Decent place to grab some traditional American food, simple sandwiches and fries. All their salads were build your own, I got mine with kale, the kale was a little old and soft, not very fresh. The Mac and cheese was decent, pretty cheesey, but nothing mind blowing. I recommend getting the tater tots with your sandwiches, something different than plain fries.

Pretty good breakfast options, doesn’t get too crowded, friendly workers, chill outdoor seating. One of the workers(maybe he was the owner?) seemed oddly fixated on my fitness routine, which was cool at first but a bit odd later. «What gym do you go to? You look familiar.» quickly turned into references to nutritional macros and post-workout options on the menu. Don’t remind me about excessive fat content when I’m about to order a skillet with a bunch of bacon and fried potatoes in it, bro!

The food portions here are quite large and worth the price you pay. It’s also one of the few American style cafes serving pastas, sandwiches and soups in the area with truly the American taste palate. Most places in this area are Asian of some kind. It’s a very good change of place. The food is average but something that I can absolutely eat. Very cute ambiance and a small parking lot. They do have relatively slow cook time so if you go please prepare enough time for them to take your order and cook it. If you are doing a mid-day lunch prepare accordingly for time. Recommended dish: tomato soup and grilled cheese, the eggplant sandwich ELT. The pastas are ok but not amazing.

This place is literally a hidden gem, I’ve driven past it for years without batting this location an eye. It is located right next to the KFC on Las Tunas. The staff is super friendly and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The prices are good for what you get! This place takes top 10 in non-Asian food for me in the area.

This is a great casual place to stop by weather you are in a hurry or want to spend some time: working, reading or chatting with friends. The staff is young and friendly, and they sure take pride in their work. The menu varies from breakfast favorites including chicken and waffles to a mouth full of flavor skillet. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the owner Marcus came himself to check with us. The lunch menu was perfectly great, with a variety of sandwiches and amazing side salads with house made dressing. All the sauces are house made and taste unique. Speaking of unique their soda fountain is hand craft, with sugar cane making the whole experience just perfect. Indoor and outdoor seating, friendly staff and great food and coffee

Wow! That’s all I can say! JK, there is more. This place is quite fantastic. The food is divine and the owner gives special attention to every plate that comes out. We came in to take advantage of some Wi-Fi and the comfy outdoor patio we had read about. We set up shop at the far table and were immediately greeted by Jay, our server. We initially only planned to stay for breakfast but ended up staying until close. For Breakfast we had the breakfast skillet, and the breakfast sandwich. Both were very well prepared, and the flavor was on point. I highly recommend the breakfast skillet. For lunch I had the Roast Beef Panino(that’s the singular for Panini). Markus the owner was great, and very sociable. I plan to return for another work day in the future. :-) Side Note: Parking is limited so park on the street. Right next door to KFC.

In LOVE with their iced EARLYGREYLATTE, soy with very light swt. And of course, I’m completely addicted to their tater tots — ONLY $ 3.00!!! Angela, chef, is amaze-balls. Always so organized in adding extra written stickers for all my drinks. Tanya & Inastasia, amazing baristas Great place of low profile secluded place to get a causal business talk in, chat with friends, bring a dog and chillax to the max in the patio area. Also a great wifi junkie, study place! Outlets located around café. Perfect vibe indoor and outdoor. Service: Everyone’s been super nice. Its totally a café vibe, so its a little slower pace. All the food is cooked when ordered. Kitchen is small so, they can’t make the magic of breakfast and lunch at one time. When they switch to lunch at 12pm, it’ll take time for them to switch the whole kitchen to lunch. Breakfast stops at 11:30am. Lunch starts at 12pm.

Cute little gem with good food! Stopped here for lunch and immediately regretted not rolling out of bed earlier for my ultimate favorite: breakfast. They only serve that menu until 12pm, it’s the lunch menu for the rest of the day. Though lunch was great, their extensive coffee/tea menu paired with the great breakfast offerings is high on my list now! My boyfriend and I split the fried chicken sandwich and the haus burger — both fantastic. The burger patty was fresh and had a great taste and the chicken sandwich toppings were fantastic. Service was great and extremely friendly. Atmosphere was fantastic and trendy. We don’t spend too much time in SGV but if we’re around we will probably stop by again!

