I have no idea why Dr. Zarate is an OBGYN doctor. She seemed so uncomfortable herself with what she had to do, and then did it so quickly that there is no way she could have found anything unusual. As I was trying to ask her about any of the more alternative treatments, she was disturbed and dismissed them as well as dismissed me. I felt like I had been scolded. She’s totally inappropriate, clinical and clueless. She should not be a doctor that sees patients. I so wish I had read these reviews before I had my appointment with Dr. Zarate. I never want to go back. I’m going to call my insurance and ask to switch to another doctor and suggest they take her off their approved list.

I’m with Josie on this. This doctor is extremely impersonal and her staff is completely incompetent and unprofessional. You have to check in ONTIME or you lose your appointment but will still get charged for it. Then you wait for hours to be seen. Once seen, it’s wham, bam, the-hell-with-thank-you, Ma’am! Questions are quickly dismissed with almost non-applicable responses as if they were blurted out of rote memory.

Dr. Zarate-Navarro Sonia is the WORSTOBGYN I’ve ever had. Hands down. Really impersonal, not gentle if you know what I mean. Very much the lecture type. Condescending. She spends only two days a week in SF and the rest of the time in a Daly City office, so beware Daly City peeps too! I even watched her berate a pregnant woman in the waiting room saying she was fat, and she scolded this woman’s boyfriend/husband/friend that he needed to make her walk around more! While I understand that being healthy is important, you should have heard the way she talked to her. I was infuriated for the woman.
