Zoë Bikini

I have been meaning to write this review! Zoe is my go to local bikini maker for over 6 years now. She knows the best styles, has so many to choose from you better make a couple days of shopping so you don’t wear her out or hog the dressing room for 6 hours.
She is gracious, will alter things on the spot, and always has the BEST! it is worth the price as my bathing suits from her 6 years ago are still in perfect condition after hard core vacations and seriously partying it up.

I have nothing but praise for Zoe and the experience of shopping here.
Zoe will help you discover bikinis that you would never on your own have picked; I totally fell in love with the suit she picked out for me. The selection spans from basic shapes to really unique cuts that you can’t find anywhere else.
The suits are definitely on the pricier side but these are high quality pieces that will last you for years. Love this store!

I bought my first suit from her about 6 years ago. I bought my second about a month later. I swim a few times a week and they still look brand new. Not only are they great quality and cute, Zoe is incredible! She had me try them on and look to see if she needed to tailor it to fit just right. Oh, and FYI, she’s a rockstar.

Once I found Zoe I never have shopped anywhere else for a fashion suit. Great styles, great fit. Pricey but worth it! She seems to have something for every body type. Call ahead to be sure she is in the shop.

This place was amazing — so many colors and styles to choose from. There were gorgeous prints, and sumptuous colors that I hadn’t seen anywhere else. The owner spent a lot of time helping me find the right styles and colors, and was honest in her opinions. Definitely my new favorite swimsuit (bikini) place.

I’m glad I came back. The store was temporarily closed. The woman who helped me was great. She helped me find a bikini top to make it work with my body type. I got a black halter with a rectangle metal in the gore part. I don’t feel I am over powering the bikini top. I am on the bigger side of what the typical body in a bikini. She made some adjustment and left happily with my new, well made sexy bikini top. Coming time for the bottom when I have more time.

Zoe designs the most amazing bikinis! Great fit, beautiful quality. I’ve been wearing her bikinis for years! Loved the pop up store located in Marin about 18 months ago. I would definitely call for an appointment when shopping in SF!
Zoe is extremely knowledgeable on fit and style and offers styles for all body types. These bikinis make you look & feel GREAT!

I love Zoe’s biniki’s. I’ve never had a bikini fit my body so well. I once lost a pair of the bottoms and she made me a new pair. She is super sweet and I don’t know what I would do without her bikini’s. She was super helpful during my fitting and had so many different bottom types. one for every butt!!!

I love Zoe bikinis… I purchased my first one over 10 years ago and it held up forever until it was stolen on vacation… so sad. I buy at least 1 each year and get loads of compliments on them. Until now, I have never been able to wear a strapless top without it falling down or looking like I have 1 BOOB. I have referred many friends and clients and they have all been as happy as me.

I’ve come here twice now to shop for an upcoming trip and there is no one ever at the store during posted business hours. So frustrating! There’s a number to call on the door, but no one ever picks up.
I’d definitely recommend the store to advertise as ‘by appointment only’ to minimize potential customer disappointment if they aren’t going to be open during their business hours.

Best bikini ever! Great styles, colors, and quality, and the personal service is key. I got help choosing syle and color to suit my body (short and curvy), which made the experience very positive. Recently made the mistake of buying a bikini on line. Yikes! Even Zoe Bikinis several years old are head and shoulders above the quality and fit of less expensive brands.

This is the place ! Zoe knows what looks good or not on you! I will never buy another swimsuit any place else. Love this place.

I found this gem when I first moved to SF 3 years ago. Zoe’s designs are dynamic and there are options for many different body styles in each fabric (why this isn’t common place is criminal). She is very helpful and honest during the fitting, suggesting separates I would have never thought to try, but end up loving. I never feel pressured to overspend or self conscious about my body when shopping here. I’m average size, pear shaped with large chest– very difficult to find a suit that isn’t offered in separates.
Best part: her fabrics are super high quality. They don’t stretch or fade. I take good care of my suits, and they look almost brand new after 1 – 2 years of heavy summer use.
Why anyone would subject themselves to Nordstrom is beyond me. Local business and designed in house. A beautiful local business!

