Hours of operation mean nothing to these people. Late start. Bla assistance. Facilities are not well maintained.

The older lady handling the passport section needs to be terminated. she is a rude and irritating employee… I am very displeased to know that she is a public servant. she makes her own rules when she opens her window and what documents are needed… disgusted!!!

I’ve never been to a passport agency that takes forever. A family of 4 in front me were applying and it took the office lady almost 2 hours to complete, which is ridiculous. I cannot believe citizens of San Gabriel is paying tax for this kind of service. Shame on them.

Yuck. The absolutely worst Rec department I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. Dirty, poorly run, disorganized, lazy, perpetually confused staff… did i mention DIRTY? I swear I thought I was going to get a disease from the floor that left an inch of black grime on the bottom of my feet. Unfortunately, I’m Not exaggerating. Its obvious dealing with the administration here, and using the funky facilities that they have no respect for their clients or their employees. Do your self a favor, and take a short trip to South Pasadena where they have great programs, great teachers, a friendly and competent staff, and immaculately clean facilities with plenty of parking. BTW, unlike the city of San Gabriel, you will NOT be charged an additional fee if you are not a resident of the city. Imagine that: South Pasadena is not exclusionary or elitist, but San Gabriel is!

PASSPORTS!!! I was driving down San Gabriel Blvd and saw a sign that said PASSPORTS! I drove down to the building… it is right on the corner and very small, I walked in, filled out forms, had my photo taken and was told 4 – 6 weeks but should be closer to 4. This took me all of 10 minutes! The fee is $ 69 to the state, and a $ 30 fee for The City of San Gabriel. Well worth it if you ask me, it was a one stop passport place! This included my photo! Last time I had to go to Kinko’s, get photo, wait in line… blah blah blah! You can also rush and pay extra… call for prices they are very nice!
