AAA Transmissions

Ok so got the van back last week and didn’t drive so well. Had to take it back acouple days later and I still don’t have an update on whats going on with it. This is very frustrating as I put all my money together to pay for it when they said it was ready and now I don’t even know when I will get it back, Something about the ide control, He stated bring it Saturday then Saturday he called and said oh I don’t have my mechanics till Monday so we will check it then, Today is Monday and its 2 ocklock I just want my van fixed and done with, I did pay over 2 thousand dollars for this work. !! So he calls my boyfriend back and states that he will charge me to diagnosis it. which is a load of shit. I guess since he got my money for the transmission he does not want to deal with it any longer. Its Bull ! Will never go back to them, ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY

Currently in the process of getting my car a new transmission and in the beginning it was running smoothly with AAA. Dave is a cool guy but the process and labor is taking longer than expected. Two days ago (Thursday) he said it would be done before the weekend. I then call to check how the process is going and he says it will be done today (Friday). So I stay around the area waiting for Dave’s call. About 455 I call to see if it is going to be done before the shop closes and he says they stay open later then their posted times to work on cars but probably not gonna be able to finish. Today (Saturday) I go into the shop at 11am and he tells me again it will be done today because it is «90 percent» done so I stay around the area to wait for Dave’s call. The shop is closing soon so I called Dave again and now he says it won’t be done today and they don’t work on Sunday’s so Monday «possibly». Il update this review if I ever get my car from the shop. 8÷15÷2015
Updated: got my car back and it’s running perfectly. Daves crew did a good job it just took longer than he mentioned before I made the decision to have my car worked on their. The prices are a bit ehhhhh. He charged me 137 $ for an engine mount but that same mount at the actual Honda dealership is only 80 $ so this mount better be unreal able for that extra 40 $. After I mentioned it to Dave he «sharpened his pencil» and waves the sales tax bringing all the parts down a few bucks… Do your homework before considering AAA and if you need your car back as soon as possible maybe head elsewhere that has more car lifts…

i got to give it to Ron and his crew. great job on my dodge stratus. before that I had taken my car to 2 other places and they were not able to figure out what the problems were… Ron stood by the car opened the door and knew exactly what the problem was. i guess u can call him. the Car Whisperer.lol.well anyway. the car runs great and I would recommend Ron to any of my friends!!!

So I decided to call them back and a man named oni gave me a call back and was amazed that Dave let me leave the shop with my truck running like that and asked me to bring it back he called me that day and informed me that his best guess was a clogged exhaust he also did a back pressure test and it was off the scale he said took it home chopped the cat of the exhaust ran down the block like it usually did best advice ask for Oni his customer service is awesome avoid Dave his customer service sucks!

Dave = Great customer service and no bull$#!
Mechanics= Great transmission specialists.
AAA transmisions did an excellent job on my 2000 GMC Savannah Cargo van. They gave me a 1 year warranty and unlimited miles warranty. Its been a year already so Im leaving a review. They also worked on my Fiancé’s 2004 Honda Accord and my Coworkers 1999 Honda Civic. Great job gentleman and thank you for your great service.

They have moved to 1860 Alum Rock. Dave is awesome and the pricing is fair! Not a major repair this time but I think I found my new auto shop! Thanks guys!

I went into Dave’s because a cousin of mine told me they’re very fair in pricing. I needed my water pump replaced along with a new belt. I did my research & was surprised that they offered to tow & diagnosis my car for free (tow is free with repair) Needless to say I only spent about 360 for parts & labor. My car was done in less than a day. My car sounds & works amazing. Their customer service is fantastic. They really try to build relationships with their clients. I’ll certainly be going back for any repairs in the future.

I just got my transmission rebuilt at a fairly great price and in a timely manner. Dave is competent in what he does and has restored my faith that there are really some HONEST mechanics out there that will NOT charge an arm and leg!
I will forever come to this shop on any major repair I plan on investing my money into.

I thought my transmission was having issues. I stopped in at AAA transmissions. Dave took the time to explain what he was thinking, in regards to my description. Dave test drove the car and ran it on the computer to see what might be wrong with it. He came back and told me that it was not my transmission but something to do with my idle and went into diagnosing the problem at no charge to me. I was very impressed that he did not just try to sell me on a rebuild but help me save money by resolving my issues. I did not expect that.
When Dave called me, he took the time to explain the various tests and results. He discussed in some detail the parts and expenses associated with the potential repairs.
So now, I know a good deal about my transmission. I am absolutely aware of the expense involved. I have all the knowledge necessary to consider my options. AAA Transmissions did me huge service.

OK So I went into AAA today to see if I can bring my Explorer in sometime in the week when I get time to have it towed and without hesitation Dave told me don’t worry about he’s someone to pick it up for me right now and mind you this is at 6pm. He’s super friendly and you can tell alot about people on first impressions and gut feeling and I felt like this is a guy whose not going to nickel and dime me. So my truck is now gone and it is in his hands now I’ll keep you updated on what happens. As for now he gets 5 stars because he made my wife and I feel so comfortable and reassured that I feel like I known him my who life… no lies! Fingers are crossed that it’s not an expensive fix!

So it’s been some time since my truck goit done and for all the work Dave needed to do it was very fairly priced. Now my 2^nd car is there and I’m waiting to find out what’s going on with that one. I will continue to bring in any vehicle I own to Dave cause he’s honest and very personable. They keep the 5 stars.
