History

Established in 2011.

A New Twist started as a one man show. Marcus started making balloons in restaurants at age 14 to save for college. In 2011 Marcus founded A New Twist Balloons and Face Painting seeking to connect families and corporate customers with talented and professional artists at affordable rates. Since then, A New Twist has helped entertain at over 2000 events a year and worked for such corporate customers as;

Google, Microsoft, Linkedin, Intel, Cisco, Paypal, TiVo, Dreamworks Animation and many more!

But we didn’t stop there! We now offers other popular event services such as photography, caricatures, henna art, and more. In the coming years we hope to be able to provide all of your party and event needs and continue to help the Bay Area celebrate!

Business Owner

Entertainer and entrepreneur. Basketball coach and business major. Honor roll student and first team all-​league varsity basketball sophomore year on. Aside from all that, he’s just a big kid who loves to have fun! With over 10 years in the industry, Marcus picked up the art of balloon twisting at the age of 14 after noticing someone making balloons for tips at a local diner and aspiring to do the same. A high school friend of his was able to teach him 10 or 15 basic balloons and he set out to the restaurants with hopes of earning some new sneaker money. It wasn’t long there after that he expanded his abilities and started getting requests to work various parties and events. With that, A New Twist was born.
