricing = pretty damn cheap (but I would purchase very few items from here)
This is like one of my last resorts of if I’m super broke. And this location is ALWAYS messy. ALWAYS.
