Y Clement Shek, DDS

I have been going to Dr. Shek’s office since I was a child. He is a great dentist that is truly dedicated to his patients and has always provided wonderful dental care each and every time I have made a visit. He has also saved me a lot of money by providing services that normally would require an expensive specialist. For example, he was able to extract two of my four wisdom teeth even though wisdom teeth removal oftentimes requires a specialist. During the procedure, I did not feel any pain whatsoever and Dr. Shek was very quick and efficient in removing my wisdom teeth. His knowledge and expertise are very deep and extensive.
His staff is always friendly and superb at making me feel comfortable and relaxed during my treatment. The office manager, Melisa, is always a gracious host and friendly person to work with. She is easy to talk to over the phone and is very flexible in finding times that work with your schedule. She is always able to cheer me up with her positive attitude and friendliness.
Dr. Shek’s practice is a great dental office to go to. His expertise and staff are truly outstanding and I will continue to be a returning patient for many years to come.

2)Getting a reminder call for our twice a year visit and finding a time that accommodate our busy life and work schedule to see us.

These are not the 3 reason that keep us coming. It all started when I had a bad toothache. Dr. Y Clement Shek explained in detailed of how it was best to be taken out. Don’t remember the exact word but, had a well educated lesson from someone that have been practicing for 40 plus years. Not sure how to explain this but, he is not only our dentist but our PHYSICIAN as well. If your looking for a (family) dentist who cares and understands you like we did, a must go!

Oh my. I wrote the review about having seen Dr. Clement for 25 years, and having loved him so much. How sad as the office has ended up being such complete creeps. He has sicced his long-​time secretary on me. She’s called and left horrible messages on my voice mail where she yells into the phone. She called me at my workplace and harassed me for payments.
Their way of doing business is like the maffia now. This past year they treated me like someone who’s borrowed $ 25K and has two days to pay back or «I’m a gonna breaka you legs». Incredibly unprofessional. And this kind of treatment after having gone to them for 25 years and paid them consistently? Very bad. It seems like Dr. Shek searches hard in your mouth to find work to do, and is gleeful if he can find it and charge away.
I think he must have lost a lot of money on the stockmarket. He’s charging $ 7 a month interest right now on a $ 400 balance which seems exorbitant. I will be calling Delta Dental to see what their policies are on interest, and also let them know of the horrible treatment.
I would recommend staying away from this dentist and his practice. There is a glut of dentists right now. No reason in the world to see this group.

Y Clement Shek was my dentist from early childhood through high school. I (and my sister) bolted as soon as we could determine our own dental care. He AND his staff are the reason I absolutely HATE going to the dentist now, as an adult.
He caters well to the immigrant Chinese community who doesn’t know nor expect more. Hopefully the next generation working at his practice operates differently.

I have never felt more comfortable in a dentist chair before. I even drifted off briefly and they were super nice when I told them I was kind of nervous. My husband and his family have gone here his whole life and has never had any fear around dentistry and has great teeth to boot. I recommend them to everyone!