Love the hand made bathing suits here. You can purchase tops and bottoms separately which is of course the way all bathing suits should be sold, but is not always the case. So many styles tops and bottoms to choose from, you are sure to find your perfect fit. Zoe is super helpful and gives you honest feedback. Nice materials, elegant and sophisticated. I always always get compliments on her suits because they are unique and steps above what you get from factory made swimsuits. The suits are pricey, but I find even factory made suits are pricey so for me its worth the little extra to purchase one of these beautiful hand mades.

Zoe is the bomb!!! She helped my daughter find the perfect design for her shape. Up until that point, finding things off the rack were impossible. Her eye for design is amazing. Very highly recommended.

I have been a longtime devoted fan, and the bathing suits I’ve acquired over time have really held up. I still get compliments on the uniquely designed, well-​crafted suits that I purchased YEARS ago! Zoë puts her heart and soul into every pattern, and works hard to stay inspired and create products that are fresh and beautiful with every passing season. Bottom line: when I’m buying a bikini here, I know that I’m investing in a local artist who’s committed to producing high-​quality, beautiful designs that you won’t find anywhere else!

Hands-​down the best place to buy swimsuits in the SF Bay Area. Why didn’t I do this sooner!
Bought two swimsuits for my Hawaii trip last month– soooo in love with the suits. It was one of those rare experiences where I tried in the first bikini, and I couldn’t believe how good it looked. Usually trying on swimsuits is like jeans– most are very wrong/​unflattering. Spent ages there, and gracious, helpful Zoe was there to assist (I even got to try on a few of her next season bikinis– so cool!). Had to narrow down from 4 swimsuits in the end (loved them so much debated on buying them all!), so couldn’t be happier.
I’ve always bought swimsuits from Victoria’s Secret and Target (Amazon for cheapie horrible ones once too!), as they make decent underwear– why wouldn’t they make good swimsuits, I thought to myself. When I tried the bikinis on, it’s easy to see how much of a design eye Zoe has. The back of the swimsuit is properly cut and sewn (and complements what you have), and the tops make the rack look fantastic! I loved how she altered the back closure for me in both suit before I left (note you can return after altered, but why would you!?). My back is narrow and felt so good to have something that fit perfectly. She really has studied the female form and keeps on the latest trends to ensure she has the best.
At the pool and beach in Hawaii I found myself literally holding myself differently (haha and not just sucking in!). I felt confident for the first time in my bikini, which is such a fleeting lovely feeling. My husband loved them too, and that I needed to throw out my other swimsuits (already did!).
Good things to know before you go–
* call first to ensure 1) they’re open and 2) Zoe is there. Seems likes there’s a couple poor reviews when she’s not there
* allow enough time to enjoy looking and trying on several swimsuits. Zoe gives you her focus and energy– which is really an easy consultation (what colors, shapes do you like, what are you drawn to etc)
* ensure you put plenty of time in the meter if you drive (time flies!)
* be prepared to drop about $ 70 – 75 a piece (mine were about $ 140 for top and bottom). Note you’ll never waste money on those cheapie unflattering suits again, and you’ll treasure your swimsuit
* eat light before you go (hah you know what I mean! No sugary/​carby food beforehand if you can help it)
* don’t wear bronzer powder on your neck/​chest/​shoulders as it will rub off the swimsuits
I’ll never again buy a swimsuit from anywhere else. Just go and you’ll see what I mean! Look the hottest you’ve ever looked– and felt– in a swimsuit.

UPDATE: Zoe had a sale and got 11 pieces! I’m set and couldn’t be happier I got to buy so many swimsuits. They have sales twice a year– February and October, I believe. Again make sure Zoe is there before you go cause this is her specialty– her store and she makes the prototypes… you can give her feedback/​edits and she can sew (shorten) straps for you while you’re there or take note for next season– so cool!

