My car had a light on… for a while. Yes I should have addressed it before. But such was the state of things due to my huge procrastination problem.
My mom finally had me drive her to pick up her car from this shop… and harangued me (lovingly) into getting the work done… finally, here and now! So I spoke to Cam, who was honest and straightforward. He called me about unforeseen work that needed to be done on my brakes before beginning it, which, yes, is common courtesy. But I haven’t been extended that same courtesy by other, commercially known chains when it comes to getting my car all fixed up.
I dropped it off at night on a Tuesday, and it was ready before 2pm the next day, Wednesday! That’s service. I’ve recommended this place since, but where word of mouth doesn’t reach, Unilocal does.

I went down here to repair a Lexus is 250 front bumper a while ago. They didn’t do a good job flexing back the bumper. It wasn’t fitted back properly and they didn’t fill cracked areas with fiber glass before re– painting. There were literally cracks On places the bumper caved in and any descent body repair shop would have fixed it.
There was a gap on the left driver’s side between the metal fender and bumper. The owner assured me they would flex back bumper to it’s original look. This was not accomplished.
Also, I had to return twice. The first time I saw the car, the lower spoiler wasn’t screwed back properly. It was so obvious it was wrong and they rushed the job almost like they didn’t care. The second time I discovered the lower grill wasn’t even attached anymore. It would pop out every time I drove the car. Their creative fix for the problem was drilling 2 screws to the plastic under cover to hold it in place. This is some half ass insurance repair. They got my insurance money and didn’t repair my car back to it’s original condition. At least they matched the paint correctly. Didn’t understand how poorly my car was repaired until I took it to an awesome auto repair shop called Classic Collision in Glendale that fixed the bumper perfectly.

I’ve go to this store for my BMW X5 for more than 5 year. I can always receive professional service at affordable price within a reasonable time.

I have been loyal customers for more than 8 years, switched 3 cars. Cam has been real kind and care for both my current van and my wife’s car. Several times I have him inspect a car before purchase and did some other small favors he did not even charged me. I highly recommend this shop even though I understand sometimes you could also have careless employees on staff. I myself am also in service industry so I know how hard it is to have service done on time (customers are usually anxiously waiting without a car for non maintence services) and to please all customers. But Cam always test drive my car after repair, the services he performed in the past were mostly excellent so I think overall he is a good mechanic with good heart and integrity. Their prices are reasonable but not cheap. But you always get genuine parts they promised you and I believe in «You get what you paid for». I would recommend this shop to anyone !

I’ve been going to this mechanic for more than 10 years. They’ve worked on my Toyota MR2, Volkswagen GTI and now my Volvo S40. I’ve always got great service with good pricing and the work was done in a reasonable amount of time. The owner always remembers me and has helped me take good care of my cars.

i went to simply patch a hole on my rear tire. not to mention that couple weeks before, i had changed all studs (oem honda) and lug nuts (motegi) for all four wheels. i changed them just cause im anal about it. anyways, they were supposed to patch a hole in the rear tire, small one, it took couple hours. i finally got my keys back along with a stripped and shredded lug nut. my stud was also stripped. i had racing lug nuts with a spline key. any mechanic should know not to use an impact gun when first putting on this type of lug that uses a spline key, they are supposed to be applied by fingers first and then gun. they also made a hairline crack on my spline key, threw that thing away ($ 35 key in the trash). they did not give me any sort of compensation and i still had to pay for the patch. they said it was already damaged which is bs. because it was only the tip of the stud and the opening of the lug nut that was stripped which obviously says that they screwed up while putting it back on. they must have thought i was stupid. what a dick. even quotations from this place are through the roof. tssss cant even patch a simple hole. this place sucks donkey nuts. THERES A MECHANIC NEXT DOOR THAT I TRUST VERY MUCH, HE DOES GOOD WORK. I HAVE TWO CARS AND A WORK TRUCK THAT I TAKE TO THE MECH NEXT DOOR.

Used to come here, when it was a smaller operation, or perhaps when I didn’t know any better. I would say this place owes a lot to my family and and friends and their cars, apparently now they could care less. They used to do careful work at great prices, but more recently their work is pretty shoddy and their prices have skyrocketed. Upon many occasions my cars have had to be brought back because of misdiagnosis or poorly done-​up service (imagine changing oil without refilling the oil). But this isn’t even the bad part.
What’s worse, the place is run by a guy named Cam, who is one of the most arrogant and condescending douche-​bag mechanics I have ever met. If you’re like me, I hate dealing with people in general like that, especially a mechanic. I need to be able to trust my mech to know he’s in it to help me keep my auto in good health. Do a good job and I’ll pony up. But I’m not going to be charged an arm and leg for a half ass job, only to give then be lectured about your worth and superiority over me and some lame value proposition that you are still somehow cheaper than a BMW dealer or a Toyota certified mech (Toyota mech’s at least offer you tea and coffee in their wait rooms and a smile on the way out).
So listen you jerk, know your place in this market– I know who your clients are, I used to be one. I’m glad business has been good, I’m sure you don’t miss my measy scraps. But when I hear that you still blow off your best customers, all I can only say now is more power to you. Maybe you cater to all the Arcadia yuppies, they pay up, and don’t have the balls or know any better but to take shit from you. But understand this, I could have been a mechanic if I wanted to, probably could have gone to school for it easy. But just because I am not, I’m not a dumb ass, so here’s a tip, don’t treat me or any of your customers like that.
I have not returned to the Mechanic Experts and would not recommend this mechanic to anyone because of shoddy work and simple arrogance of the staff