Quite a bit has changed since they open doors last Fall. Hours & menu were revised several times. Someone said management(and/or ownership changed too). Overall, still had a good experience and tried some more things since then. Breakfast Items 9am-12noon 1. Meat Lover’s Omelet $ 11 — 4.5 stars 2. Breakfast Skillet $ 9 — 4 stars 3. Buttermilk Pancakes $ 6 — 3 stars(was 4 stars. It was slightly burnt on the outside and undercook inside. Batter also taste different from the first time I had it). Lunch 12noon to close(4pm?) * The Haus Burger $ 12 — 4 stars(could use bacon to elevate the burger) * Mahi Sandwich $ 13 — 4 stars(had it back when they offered dinner. Kinda/sorta good) * Penne Pasta(forgot which one) — 3.5 stars Drinks 1. Iced Honey Cinnamon Latte — 4 stars 2. Hot Coffee 3.5 to 4 stars 3. Hot Nutella Latte — 3.5 stars(a bit too sweet for me but better than Lovebird Café’s White Chocolate Mocha. Sorry, had to compare cuz just had it yesterday). 4. Iced Blueberry Hibiscus 3 stars 5. Iced Salted Caramel Latte — 3 stars Service for the most part has been fine. Their wait time for food can be long, so definitely a con. Also, they no longer have a showcase full of pastries & baked goods. It’s empty. Only cookies, cereal bar, loaf(of something). Basically, limited sweets now.

I think that the high reviews come from the great desire for a non-Asian restaurant in the area. Based on other reviews, we decided to come check this place out. How can you beat such high reviews? I should have focused more on the average reviews. We walked in and was told to seat anywhere. We grab our table and waited for the menu. And waited and waited. So I ended up going to the counter to grab menus. I ordered the Mahi Mahi fish and chips, $ 12. My husband got the haus burger like everyone else. The burger wasn’t bad but the fish and chips was awful! It was a sad looking fish. In fact I was thinking, Gordon’s frozen fish from ralphs is probably better. The entire time we were eating no one stopped by to ask if we were ok. The only time we saw them again is when they left the check for us. Make that extra mile or two drive into Pasadena and get better food please. Overall, I would say, pass on this place. Service is horrible and the food takes forever.

So one glorious afternoon we headed here to have lunch. I would have to say that the folks are really awesome and the space is really chill. I noticed the had Wi-Fi and that’s a plus. The food was amazingly awesome. Pricey, in my opinion, bit you’re paying for quality. I had the veggie burger(not what it’s called) and my colleagues had THE burger and fish and chips :) I had their tater tots withy meal and wow that was really good! The only crappy part is their parking. Not a big deal because you can park on the street!

Cute local gem! The Greenhaus Café is a little tucked away on a busy street and it’s like it veered off the path to Pasadena and landed in San Gabriel for my sake. The parking lot is a little small but there’s plenty of street parking and there’s hardly ever a long wait for a table. Somewhat hipster but in a charming way. But more importantly, the food… They break their menu at noon between breakfast and lunch. My favorite is the fried chicken sandwich off the lunch menu. That piece of chicken is so juicy and tender inside the perfectly crisp panko crust. It’s simple and filling. Straight to the point. Those tater tots are addicting! I’ve also had the chicken and waffles when I swung by too early. I’m not crazy about the waffle — I would’ve preferred it thinner and crispier(I didn’t use the maple sauce) — but the fried chicken was still on point. The breakfast skillet is very interesting because it’s a combination of breakfast items such as potatoes, bacon, tomatoes, asparagus, and cheese topped with a fried egg. I always opt for tater tots so that got tossed into the mix too. Delicious, but I felt like it was missing something to bring all the flavors together. I enjoy a variety in my meals so this was perfect for me nonetheless. Staff is very welcoming and attentive. Establishment is very cozy yet airy. There’s a small outdoor seating area where you’re still tucked away from the busy streets of SG. Especially with its convenient location, I definitely see myself as a regular here.