I love Zoe bikini… I always get friendly prompted service. The bikinis are well made and have always held up for years. I always get a loads of compliments when on vacation.
I would and have recommended Zoe Bikini whenever asked…

I came here five years ago before my wedding and had a great shopping experience (I actually purchased 2 ½ bikinis.) But yesterday’s experience was awkward and pretty disappointing.
When I walked in the door the sales representative didn’t even bother to lift her head to greet me. I began browsing the suits, all of which were paired together, so I asked if all of the suits were sold as separates. She looked up, responded «the are all separates,» and looked back down at her phone/​computer. I picked out a few suits and she never once asked to start a dressing room for me. It’s not like she was busy or couldn’t see me, the desk is literally 12 feet from the entrance and I was the only person there. After asking to try on the suits, she said nothing to me, stood up, and pulled the curtain closed then walked back to the desk.
After trying on a few suits, I found a style that I liked but I was hoping to find the right color combo, so I stepped back onto the sales floor and began browsing again. The sales stayed glued to her device and did not once look up to ask if I needed help finding a particular style or size. Her hipster, too-​cool attitude was a real turnoff, and frankly, at $ 150+ a pop, I would hope for attentive customer service, but I expect the common courtesy of a smile and hello when I walk in the shop. Her attitude was very unwelcoming… It’s too bad because I walked out of the store without purchasing a suit not because I couldn’t find something, but because of the poor customer service.
I’m pretty disappointed because my previous suits from this shop were great quality, and I really need a new suit for an upcoming trip.

I recently got my third bikini here! After finding out about Zoe Bikini a couple years ago, I looked nowhere else for sexy, fun, unique, and high-​quality bikinis because Zoe’s talent is incomparable.
I went to Vegas and of course, I had to bring one of my Zoe bikinis with me. And I’ve never received so many compliments before! In the past, I’ve always been a one-​piece swimsuit gal because I wanted to hide my tummy area. I was pretty modest too. But after learning to love and accept myself (thank you yoga!) and in the process, boosting my self-​esteem, I went into Zoe’s shop and bought my first two-​piece when I was overweight. Bikinis are for women of all shapes and sizes. I didn’t need a six-​pack or to look like a Victoria Secret model to be able to wear one, I thought. And YOLO :)
Long story short. I struggled with my weight for countless years. It wasn’t until this summer that I lost 30 lbs after completing the 21 day fix program. I committed myself to clean eating and daily exercise. Zoe’s bikini actually motivated me to get back into shape. I kept it visible in my closet and it served as a daily reminder for me that «abs are made in the kitchen» so I needed to make healthy food choices, practice portion control, and follow the exercise schedule.
Anyway, back to Zoe. Zoe is super friendly. Her window display always gets me in trouble. My three bikinis had all been displayed. Zoe has great, impeccable taste and she would offer suggestions of designs, styles, and prints that suit your body type. For example, some women prefer more coverage for the bottom and/​or top. And what’s nice about her bikinis is that you can mix and match. Some even reversible too. So for ladies who want less coverage, like a triangle top and brazilian-​style bottom, Zoe has those for you. I will eventually graduate to a brazilian-​like bottom. ;)
Her older collections are still available in store and her work just gets better and better. Too bad I was not gifted with a right-​dominant brain (creativity) because I would love to have Zoe’s job as a designer, someone who makes women feel good about themselves through their art.
I am very confident and extremely comfortable in my own skin now and I gotta say, I’m never going back to speedo swimsuits again! Zoe does have one-​pieces and my second leopard print bikini is hot as hell. I will wear that on my next vacation.
My friends have also ditched their H&M and Target bikinis and are looking into Zoe’s because her bikinis are one-​of-​a-​kind and the quality is top-​notch.

This has got to be one of my best impulse buys yet. I stopped in when I had some time to spare and Zoe helped me find a fantastic bikini top.
I’ve had trouble in the past because I’m larger on top, but everything she showed me fit and supported well. Since everything is designed in house, Zoe offered to make any necessary band adjustments on the spot (although in the end I didn’t have any). After trying on five different options, I fell in love with a top from her newest collection.
The bikinis are a bit pricey, my top cost $ 78, but it is fantastic. There are lots of colors and pieces are sold separately so you can pick tops/​bottoms from different styles. Launder these carefully and they’ll last for years. I’ll be back for more next season.
