Master Dog Training

Michael has been training our dog for over two years and hands down he is an awesome trainer and person. Morrison (135 lbs Rottweiler) loves when Michael comes to train him. He gets so excited to see him and loves the attention. We’ve continued the training because of the bond that Michael and Morrison have, anyone would be lucky to train with Michael.

I’m gonna go totally 90’s on this review and say that Michael is The Bomb! He has been training my toy pomeranian, Mochi, for a little over 2 months now. My puppy is a handful but Michael has managed to teach him lots of commands. It is incredible to watch how good he is with dogs and his many years of experience really show.
I would recommend Michael to anyone looking to train their puppy. He is seriously affordable and worth every dollar. He comes to my house once a week and stays for an hour. He is never rushed and has answers to all my questions from grooming to feeding and potty training.

Michael is great. You can’t go wrong with him. What is important that as a dog owner you have to follow through with his recommendations and reinforce all the time. I know I didn’t get the what I could have out of the sessions but has nothing to do with Michael. If you need a dog trainer, he is your man. He has excellent prices and can work with your schedule. He has evening hours which is super helpful. I have already recommended him to friends. I definitely recommend him if you need a good dog trainer! My dog loves him and treat him like the alpha male!

I have a German Shepherd puppy that I took to Petco for training. She was doing well at first but as the weeks went by I quickly realized that she needed more than that and even though she’s not so bad all around, there are a few problem behaviors that I wanted to address — pulling, jumping, not listening in general — as well as learning new commands.
Michael came to our house twice so far, at a month interval, and he’s done so much to help me and my dog already! He always answers all our questions (which are often silly in my opinion!) and clearly loves and understands dogs.
I’ve already booked my third session with him and I look forward to training for the AKC Good Citizen evaluation as well! Since Michael has started to work with my pup, she is much more respectful of our owners (us) and listens to commands a lot more. All the work in the hour-​long session also leaves her completely exhausted, which is great inside the house!
He is a lot more affordable than most other trainers who offer in-​home sessions and doesn’t try to cut the session short like they do at Petco when they don’t know what else to teach you that day.

Michael is amazing. My Aussie (Yogi) and Pitbull mix (Tigger) are the dynamic duo. Yogi is aggressive to strangers in the home and Tigger was aggressive towards other dogs. In a few short weeks, Michael has transformed Tigger’s behaviour and she can now be off leash in the dog park. She is discovering that other dogs can be fun! Yay! We continue to work on obedience and getting Yogi to be less territorial at home.
Michael arrived in our lives like Mary Poppins, with a ton of props to entice the dogs to behave, but most importantly, the psychological acumen and sensitivity to understand and empathise with Yogi and Tigger (who adore him) and with me, so I can say that Michael is training me to become a more supportive and effective dog owner, placing me in the alpha seat.
I sing his praises everywhere and hand out his number to anyone who asks for doggie assistance: Michael is the Master Dog-​Owner Trainer!!!

Asked Michael to come to my home as a behaviorist to help remedy an issue I was having with my 110 pound german shepherd. He was starting to bark at kids and people on our walks. He was becoming suspicious of people and everyone told me he was fearful. I tried counterconditioning exercises and different german shepherd trainers, but nothing was working. It was getting worse.
That’s where Michael stepped in, thank goodness. As soon as he came to my home, my german shepherd loved him, he spent time going over all of our concerns, asked questions about our dog etc, and wrote out a plan for us. I have to say at first I wasn’t sure if the plan would work, but I was desperate, so I stuck to it.
I’m so glad I did. What a difference in our dog. Last week several kids came running up to him at the park and he let them pet him, I don’t want to jinx it but it’s been just a few weeks now and he hasn’t barked at anyone. He is much more friendly and confident. Thank You Michael. I can’t say it enough!
If you are having behavioral problems with your dog, please don’t give up on your dog. Call Michael you won’t regret it.

Michael is an outstanding dog trainer and people trainer too. I have recommended him to others who are interested in training their dogs.

My mom and I hired Michael to help us introduce our 2 alpha female dogs. He diagnosed the problem and helped us find an immediate solution, since my mom was going to be staying with us for a few weeks. He was a life saver. If we hadn’t had his guidance and tips for how to proceed, we would have been in a real pickle. The dogs started out wanting to fight (and fighting did happen once), but now they can co-​exist peacefully, and they even play sometimes! I highly recommend Michael for dog training, and we look forward to hiring him in the future to help with other issues we have with our dog.

Michael is so kind and so good at training! Our dog, Forest, just loves Michael and has learned so quickly while working with him. Michael is patient, and truly understands what dogs need to learn and how they learn. Michael knows when they need a break and is very sensitive to how dogs are feeling. We just loved working with him and will be referring other dog owners to him, for sure!!!

All I can say is outstanding. Michael, is not only an excellent trainer, but he is compassionate, friendly, respectful and professional. It is great to work with someone who loves what they do, but really loves animals.

Used Michael for training my standard poodle he uses positive reinforcement and took his time with my crazy puppy. In a world where a owner is defined of the behavior of their pets its good to see a trainer who is willing to make life easier for us by turning my canine into a good citizen. We will be using michael for the next level of training.