This place had been bookmarked for so long so I decided to pick up some food on my lazy Sunday. I was able to get street parking right in front of the restaurant. However, there is a small parking lot. This place is super cute. A great place to check out if you wanted to have brunch with a friend without heading out to downtown. Breakfast serve from 9 – 12, lunch 12 to closing with sandwiches and pastas and build ur own salad listed on the menu. They also have a kid’s menu. They just open last year in September and seen pretty busy when I got there. They got indoor and outdoor seating. They don’t really have much of a waiting area, there was only one big chair that I was able to chill at until my food was ready. I really wanted to check out the bakery section but it was close to a table and didn’t want to bother the guest eating near it, so I just decided to stay put. Which is a bummer. I decided to get a breakfast sandwich with tater tots. The Breakfast sandwich had basil aioli, bacon, vine ripe tomatoes, fried egg and cheddar. I really enjoy the bread and sauce on this sandwich. The bread was light and fluffy. The sandwich is simple but cooked-well. My egg was cooked with a yolky center and everything went together well. You get a choice between potatoes or tater tots. I’m team tots so had to get them. The tots were cooked perfectly. You were able to taste the garlic and seasoning on the tots. They gave me a bunch too that I was able to share them. Overall, I would be back again to try other sandwiches and of course, for more tots.

One of the Greenhaus girls was super nice and was able to make me a delicious Green Tea latte with Honey not featured on the menu, which I was craving. It was quite milky but perfect in sweetness. My friends and I also shared some fries and tots while we worked here and I preferred the fries while they preferred the tots! I am not a tot person, but they were not bad– just regular fried goodies dressed up a bit. Greenhaus is also an eating establishment so it’s a bit weird to have such an eclectic mix of people sitting down for a family meal and us working on the side. It can be quiet here, but it can also be loud. Not the most comfy work environment with the hard chairs and outlets only being by the benches, but it’s decent. More of a 3.5 stars for me, but loving the fact that they were able to accommodate my needs!

If you want to skip the drive and prices of a weekend brunch in Los Angeles, Greenhaus Café is an okay alternative. Their brunch/breakfast menu offers the typical fare of omelettes, pancakes, French toast while lunch gives you sandwiches, salads and pastas. This place gets quite busy on the weekends but luckily, we were able to dodge the lunch rush by a little bit at 11:30. My table split the French Toast, Strawberries & Waffles with Honeycomb, and Breakfast Skillet along with a couple of hot green tea lattes. The French Toast was definitely the standout in our brunch lineup. French Toast is simple but easy to screw up but anything with Hawaiian sweet bread gets an A+. The Breakfast Skillet was pretty tasty, with well-seasoned roasted potatoes, cheese, tomatoes and asparagus. However, the waffles were pretty disappointing as they lacked neither the fluffiness or chewiness found in freshly made waffles. The texture was dry and crumbly and adding maple syrup to the mix just made the waffles even soggier. The tiny piece of honeycomb that accompanied the dish didn’t do much to enhance it either. Also, it was odd that we weren’t initially given maple syrup with the French Toast and waffles. The waitress asked us after delivering the dishes if we wanted any and grabbed a couple of dinky little cups filled halfway with syrup. Not sure if this was their way of trying to cut costs, but if the menu says the items come with maple syrup, they should probably come with maple syrup. The green tea lattes tasted fine and had a strong matcha flavor, although it could’ve been sweeter. However, my mom liked that it wasn’t overly sweet, so it could’ve been a matter of preference.

Discovered this gem a month ago and now, there’s a new owner who raised a dollar on the salad and protein, took out the shoe string fries and home-made ketchup. Their coffee now tastes like what I make at home, but charges you the same prices as what specialty coffee places would charge, and to top that off, their obvious use of generic, processed ingredients in their salad. On the bright side, there’s no longer a wait and you’ll now find parking spaces in their lots.

