The staff is nice but this is not really a nice place. They have all kinds of drinks but the wine selection is poor. This liquor store doesn’t stand out from the rest in the neighborhood.

Woerner’s is proabably the cleanest(liquor) store in the tenderloin.(haven’t check them all but seen the drifters hanging out at the other places). small amount of microbrews. six packs more abundant. some selling 6/8.99. not all priced. usual mexican ice bars, hard liquors, wines, snacks, cigs available. nothing stood out so got a lotto tic.(cashier seem happy to sell it.)

Fairly priced tall boys, smiles at the register, and the only liquor store between brunch and pride. works for me!

Best liquor store in the city and I live right next to it. $ 6 for a pack of camel lights(which is a steal in sf) and $ 1.50 tall cans of budweiser. Everyone here is super nice and they take credit card and EBT! I come here on a daily basis and do my best to exclusively use Woerner’s for my liquor needs

In the corner of Geary and Larkin, but yet I feel very safe going into this liquor store even though there different people(homeless, drug dealers, prostitutes, alcoholics, addicts — you name it…) just«hanging out» right outside. It’s typical to see regulars come in to buy their poison of the day — counting their pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters… They have frozen foods, ice-cream bars, basic bathroom needs, dirty magazines, cigarettes(cloves, baby!), various beverages including beers, wine, soda and even SMART h2o! There’s also an ATM machine inside. The people that work here are awesome! Very friendly and also up for small talk every time I come in :-)! I would like to meet Mr. Woerner/Miss Woerner sometime or even just know where the liquor store got its name. I do not think it’s owned by the older Asian couple that runs it, but perhaps… I need to find out!

Ah I love this place. They are always nice They know me and my friends by name I have been into that store in several conditions and they are always patient even laughing along with me when I dropped my bottle of B&J on the floor and then proceeded to pick it up and drink from it. I have to give the credit for dealing with the corner crazies. They have cool lighters too

My local liquor estab. Very friendly staff — though perhaps the reason they are so nice to me is simply because I bathe a little more often than the stanky, haggling drunks and crackheads who frequently make this corner, shall we say, «less than touristy.» Me? I buy milk, soda, and snacks here.(Okay, I also occasionally buy an OE800 forty or a bottle of nastastic Cisco… so sue me.) Decent prices. A killer neon sign outside. And how many ghetto liquor stores actually sell liters of generic vodka with their own name on the label? One small note of advice: Taking photos of liquor stores may not be advisable when drug dealers are in frame. Those folks are a li’l testy about possible narcs.

Everything you want in a liquor store: Clean, extremely well-lit inside and out(important for this area of town), very good selection(they actually had Sparks Light), good prices($ 1.25 out the door for a 24 of Steel Reserve), and friendly owners. And they care about their customers, too. When I declined a bag for my beverage, they guy told me «you want to be careful» and insisted I get one. I was touched, even though I think drinking out of a bag is more suspicious-looking than an uncovered container. Still, it was nice he was concerned about my welfare. Good spot for a walk and drink between sets at nearby Great American Music Hall. I recommend paying with exact change to avoid getting bills back that probably have been places you would not want to know.
