I took Cpr tonight and it was very different then I imagined. It was a long process, but It was very clear on what to do and how to be a good rescue helper. The two ladies that were there were very helpful, positive and upbeat teachers! I would go take this class again in two years.

If you to take a CPR and first aid class. I would highly recommend Columbia CPR. Michelle(the owner) is very friendly and helpful, and the class was fast and pretty easy.

I work at an Assisted Living Community and am required to take a First Aid class every 2 years. This year I attended Michelle’s class at Columbia First Aid &CPR. I was very happy I did. Michelle is very dedicated and her class was very interesting and helpful. Some times classes like these can be very dull and drawn out. Not Michelle’s class. She not only teaches but also gives examples of different situations to make it much more interesting and I think it really helps to make you retain the knowledge more. I highly recommend attending one of her classes if you are in need of training. She is delightful, professional, and a wonderful teacher. I will definitely be returning to Michelle’s class next time my renewal comes up.

If you’re looking for CPR and/or First Aid certification, I would definitely recommend Columbia First Aid &CPR. I’ve taken classes here for the Healthcare Provider CPR certification with Michelle Petitie, who is the owner of the company, and she is great! I’ve never personally taken a CPR class other than with Michelle, but I hear that CPR training from other places(like Fire Stations, etc.) can be really long, boring, and tedious. Their studio is located off of Menlo and San Jacinto St. in the Farmer’s Corner center. They are upstairs and above a Computer Repair shop. Michelle is super cool, down to earth, and works at your pace. She is more than willing to work with you to set up a class that accommodates your schedule, so that is definitely a plus! Both times I’ve taken this training course with her, I was basically the only student, but she does hold group classes depending on how many students sign up and what day they are available. It took me less than 3 hours to complete the course; watching the American Heart Association Video, and practicing on dummies. Michelle will quiz you along the way, and the information is really helpful to prepare you for the little exam you take at the end of the course. You get the actual CPR card in the mail about 7 days after you take the course. CPR certification expires every two years, and since I had such a great experience my first time in June 2010, and today(August 2012), I will definitely be coming back in 2014 and every two years after that to renew my CPR with Michelle. –R