Parking: They have a one way parking lot for about 6 cars. It’s slightly narrow when it’s a full lot so backing out could be an issue for some. Street parking is also available. Outdoor seating: Cute and airy. Love the divider and gives the place a homey feel. You can bring your dog. Food: The food were fairly rationed and priced. I really enjoyed the haus burger. The patty was thick and juicy. The Mac and cheese needed a bit more salt and possibly more bread crumbs for texture. The bbq pork hash had a nice mix of flavors and is good for a light meal. But for those that are hungry, get the burger. Chicken and waffles were great! The chicken was juicy and the waffle was thick and airy. I would suggest asking for the gravy on the side. That way you can keep your chicken crispy. Overall a cute plate for a lunch date at a affordable price! I’ll be back!

Was a bit skeptical about trying this place because American food in the sgv can be either a hit or miss. To my surprise, this place is definitely a hit. Immediately I was already happy to find out that they serve breakfast until 4pm, yay! I ordered the Breakfast Skillet($ 8) which comes with either grilled potatoes or tater tots; I got it with tater tots. My meal was so good! The egg was cooked the way I like it; sunny side up yet still gooey in the middle. This dish comes with a bunch of grilled veggies under the egg; I. e onions, asparagus, & cherry tomatoes. I didn’t feel so bad eating the bacon or tater tots cause the veggies balanced out my meal hehe. My BF ordered The Haus Burger($ 11) which comes with fries. My bf actually finished his entire dish and claimed that this was the best burger he has ever had. I took a bite of it and it was actually really good! I also got a 12oz vanilla latte($ 3.25) and I LOVED it. It reminded me of the Spanish latte I get from urth caffe. So bomb. Overall, I will for sure be coming back for the lattes & to try other dishes. The only con is that the parking lot is small & the wait time for the food to come out took about 30 minutes. Nonetheless, there’s plenty of street parking and food tasted super fresh!

Parking: Small parking lot but there’s street parking Ambiance: Wonderful. The café is decorated accordingly to their«green» name. There’s also a large table with outlets! Service: Amazing. The girl who helped us provided wonderful recommendations and gave us a very warm vibe Food: Long wait time, but it’s because the food is made fresh(i hope hehe) Meat lover’s omelet $ 9– the server described this as a LARGEEE meal that can be shared between two people. Thank buddha that we ordered something extra because it was only average size. Kind of small compared to the omelettes I make at home. Nonetheless, it was delicious! Crunchy bacon and melted cheese on the inside. I would definitely order this again. The fruits were very fresh and I love how they cut their grapes in half. They probably cut it so it looks like there’s more on the plate, but its okay– it was fun to eat: P Penne Pesto Pasta with chicken $ 10(?) — I wouldn’t recommend this. It was a very adorable presentation but the pesto was bland. The chicken was juicy but I wasn’t impressed at all Blueberry cupcake– This caught my eye the most out of all the desserts. It looked like there was ice cream on top of the cupcake, but it was a moose. Absolutely loved it! Very soft and creamy. This is something that I’ll probably buy at every visit Oreo Donut– nothing special in my opinion but my friend liked it. What sparked my interest was the fact that they BAKED the donut, vs. frying it –I didn’t see a price on the desserts so I can’t list how much I paid for them All in all, I had a very pleasant visit here. Honestly, I feel like I paid for the ambiance, more than the food– but that’s okay with me!

Who knew there was an American-style brunch/lunch place right in the middle of San Gabriel? I sure didn’t. Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon with two others. We waited maybe 15 – 20 minutes before being seated. FOOD: — fried chicken sandwich with gremolata fries — the fried chicken patty is coated in panko before being fried, which makes it super crispy! The inside was piping hot and juicy and I enjoyed the crunch of the skin. The fries are similar to garlic fries but with a hint of lemony-ness — good, but I prefer a thicker cut fry. Also tried bites of the BBQ pork hash — yummy! And the strawberry honeycomb waffles — super fluffy waffles! SERVICE: Really friendly! It’s a small café, with some outdoor seating and it seems to get really busy at times(like when we were there). Friendly server, food took a while to come out. VENUE/PARKING: Café is small but cute, with some outdoor patio seating. Busy, and can get a little cramped when all the tables are full. Tiny parking lot with enough spaces for maybe 5 – 6 cars, but there’s plenty of parking available on Las Tunas or around the corner on California.
