I have been to this place many times and Dr. John Xie is really nice and informative. Whatever questions you want to ask him, he will answer. He isn’t one of those doctors who rushes to finish with the patient and leaves. Also Tran the optometry technician is super nice and friendly. She always has a smile on her face and is willing to help. When it comes to scheduling and ordering glasses, Jaylene is super helpful. I would highly recommend this office to my friends and family. :)

The eye doctors here are really nice and helpful, BUT the lady on the phone was really rude and had an attitude when I told her I wanted to cancel my appointment. Wished I got her name. She asked me if I wanted to cancel the appointment because another place was cheaper. This place was going to charge me $ 120 for contact eye exam and another $ 120 – 125 for one contact lens. What a ripoff. When I asked if she needed the fax number so she could fax my other eye doctor, she said how else would I be able to call? And when I asked if she could fax right away, she replied saying if you get off the phone now. Totally unprofessional. That lady probably hates her job. It is always busy here too.

My mother has been taking my grandmother to this clinic for a long time. The doctor is very nice and competent, however the front desk receptionist is EXTREMELY RUDE.
I have rarely seen service like this before. I called to let them know that I will be 5 minutes late because traffic was terrible on that Friday afternoon. The receptionist said they couldn’t take me if I was just 5 minutes late. I tried explaining and she rudely hung up on me. If I could, I would give this a 0 star.
Better take your business elsewhere.

The worst doctor… Giving eye surgery to my son without looking at the X-​ray. After the surgery, My son was feeling dizzy for a week He send us to Stanford, events thought the biopsy is negative, he told us that my son is having cancer. we went to Stanford hospital, the doctor in Stanford told us
That my son is loosing a lot of blood during the surgery that why he send us to Stanford
Because he can not continue the biopsy and give us FAULT diagnosis .
Making long story short… Avoid dr Danny Leung, hungry for money and careless to patient.

My husband recently visited the office and was told he needed to pay the entire bill then they would reimburse him after the insurance company paid them. I’m going to report this to VSP and my medical insurance, I’ve been to many optometrists and ophthalmologists my 25+ years of wearing contacts/​glasses and never been charged the full amount when I had insurance.

I really don’t know how did they get two 5 stars reviews.
Customer Service: Pay now we talk later! Really?! That’s all they worry about, getting their money upfront before anything else happen.
i booked an appointment over the phone for an annual eye exam, and planning to get contact lens from them too.
Me: I need to book an appointment for my annual eye exam.
Staff: Annual Eye Exam is $ 195, we only take check or cash no credit card.
So I ended up booking appointment because I really need it right away for my work approval.
They literally HARASSED me to pay up front $ 195 before I even fill out my patient application/​info, until I show them my insurance that cover 100% for my exam to calm them down. In the end, I still have to place a deposit of 50% until they get their money from my insurance then I can get my money refund. good luck with that!
Dr Elaine is nice and easy to work with, I have no complaint about her customer service and knowledge.

I contact this location for my yearly exam. I recently obtained VSP from my employer and wanted to make sure I can schedule an appointment. The lady on the phone was rude and completely unhelpful. She spoke to me like I had never been there before (I stated that I was a return client) and made some really unnecessary comments:
Lady: «You are responsible for your eye exam fee. There’s no getting around it.» — Um, did I say I wanted to «get around it?» I just told you I have insurance.
Lady: «You have to pay for an initial contact lens fitting fee. [My last fitting was here!] You are responsible for that fee.» — Well no shit, Sherlock.
Lady: «I couldn’t verify your insurance [my employer’s fault, not mine]. Call back when you get insurance.»
Me: «Well I’d like to get an appointment anyway…»
Lady: «We can’t make appointments for those who may not be able to afford to pay…»
Me: «For the last time, I’m a returning client. It’s not an issue of whether I can pay for it, I did not have insurance last year and I paid for my services just fine.»
Lady: «Oh…»
I’m not sure if this person was mistaking me for another client but I felt completely belittled and brushed off. I was going to spend a good amount of $ for my glasses + contacts but I’ll just take my business somewhere else.
P. s. Along with the crappy customer service, the wait time is ridiculous. Last time I was there, I waited 1+ hour and had to wait an additional 3 weeks to get my glasses. Forget it.

Excellent doctors, Danny Loung MD, and Elaine Chung, OD. Thorough services and professional. The wait time was average.
